Nick tells Jackie that he doesn't want Owen around.
At Jackie M, Jackie offers to babysit for Nick if he wants to take time to catch up with Bridget. Nick snarks that she won't be doing any babysitting as long as she's with Owen, as he doesn't want Mr. Knight around Jack or the company. Jackie assures him that Owen is good for her and the company, but Nick refuses to budge. Jackie tells him not be such a fuddy-duddy; she doesn't find it so difficult to believe that Owen actually likes her for who she is and isn't out to take advantage of her. On cue, Owen arrives for a meeting about discounting parts of their line to the boutiques. After Owen outlines his proposal, Nick frets that it will cut into their profits, but Jackie thinks it's an excellent idea. Before they can debate the idea some more, Jackie gets called away. "Play nice, boys," she purrs to her son and lover as she leaves. Owen asks Nick if they're done, but Nick says they're not and orders Owen to sit down. Owen tells Nick that he's still not interested in any cash offers to get him away from Jackie and assures that he cares about Ms. M. Nick thinks Owen only cares about what Jackie can do for him and predicts that Jackie will eventually see through Owen's act. Owen thinks Jackie can decide that for herself. Nick grabs Owen by his lapels and tells him to watch his mouth. "You will never be anything more than her boy toy," Nick growls, looking forward to the day Owen gets booted out of there.

Jackie defends Owen.
Jackie returns and tells Nick to stop bullying Owen, reminding her son that he was the one who told her to find someone. Nick snipes that he wanted her to find a man, not a boy, but Jackie purrs that Owen is all man and tells Nick that Owen makes her happy. Nick warns Owen to make sure he does his job and leaves for a meeting with the accountants. Owen locks the door and walks over to Nick's desk. As he starts to clear the desk, he tells Jackie that she's the boss and he just takes the orders. Taking off his jacket and unbuttoning his shirt, he offers to leave if she wants him to, but he doesn't think she wants that. "No, absolutely not," Jackie sighs. She approaches Owen and starts to take off his shirt, asking if he wants to do it here in Nick's office. Owen confirms that he wants her right there, on Nick's desk and they start making out on the desk.

Donna frets that their troubles still may not be over.
At Forrester, Eric tells Donna that their sales will improve now that Stephanie has called off the dogs. Donna warns him not to get complacent, since Bill still wants this company. Eric thinks losing Stephanie as an ally will lessen Bill's impact, but Donna thinks that Bill is a man who is used to getting what he wants. Donna asks if they can trust Stephanie after all the damage she caused. Eric thinks they can, but Donna fears that Bill is a force to be reckoned with, with or without Stephanie. Eric predicts that their clients will come back without Stephanie's negative impact. Donna hopes he's right, but she still doesn't trust Stephanie. Eric doesn't think Stephanie will break her promise to their children to stop the attacks. But Bill is still a problem, Donna admonishes, since he plays for keeps and lives for getting what he wants. Eric vows that Bill won't get anything of his.

Bill brags to Stephanie that he's won.
At Spencer Publishing, Bill meets with a woman named Ursula about their market share in the southeast. Once Bill instructs her to have a plan to fix the problems on his desk by this afternoon, Ursula leaves, running into Stephanie on her way out. Ursula asks Stephanie if she has the next "Logan Chronicle," but Stephanie says there won't be one today. Once Ursula is gone, Bill tells Stephanie to give up her quest to save Eric; he brags that he doesn't need her anymore and holds all the cards, so the game is over. Stephanie reminds him that this isn't a game and warns that he is heading down a dangerous path. Bill thinks Eric is hiring undocumented workers, but Stephanie insists that his speculations are dead wrong. Bill thinks otherwise given how worked up she got last night when he pressed her for information about Eric. Stephanie retorts that he just saw a woman who realized it was a mistake to get involved with him. Since he can see that she's holding out, Bill says he'll just have to get the information he wants on his own. Stephanie cautions that there is nothing to find and promises to sue him for slander if he keeps pursuing this. Her denials just make Bill want to dig deeper. He promises that Forrester will be his; it's just a question of whether or not he has to send Eric to jail to get it. "Over my dead body," Stephanie boasts. Bill tells her not to make promises she can't keep. She tells him that's not a promise, it's a threat. "Don't get ahead of yourself, junior," she quips as she leaves.

Eric is livid when Stephanie tells him Bill's plans.
Stephanie goes to see Eric to tell him that she's done with "The Logan Chronicles." Eric tells her that he already heard from their children and thanks her. Stephanie tells him that they might still have problems with Bill, who is looking for dirt based on an innocuous comment she made. Eric asks what she said, so she tells him about her comments about his kind heart getting him into trouble legally and how Bill inferred from that remark that Forrester is hiring undocumented workers. She asks if there is anything to Bill's suspicions. Eric reminds her that they've been investigated before, but they've been careful since that incident with Claudia Cortez a few years ago and everyone is protected. Stephanie asks if he's sure. Eric shouts that he is, fuming that she was so angry with him that she would get involved with a pariah like Bill. Stephanie admits that she was helping Bill buy the company so he could sell it to her, placing control back in the hands of their children. Eric is furious that she was part of Bill's plan to steal this company away. Stephanie argues that she just wanted to fix things for their children. She sure fixed it, all right, Eric seethes. Stephanie tells him to stay on point and asks again if there is anything for Bill to find. Eric insists all their workers are properly documented. Stephanie suggests they check with the lawyers, to make sure they can keep Eric out of jail, but Eric assures that their bases are covered.

Jarrett reluctantly helps Bill.
Bill sits in his office, watching the video of Donna seducing Eric from the first "Logan Chronicles" installment. Jarrett comes in and asks Bill why he wanted to see him. Bill states that he's aware of Jarrett's history covering the Forresters for EYE ON FASHION and asks if Jarrett he knows about any transgressions Eric may have been involved in with regard to his employees. Jarrett insists that Eric is above reproach, but Bill keeps questioning him, pointing out that Forrester uses a lot of foreigners in the sewing and cutting rooms. He suggests that Eric might not be on the up-and-up with the law. Jarrett asks Bill if he has proof. Bill says he doesn't yet, but he expects Jarrett to help him find that proof. Jarrett reluctantly makes some calls to some contacts and gets a copy of Forrester's database on their employees. He frets that he's not comfortable doing this, but Bill thinks Eric must be held accountable if he's guilty. They start to verify citizenship records, but Jarrett warns that they are looking for a needle in a haystack. Bill thinks it will be worth it and asks Jarrett to pick out a name from the database. Bill googles the name Jarrett gives him and discovers that all the personal information on the web matches the database - but then he looks further and finds that the man died years ago! "Eric Forrester, you sneaky little devil," Bill laughs, realizing that Eric is committing identity theft with dead people, giving their names and social security numbers to illegal employees.

Stephanie tries to explain her actions.
Back at Forrester, Eric scolds Stephanie for letting her temper get them in trouble again. Stephanie counters that she can say the same thing about his philandering, but he points out that his actions never threatened to take the whole company down. Stephanie admits that she thought that they would get back together when he came out of his coma, so she was angry and upset when he went back to Donna instead. That doesn't justify her insulting his wife and her family or destroying this company, Eric retorts. Stephanie concedes that this wasn't how she thought things would turn out. Stephanie then gets a call from Bill, telling her to inform Eric to hand over the company or go to jail. He's sure Eric won't like the consequences if he refuses. "Stephanie, you're no match for me," Bill adds, a huge grin on his face.
