Ridge tries to explain to Brooke.
Brooke is devastated by Ridge's confession that he slept with Taylor. Ridge tries to explain, but Brooke doesn't want to discuss it. Ridge thinks they have to talk about this if they're to get past it, but Brooke doesn't know if they can. "I can't believe that you could betray me this way," she cries. Ridge admits that he felt better with Taylor, but he wasn't himself at the time. Brooke asks if he's talking about the pills, assuming that Taylor drugged him with the anti-anxiety meds to get him into bed. Ridge tells her he knew exactly what he was doing. He won't make excuses for what he did, but he also won't blame anyone else. Brooke points out that Taylor gave him the pills, but he explains that Taylor only gave him one pill, and he took more without her knowing. Brooke tells him not to defend Taylor, who as a doctor knew how to use the pills to take advantage. Ridge insists that Taylor didn't take advantage, so Brooke asks how he wound up in bed with her. She believes that he only betrayed their vows because Taylor drugged him, but he says that she's wrong. Brooke feels like a fool for thanking Taylor for helping him and sobs, "How could you do this?" Ridge tries to respond, but Brooke shrieks, "How could you let her do this?!" and storms out of the house.

Bridget tries to get Nick's attention.
In Hawaii, Nick frets that his mother and Owen are AWOL. Bridget points out that there's not much he can do about it since he's thousands of miles away from home, so she suggests that he focus his attention on his brand new wife, who just happens to be standing right there. Nick turns around and sees that Bridget has stripped down to her lingerie, and the newlyweds engage in some serious smooching.

Owen helps Jackie dry iff.
Meanwhile, Owen gives Jackie a surfing lesson. Jackie is still a bit nervous, but Owen assures that she'll do just fine. After the lesson ends, they return to the hotel and get out of their swimsuits. Owen puts Jackie's bathing suit and sun dress out on the balcony to dry, draping them over the railing separating their terrace from their neighbors'. Jackie purrs that it was a good idea to let the garments dry outside, since it's about to get steamy in the room. Next door, Nick tries to teach his new bride how to play golf. Not quite getting the hang of it, Bridget suggests that he go golfing without her. Nick thinks golf is something they can do together, but Bridget decides to go out on the balcony and read a book. Following her out onto the balcony, Nick asks why she'd want to stay there alone with a book. Spotting their neighbors' laundry draped onto their side of the balcony, he rants about how tacky it looks. At least their neighbors have good taste, Bridget laughs, since the bathing suit is from Jackie M.

Bridget and Nick observe some Hawaiian wedding preparations.
Nick finally convinces Bridget to give golf a try and leads her to the golf course. On the way, they run into Chaika, the concierge, who is busy planting flowers in a sand garden. Chaika explains that the couple he told them about who just checked in is newly engaged, and the groom has arranged for a traditional Hawaiian wedding ceremony. After checking out the preparations, Nick and Bridget move on to the golf course. Back at the hotel, Owen finalizes the wedding plans while Jackie takes a shower. When Jackie emerges from the shower, Owen teases that he has a surprise for her, and this time it doesn't involve surfing. Jackie tries to pry more information out of him, but Owen will only tell her that it has to do with love.

Jackie learns what Owen's surprise is.
By a practice tee, Nick shows Bridget how to stand and hold a golf club. Bridget thinks he'd have more fun with someone who knows what they're doing, but Nick wants to enjoy this with her. Bridget thinks that's sweet, but she's really not that good. Standing behind her, Nick gives her some more instructions on how to swing the club. After a few practice swings, he puts a ball down and tells her to hit it out towards the sand. Standing just as Nick showed her, Bridget lines up the club and swings back. Nick tells her to let it rip. Bridget hits the ball and lets it fly, nearly hitting Jackie and Owen as they walk down the beach. Seeing that the ball almost hit that couple, Nick tells Bridget that they should move on. Meanwhile, Jackie asks Owen where her surprise is. Owen tells her that Nick will make his life a living hell when they return to L.A. in order to keep them from getting married. But even though Nick is convinced that their relationship isn't real, Owen doesn't feel that way and wants to prove his commitment to Jackie. He asks her to marry her there, in Hawaii, on this beautiful beach. "Please, say yes. Make me the happiest guy in Hawaii," he pleads.

Stephanie urges Taylor to call Ridge.
At Taylor's, Stephanie wants to call Ridge to find out what's going on with Brooke, but Taylor tells her to put down the phone and resumes her work. "Don't you want to know what's going on?" Stephanie asks. Taylor doesn't think that anything is going on, since Ridge would be here with her if that's what he wanted. Since Ridge isn't here, she presumes that he and Brooke found a way to deal with what happened and moved on. Stephanie doesn't think that Ridge and Brooke could just sweep Ridge's sleeping with Taylor under the rug, but Taylor thinks that those two have obviously gotten back together.

Taylor defends herself against Brooke.
An enraged Brooke shows up at Taylor's and starts pounding on the door, calling out for Taylor to let her in. Once Taylor opens the door, Brooke reams her for drugging Ridge to lure him into bed and accuses Stephanie of helping. Stephanie tries to defend Taylor, but Brooke glares at her rival and asks if she gave Ridge any pills. When Taylor admits she did, Brooke accuses her of using the meds to confuse Ridge and push him closer to the edge. Taylor says that she wouldn't do that, but Brooke reminds her of her promises to do whatever it took to steal Ridge back. She just can't believe that Taylor would stoop this low. Stephanie tells Brooke that Ridge turned to Taylor for love and support when Brooke abandoned him by siding with Rick, but Taylor cuts her off and says that she can handle this. Stephanie leaves the room at Taylor's request. Once her friend is gone, Taylor tears into Brooke for coming here and making accusations. She thinks that any pain she might have caused Ridge pales in comparison to the turmoil Brooke and Rick put him through. Brooke asserts that Ridge came to Taylor for support, but Taylor used his grief to get what she wanted. "He left you because he couldn't stand to live with you anymore," Taylor retorts. "You practically handed him to me." Brooke insists that she did no such thing, suggesting that Ridge only left her to take time to heal, not because he didn't love her anymore. That's why he turned to Taylor for support: she believes Ridge only wanted to share his grief with Taylor, not his life or his bed. She orders Taylor to tell her how many pills she gave Ridge.

Brooke tells Ridge that this is good-bye.
Ridge comes in and tells Brooke to stop. He tells Taylor he's sorry. Brooke tells him not to apologize to Taylor after what she did, but Ridge says she didn't do anything. Brooke asks how that can be when he said that sleeping with Taylor was a mistake. Ridge explains that HE made a lot of mistakes that night, and the biggest was taking those pills. He sees now that it was a stupid thing to do, but he assures that Taylor didn't know how many pills he took. Taylor doesn't think Brooke believes Ridge. Brooke confirms that she doesn't. Ridge tells Brooke that he never meant to hurt her. He just wanted to get Rick off his mind because of what Rick did to Phoebe and might do to Steffy. Brooke asks if he's saying this was Rick's fault. Ridge states that he never meant to betray her and calls what happened a terrible, terrible mistake. Brooke agrees that it was a mistake, but she thinks his actions that night show just how deep his feelings for Taylor still run - deep enough to destroy their love. "You turned to another woman and made a mockery out of what we shared," she sighs, wondering how they can get past this. She weeps that it was like a dagger in her heart when Ridge told her he slept with Taylor, and now she doesn't know what else to do. "I really think this is good-bye," she sobs.
