Stephanie shares her concerns.
Stephanie meets with Taylor and Thomas in Eric's office to tell them about Pam's arrest. Once Stephanie explains what evidence the police have, Taylor wonders if Pam might be guilty, but Thomas is sure his great aunt wouldn't try to kill Rick. Taylor points out that Pam has done things before, but Stephanie insists that her sister had nothing to with this. Stephanie fears that if Pam's not the one behind all this craziness, then the real culprit is still out there and Rick's still in danger - and so is Steffy, since she's at the beach house with Rick. "We've got to get her out of there," Stephanie implores. Taylor calls Ridge, who's basking in the afterglow with Brooke after making love. Brooke answers the phone and tells Taylor that Ridge is busy, but Taylor insists on talking to her ex. Ridge gets on the phone and asks, "What's up, Doc?" Taylor tells him that she needs him to meet her in Eric's office right away, because Steffy might be in danger. Ridge says that he'll be right there and hangs up. Brooke asks Ridge what's going on. Ridge tells her that Taylor didn't say, but it has something to do with Steffy. Since Taylor sounded so intense, he decides to meet her, much to Brooke's dismay.

Katie asks Brooke about Taylor's summoning Ridge.
After Ridge leaves, Katie drops by to see Brooke. They talk about Pam's arrest, and they're both relieved that wacko Pam is in jail and Rick is out of danger. Katie asks where Ridge is. Brooke explains that Taylor called Ridge, all worried about Steffy. Katie asks what there is to worry about. Nothing, Brooke states, which is why she thinks Taylor was just trying to create a lot of drama and stir the pot to get Ridge's attention. Katie asks her sister if that concerns her. Brooke says it doesn't, since she knows her relationship with Ridge is solid, and she admits that she actually feels sorry for Taylor. Katie asks why Ridge responded so quickly to Taylor's pleas. Brooke explains that Ridge feels vulnerable toward Steffy, and she suspects Taylor is milking that vulnerability for all it's worth. Katie doubts Taylor will win Ridge back that way. Brooke suggests that Taylor feels guilty about being with Rick and hurting Phoebe, so now she's trying to make up for that by protecting Steffy from Rick.

Taylor asks Ridge for his help.
When Ridge arrives at Eric's office, he sees that his mother and Thomas are with Taylor and asks what's going on. Stephanie tells him that he and Taylor should go fetch Steffy from the beach house. Ridge is confused, since Steffy is in no danger now that Pam's been arrested. Stephanie explains why she thinks Pam is being set up, which means that the person who tried to kill Rick is still out there. If that person comes stalking Rick at the beach house, Steffy might be in danger as well, which is why they have to get her out of that house and away from Rick. Taylor urges Ridge to heed his mother's advice. Ridge asks if he's supposed to just go over there and drag Steffy out. If they have to, Stephanie replies. Ridge suggests that they might all be overreacting; he doesn't like the idea of Steffy being with Rick, either, but he doesn't want to keep alienating his daughter and fighting with her. Taylor tells Ridge that she's been thinking about this, and she thinks they were wrong to allow Steffy to be with Rick. Thomas agrees, since he thinks Rick is bad news. Taylor fears that Steffy is in danger because Rick has made a lot of enemies who want to see him dead. Ridge points out that Steffy has made her desire to be with Rick quite clear, but the others think they have to do something before Steffy gets hurt. "I don't want to lose another daughter to Rick’s carelessness," Taylor frets to Ridge, pleading with him to accompany her to the beach house.

Rick tells Steffy about his dinner plans.
At the beach house, Steffy tells Rick how sorry she is about her grandmother's tirade. Bringing out a couple of bottles of wine, Rick quips that the secret to dealing with Stephanie is blowing her off - but right now, he doesn't want to talk about Stephanie, since he bets she won't like what she sees here, anyway. To show Steffy what he means, Rick kisses her. In between kisses, Rick asks Steffy if she's ready for dinner, since he has an impressive menu planned. For starters, the French wine is vintage 1982, which he thinks is the second best year after the year Steffy was born. And for their meal, he has Japanese Kobe beef, which he can make however Steffy likes it; he asks if she wants it peppered, sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, sashimi, or even raw. Laughing that she'll take it any way he serves it, Steffy kisses him again and purrs, "I wish every evening could be like this." Rick tells her that it can now that her parents aren't standing in their way. Kissing him some more, Steffy sighs that she doesn't ever want to leave here.

