Whip comes to Sandy for answers.
At her trailer, a frazzled Sandy splashes cold water on her face and pulls her hair back, but sounds in her head of cameras clicking, flashbulbs popping and people laughing frighten her. She jumps when she hears a knock at the door. Peeking out through the curtain, she sees that it's Whip. She opens the door with the chain still on and asks how he found her. Whip says that he was worried about her after she bolted out of Jackie M yesterday and asks her to let him in. Sandy reluctantly lets him in. Whip asks why she ran out of the photo shoot, since the girl he used to know loved that stuff. Sandy hopes he didn't come here to hassle her. He says that he's just concerned. Picking up some junk food, he asks why she's not eating healthy now that she's a surrogate. She tells him that stuff is old and she is eating healthy now. Whip asks if she knows how important this baby is to Nick and Bridget. Sandy says she knows, especially since she's being tested today to see if she's pregnant. Whip asks her to level with him about the real reason she decided to be a surrogate.

Sandy is annoyed at being questioned.
Annoyed at being questioned, Sandy unlocks the door and asks Whip to leave. Whip reminds her how close they were when he was at Forrester. He reminds her that he was ready to get her a job there when she vanished without a trace, so he wants to know what happened. Sandy assures him she's doing fine, but Whip knows something happened to her and wishes she'd let him help. When Sandy doesn't say a word, Whip leaves. Sandy closes the door behind him and locks it, standing in the trailer alone with her thoughts.

Ridge senses something bothering Brooke.
Brooke lies in bed, thinking about Bill's confession that Steffy kissed him. Ridge wakes up and, noting how restless she was last night, asks what's bothering her. When she doesn't answer, he asks if it has anything to do with Bill. Brooke asks why he'd think that. Ridge states that he doesn't trust Bill and is waiting for the next shoe to drop. Brooke hopes there's no more bad blood ahead since Bill is part of the family now, but she agrees that Bill's a difficult man to trust. Brooke then asks Ridge if he's spoken to Steffy lately. He says that Steffy's been busy since she was named head of P.R. Brooke thinks Steffy just wants to make him proud. Ridge admits he's proud to see his daughter come into her own, and he knows he has Katie to thank for that. Brooke wonders if Steffy might be doing too much, not only to please Katie and Bill, but also to make her dad proud. She hints that Steffy might need her father more than ever now. While Brooke brushes her hair, Ridge gets a call from Stephanie, who wants to know if Brooke talked to Rick about using the cabin as a love nest. As Ridge hangs up, Brooke tells him that she already talked to Rick, but Ridge thinks his mother has a right to be annoyed about Rick or his lady friends leaving jewelry lying between the couch cushions. When Ridge goes to take a shower, Brooke thinks about Ridge's comment that the necklace was found between the couch cushions and wonders what Bill hasn't told her.

Steffy chats with Rick.
Rick enters Katie's office and finds Steffy leaving proofs for the Glamour campaign on the desk. He tells her that Katie, like a typical newlywed, is running late, and segues from there to a confession to Steffy about their relationship. He admits that he never stopped wanting the best for her and hopes she'll find a man who can make her as happy as Bill and Katie. Steffy asks if he's seeing anyone. He says he isn't and asks about her, but she says she's too busy with her new responsibilities. Rick congratulates her on her promotion and praises her work on the Glamour campaign. Steffy's glad her idea has brought everyone together as a team, but she wants most to make Bill and Katie proud with a successful campaign. Rick is sure she'll do well. Steffy asks if he ever wanted to turn back the clock and do things differently. Rick says he knows better than anyone that as much you want to, you can't change the past. Steffy thinks they should get back to work. Rick tells her not to worry too much, since Katie thinks so highly of her. "You're her golden girl," he says. Reflecting on that comment, Steffy stares at the photo she gave Katie as a wedding gift.

Rick reveals what he's been up to in his spare time.
After Steffy leaves, Rick takes a call from a woman. Ridge enters and overhears the end of the conversation. He presumes from what he heard that Rick's love life is going strong and asks if that was the lady Rick took to the cabin when he lost his necklace. Weary of being accused again, Rick says that the necklace isn't his and he hasn't even been to the cabin since he broke up with Steffy. Ridge says his mother begs to differ. Rick says Stephanie is wrong and explains that the woman he was talking to, Genevieve, is a coordinator for a homeless charity. He knows Ridge might not believe it, but he's been trying to become a better man after acting like a jerk, and he spent his day yesterday helping to build a house. Losing Steffy was a wake-up call, he explains, and while it will take time to change, he's getting there. Ridge apologizes for not giving Rick the benefit of the doubt about the necklace and admits his mother may have been wrong. Rick takes that in the spirit it's intended and leaves. While leaving sketches for Katie, Ridge sees Steffy in the hall and calls her in. He asks if she's seeing anyone. Steffy says she's been focusing on work, but before she can say anything more, she gets called downstairs. Ridge tells her that he's there if she ever wants to talk. Steffy tells him she loves him and leaves.

Katie teases Bill about letting her sleep in.
Bill sits in his office and looks at his sword necklace. When he hears Katie call from outside that he's in big trouble, he hides the necklace. Katie comes in and playfully chastises him for letting her sleep in. Bill tries to make it up to her by telling her how much he loves her, so she forgives him and kisses him. Seeing his bare neck, she assures him that his missing necklace will turn up. Bill tells her not worry, but she can't help thinking how that necklace seemed like part of him. He tells her that fast cars and fast women used to be part of his life, too, but then he met her. Katie laughs that he shouldn't give up his dark side completely, since it's sexy and dangerous, and they start making out. Katie pulls away since she has to get to work, but Bill teases that her boss will write her a tardy slip. Katie asks what she did to deserve him. Bill says he's the one who has to be worthy of her, and he won't stop working until he proves that he is. He locks the door and they make love.

Bill agrees to tell Brooke what happened.
Following their interlude, Katie and Bill get dressed. Bill tries to sneak in a couple of more kisses, but Brooke comes knocking at the door. Katie laughs that Brooke will know what was going on here, so she unlocks the door and tells her sister, "Yes, it's exactly what it looks like," as she walks out. Bill tells Brooke he's glad she came now, since she saw how happy her sister is, and that proves Brooke made the right decision not to tell Katie about the kiss. Brooke says that she agreed to stay silent when she thought it was just one innocent kiss, but now she's not sure that's the whole story, so she wants to know exactly what happened at the cabin. Confused, Bill asks what she means, since he thought they settled this. Brooke reveals to him that the necklace was found between the couch cushions. She doesn't see how that can be if it just fell off his neck while he was talking. Bill tells her that he could have been sitting on the couch when it fell, but Brooke doesn't buy that and accuses him of getting physical with Steffy on the sofa. When Bill doesn't respond, Brooke threatens to go to Steffy to find out what happened. "Don't," Bill urges. "Then tell me everything, every last detail!" Brooke demands. Bill still remains silent, so Brooke turns to leave, but Bill stops her and agrees to tell her what happened.
