Thomas learns that his sister was fired.
After Katie leaves, Thomas comes in with some papers for Steffy to sign for the Glamour promotion. Steffy tells him that she can't sign them since she was just fired. Thomas doesn't believe it, but Steffy tells him it's true. Stunned, Thomas wants to know what happened. He can't see how Katie could fire Steffy after all her hard work and wants to talk to their dad about this, but Steffy stops him and admits that she kissed Bill. Assuming Bill made a move on his sister that prompted the kiss, Thomas is incensed, but Steffy tells him that the kiss was her doing. Thomas asks why she'd kiss the man who stole their family's company and diminished the roles of their dad and grandpa. Steffy tells him that Katie accused her of doing it to hurt Katie and get revenge. Thomas scoffs at Katie's attempt to play shrink and read into his sister's motives, but Steffy tells him that Katie is right: she despises Katie for taking the company from their family and wants to take something away in return. "I want her to hurt like we hurt!" she declares.

Steffy vows to get Forrester back in her family's hands.
Thomas warns Steffy that talking this way isn't healthy, but Steffy looks around the office and fumes at how much it hurts to see Katie sitting in her granddad's chair doing the job that should be her father's. The company was supposed to be their legacy, she spits, but the Logans run it and Bill owns it. Every time she hears someone refer to them as a division of Spencer Publications, it makes her sick. But now she doesn't have to hold back, since she's been fired by the high and mighty Katie Logan. Thomas thinks there must be something they can do, but Steffy reminds him that Bill and Katie have all the power and control their destiny. But she's not going to take it anymore, since she wants revenge, just as Katie surmised. Thomas tries to calm her, pointing out that things will blow sky-high around here when their dad finds out. He'd hate to see that happen since things were just starting to run smoothly. Steffy insists that they have to stand up for what's theirs. She doesn't know how she's going to do it, but she's determined to restore the dignity of the Forrester name and get the company back in their family's hands.

Bill prepares a surprise dinner for Katie.
At the beach house, Bill has a chef/caterer prepare a special romantic dinner for two. When Katie arrives, she's thrilled to see what her hubby has arranged and greets him with a kiss. Bill asks how things went with Steffy, but she wants to talk about that later, since she'd rather kiss some more right now. After a few more smooches, they settle down on the couch to eat. After Bill unveils their fancy dinner and gives her the first bite, Katie asks what prompted all this. Bill explains that he did this because he feels fortunate to have such an amazing wife. Katie asks to hear more about this amazing woman, so Bill lauds her as being beautiful, brilliant and adventurous, as well as stubborn and hardheaded in a good way. "To top it all off," he adds, "miracle of miracles, she loves me." Katie tells him he's not that hard to love. They start making out and lie back on the couch to make love.

Katie gets a gorgeous diamond necklace from Bill.
After they have sex, Katie lies her head on Bill's chest and listens to the waves outside, reminding her of their private honeymoon beach. As they recall lying naked on the beach and making love, Bill tells her that she looks naked right now. Katie laughs that he's very observant, but he explains that he meant that she's missing something and presents her with something to fix that: a beautiful diamond necklace! After Bill helps her put it on, Katie giggles that she'll have to find the perfect Forrester gown to go with it, but Bill teases that he likes it with what she's not wearing right now. As they cuddle, Katie brings up the subject of Steffy. When Katie tells him how apologetic Steffy was, Bill agrees that Steffy is just a young, naive girl who made a mistake, but Katie calls it a serious lapse in judgement. Bill thinks Steffy can move on if she just focuses on her work, but Katie tells him that Steffy won't be working for them anymore since she fired her! After Katie puts on a robe, Bill asks if her decision to fire Steffy was a bit rash, but she tells him that Steffy crossed a line with her actions. More importantly, she's convinced that Steffy's behavior was motivated by revenge, to get back at her for stealing the company away from the Forresters. That's why she had to fire Steffy before she could cause more trouble. While Katie goes to get more wine, Bill sits there, looking bothered by his wife's decision.

Taylor teases Whip.
At Insomnia, Taylor ribs Whip about the fact that he's her Internet date. "What happened to your lair of ladies, 'Mr. I don't need a computer to get a date'?" she teases. Whip admits he exaggerated a bit like P.R. guys typically do. It's not so much that he can't get a date, he explains, but that most the beautiful women in L.A., while nice to look at, have very little "going on upstairs." Whip then laughs as he wonders what Taylor's daughter, his competition in the fashion P.R. world, would think of her mother dating him. He confides that he actually thinks Steffy is very good at her job, and Forrester is lucky to have her. Talking about his work, he admits he likes how P.R. work gives him the chance to shake things up. Taylor wonders if he was trying to shake up his personal life the same way by trying online dating. Whip confesses that he would have asked her out if he knew they were on the same path, leading Taylor to ask why he just didn't. Whip admits that he was a bit intimidated by her and was afraid he'd get shut down. Taylor points out that he has a lot going for him and asks why someone like him is still single. He explains that he was waiting for the right woman to come along, and he almost thought he had found her recently. Taylor asks who it was, but Whip doesn't want to say. After some prodding, Whip reveals that his dream woman was Jackie! Taylor does a double-take upon learning that he had a thing for his married boss. Whip recounts how he thought he had a chance with Jackie when she and Owen were having problems, but now he sees that their relationship is rock solid.

Whip asks Taylor out on an official date.
Taylor comments on Whip's apparent attraction to older woman. He tells her that his brief "cougar infatuation" is over and now he wants to focus on relationships with women who are available and preferably single, like her. He's glad some lucky guy hasn't already snatched her up, especially since she was this close to remarrying Ridge. Whip then asks Taylor if she plans to make any more contacts through the Internet dating site. She tells him that she's done with online dating and asks about his plans. Whip tells her that there's one more woman he'd actually like to date, a beautiful, stunning, smart brunette psychiatrist with blue eyes who's a bit intimidating, but a lot of fun. When Taylor says she thinks she knows that woman, Whip asks if she thinks the woman would go out with him. "You'd have to ask her," Taylor states, so Whip asks her out to dinner. When Taylor agrees, Whip is thrilled and promises to make it a traditional date without any computers involved. Taylor likes the way that sounds. Whip confides that he's admired her from afar for a long time, but he never thought he'd be asking her out on a date. He knows she's done the whole "Mrs. Ridge Forrester" deal, but he thinks she hasn't been appreciated and wants her to know that she's an exceptional woman. Blushing, Taylor thanks him for the compliment, and they clink their coffee mugs in a toast to having a wonderful time together.