Brooke doesn't buy Stephanie's theory.
After Katie leaves, Brooke goes back to her bedroom and gets into her lingerie. Brooke hears the door and thinks it's Ridge, so she offers to show him what he's been missing, but she's shocked to see that it's Stephanie! "Do you Logan girls just sit around in your underwear all day?" La Forrester asks. Brooke asks Stephanie why she's there. Stephanie tells Brooke that Pam is innocent, which means that whoever is after Rick is still at large. That means that Steffy isn't safe, which is why Ridge and Taylor went over to get their daughter. Brooke doesn't buy Stephanie's theory, since there is a ton of evidence against Pam. Stephanie assures Brooke that Pam will be freed once the real assailant makes another attempt on Rick's life. Brooke says they'll just have to wait and see and bids Stephanie good night. Stephanie tells Brooke that protecting Steffy is her top priority. Brooke laughs that Stephanie may feel that way, but Ridge doesn't anymore. She asks Stephanie how it feels not to have control over everyone anymore. Stephanie frets that no one believes that there's a real danger here and leaves in frustration.

Ridge, Taylor and Thomas want Steffy to come with them.
Rick and Steffy chow down on their yummy steak; when Rick comments that he got lucky with the sauce, Steffy reminds him that today is an unlucky day on the calendar. Rick thinks they really are lucky since Pam is behind bars and Ridge is accepting them now. Steffy says she doesn't want to leave and then points out that she can't, since she had wine. Rick laughs that his plan is complete and makes some suggestions about what they can do, but they are interrupted when Ridge, Taylor and Thomas barge in and demand that Steffy come with them. Steffy tells her family that they're out of line and insists that she's staying, but Taylor and Ridge tell her that whoever is after Rick is still out there. Rick points out that Pam is in jail, but Thomas says it wasn't Pam. Rick and Steffy both refuse to believe that Pam is innocent, so Rick tells Steffy's family to leave, but Ridge insists on protecting the only daughter he has thanks to Rick. "Please leave me alone," Steffy cries. When Rick chimes in to agree with Steffy, Thomas punches him and knocks him to the ground. While Rick recovers from the sucker punch, Ridge and Thomas pull Steffy out, with Taylor right behind them.
Brooke sees a photo of her beach wedding with Ridge and flashes back to that day, but she comes back to reality when Rick barges in and tells her that "Ridge and Taylor and their weirdo freaky son Thomas" kidnapped Steffy. Brooke is stunned. "That family is insane," Rick seethes, vowing to find out where they took Steffy.

Steffy comes down on her family for holding her captive.
Meanwhile, Ridge takes his family up to the Big Bear cabin. While Thomas goes to get firewood, Taylor offers Steffy some hot chocolate, but Steffy doesn't want any and complains to her parents about their holding her captive. Taylor insists that it will only be until Rick's assailant is found. "It was Pam," Steffy retorts, but Ridge and Taylor explain that they think Pam was set up. Even so, Steffy counters, that didn't give them the right to barge in and drag her here. Ridge states they only wanted to protect her. When Thomas returns with the wood, Steffy asks if he feels like a big man. Thomas admits it felt good to hit Rick. Taylor tells Thomas that hitting Rick was wrong, but Thomas explains that he didn't want to give Rick a chance to work his charms on Steffy. Steffy tells her brother that she wants to be with Rick; Thomas retorts that she's as messed up as Rick. Fed up, Steffy goes to get some air. Ridge follows her. Taylor tells Thomas to cut his sister some slack, but he hates Rick and can't stand the thought of Rick touching Steffy. He offers to start a fire, but Taylor tells him to go to bed. As she cleans up the room, Taylor picks up Thomas's sweater and sees the label, which reads, "Made with love by Pam." As she holds the sweater, Taylor notices some of the yarn come off in her hand. Taylor recalls Stephanie telling her that police found fibers like the ones from Pam's crochet projects at the crime scene. Thomas returns and apologizes for how he treated Steffy. He tells his mom that he'd like to stay here for a while and be a family like they used to. Thomas then goes back to bed as Taylor stares again at the crochet fibers on her hand.
