Bill makes Eric an offer.
At the Forrester mansion, Donna nervously waits for Bill to arrive for dinner and recalls the offer he made her. When Eric comes down, Donna suggests that they cancel the dinner with Bill and go out, but Eric says that they need this dinner to get Bill's support in the fashion press. When Bill arrives, Eric breaks out champagne and proposes a toast. Bill suggests that they drink to new friends, but Eric hardly thinks that describes them given how Bill is allowing a bitter Stephanie to use his magazines and web site to get revenge. Bill brags that he's making money off "The Logan Chronicles," but Eric still doesn't think it's right and wants it to stop. Bill is willing to consider other options and presents Eric with an advance copy of EYE ON FASHION featuring a photo of Eric with the headline, "The Downfall of Forrester Creations." Eric asks what this means. Bill explains that his readers will learn what it means when they read that issue next week unless Eric gives him what he wants. Eric asks Bill what he wants. Worried that Bill will disclose the offer he made to her, Donna anxiously asks Eric to leave this to their lawyers to handle, but Bill is happy to answer Eric's question and reveals that he wants to buy Forrester Creations from Eric for 100 million dollars!

Donna and Eric are stunned by Bill's offer.
Eric lashes out at Bill for trying to devalue Forrester so that he can acquire the company. Bill warns that the offer might go down if Eric doesn't accept now. Eric asks if this is why Bill came to L.A., to buy Forrester. Bill points out that the first rule in business is to find your target's weaknesses and exploit them - which wasn't hard in this case given how those "Logan minxes," Brooke and Donna, are running around Forrester as distractions to keep any work from getting done. Eric asks Bill who he thinks he is. The next C.E.O. of Forrester Creations, Bill boasts. Eric recalls that Bill was a nobody until his father came along ten years ago and hired him to work at Spencer Publishing. Bill points out that his "stubborn son of a bitch" made him work, and he proved himself by making Spencer Communications into the success it is today in those ten years. But one thing about his father was that Bill Sr. wouldn't give Eric a second chance like his is now. Eric states that he went toe to toe with Bill's father, but Bill dares Eric to call his bluff. Before Eric can respond, he gets a call on his cell phone; taking the call, he tells Bill not to be there when he comes back. Alone with Donna, Bill reminds her that she only has to spend one night with him to save her husband's company. Donna tells him to get out, but Bill tells her to think about what he said and then leaves.

Nick looks at a photo of him and Bridget.
At the Marone mansion, Nick looks at a photo of him and Bridget from their wedding. When Katie comes down, he stashes the photo in a drawer and tells her that he needs to get to work. Katie tells him that she'll wait up for him. After Nick leaves, Katie opens the drawer and finds the photo Nick stuck there.

Owen tells Jackie that Nick should back off from his ex-wife.
At Jackie M, Jackie asks Owen what he wants to do tonight. He tells her that he has a date with Bridget, and it's going to happen whether she or Nick like it or not. Jackie asks if Nick said anything about Bridget. Owen asserts that Nick has to remember that he's engaged and stop worrying about his ex-wife, but Jackie reminds him that engagements are a dime a dozen in this town and predicts that Katie and Nick will never make it to the altar. Owen asks why Nick is with Katie if he still has feelings for Bridget. Jackie laughs that her son is soothing his conscience and states that anything Nick shares with Katie can't compare to what he had with Bridget, and Katie knows it.

Brooke gives Katie some advice.
Katie calls Brooke over to the house to tell her that she's leaving Nick. Brooke asks why. Katie thinks it should be obvious, since she and Nick would be married by now if it was meant to happen. Brooke asks Katie if she talked to Nick about this yet. Katie states that Nick would never walk away from her no matter how much he wants to be with someone else. Brooke asks if this is about Bridget. Katie laments that Nick is not over Bridget, and she's not sure she can live with that. That's why she won't stand in the way if Nick and Bridget find their way back to each other. Brooke urges Katie not to make any rash decisions, but Katie thinks she should have done this long ago. Brooke still thinks Katie should talk to Nick, but Katie thinks she just has to accept that she's living a life she took away from Bridget. Brooke insists that Bridget has moved on, but Katie thinks Bridget is just pretending, just like they all are. She thinks the only way to fix that is to be honest with herself and give Bridget her life back if she wants it. Brooke hugs her sister.

Katie tearfully writes a "Dear Nick" letter.
After Brooke leaves, Katie takes off her engagement ring and starts writing a letter to Nick. "This is the hardest letter I've ever had to write," she begins.

Bridget tells Nick that she's moving on.
At Jackie M, Bridget leaves an envelope on Nick's desk and is about to leave when Nick arrives. Nick opens the envelope and is surprised to find a letter of resignation. Bridget claims that she did what she set out to by proving herself as a designer, but Nick thinks something else is going on. Bridget sobs that she just can't be here anymore and asks him why he had to kiss her. Nick tells her that he's not sorry he did it and asks her not to resign, but Bridget doesn't think she can keep working here when it beings all those painful memories back. Nick confesses that he can't get his memories of what they shared out of his head. Bridget asks about Katie. Nick says he doesn't know, but Bridget thinks she knows, since she's been through this twice as his wife and it didn't work either time. She tells him that she'd done with him and intends to move on with Owen tonight. Nick argues that she barely knows Owen and has only dated him a couple of times, but Bridget counters that both dates ended badly because of Nick. She tells him that Owen has been patient with her and has not pushed her, but now she has to wonder if she needs to be pushed in order to put Nick behind her once and for all. Nick admits that he crossed the line, but he thinks it means something that Bridget didn't just drop her letter of resignation on his desk and leave. Bridget says that she's leaving now to be with Owen, who cares about her and knows that she deserves better. Nick agrees that she deserves better and promises to give her his best if she gives him another chance. Owen comes in and tells Bridget that he ordered in for their date tonight, so she won't have to leave early like she did last time. Bridget wipes away her tears and leaves with Owen.

Nick asks Jackie to help him get Bridget back.
Jackie comes in and is surprised that Nick is still there. She asks if it upsets him that Bridget is with Owen. Nick says that he shouldn't have let Bridget leave. Jackie asks if he's talking about with Bridget leaving with Owen just now, but Nick says he's talking about their marriage. He finally sees that his relationship with Bridget is hanging over what he has with Katie, and he and Katie both know it. The question is, can he give Bridget what she wants and what she needs? He thinks he can, and he even asked Bridget for a second chance. Yet she still left with Owen. Nick tells his mother that even with all the confusion in his life, he knows what he feels and what he needs, and what he needs is Bridget. The problem is that Bridget is scared. He knows he can be the man Bridget deserves, but he doesn't know how to do it, so he looks to Jackie for help. "Help me get her back where she belongs," he asks his mother.
