Bridget thanks Jackie for being part of her life.
Jackie tries to convince Owen to stay in and go back to the bedroom, but Owen thinks they have to get something to eat to keep their energy up. Jackie suggests they order in, but Owen sees nothing wrong with an employee and his boss eating together in public. Jackie gives in, but she asks if they can at least take some work with them so it looks like they're working. Owen agrees and grabs some folders before opening the door and finding Bridget standing there. Bridget is surprised to see Owen at first, but then she assumes that he and Jackie were working and admits that she's impressed by their passion for their work. Jackie chuckles that yes, they are quite passionate. Bridget thinks this proves what she told Jackie about what a good worker Owen is. "He's a very hard worker. Certainly made an impression on me," Jackie agrees. Bridget remembers that she brought a gift for Jackie and takes it out of her bag. Jackie opens it and is thrilled that it's a framed picture of Jack. Bridget explains that even though she and Nick are divorced, she feels like Jackie has been so supportive of her, so she is grateful to have Jackie in her life. Jackie says that she's the one who feels honored to have Bridget as both an employee and a friend. As Bridget turns to leave, she asks Owen if he wants to grab a bite to eat, since he was on his way out when she arrived. Owen says he has lots more work to do, but Jackie says that they accomplished a lot tonight and encourages him to go with Bridget. Given Jackie's response, Owen agrees, so Bridget goes to get her sketchbook from the office and says she'll be back in a bit.

Owen is confused by Jackie's behavior.
Once Bridget is gone, a confused Owen asks Jackie why she just encouraged him to go on a date with Bridget. Jackie points out that it's not a date and asks what the big deal is about a simple dinner, since he obviously likes Bridget. Owen admits that he does, but he reminds Jackie that Bridget turned him down every time he asked her out. Jackie thinks that's because Bridget is still in love with Nick. Minutes later, Bridget returns and is ready to go. Jackie sends her employees on their way and tells them to have a good time. After Owen and Bridget leave, Jackie says to herself that Owen is a stunning specimen of masculinity. She thinks he might be just the kind of guy to make Nick jealous and get him away from that black widow Katie and back to Bridget where he belongs.

Ridge confronts Rick on the jet.
At the airport, Rick is stunned as he peers out the cockpit window and sees Ridge running down the runway and in front of the jet to make it stop. Rick tells the pilot to take off, but the pilot refuses with Ridge on the runway and stops the jet. Spotting Rick from the runway, Ridge glares at him. Steffy comes in and asks what's going on. Rick takes her aside and begs her not to let anyone fill her head with things that aren't true, no matter what happens. He assures her that they will still get married and no one will stop them. Hearing her parents board the plane, Steffy heads for the main cabin with Rick right behind. Steffy asks Ridge and Taylor what's going on. Ridge tells Steffy to go with Taylor, since he needs to talk to Rick alone, but Steffy refuses. Taylor asks Steffy to please come with her. Steffy reluctantly complies. As Taylor and Steffy prepare to exit the jet, Rick pleads with Steffy to keep believing in him. After the ladies are gone, Rick sneers at "daddy dearest" Ridge for playing the hero and butting in, but Ridge is sure that Steffy will see Rick's true colors once she hears that tape. Rick scoffs that Steffy isn't going to give a damn about that garbage, but Ridge thinks that Rick's arrogant, disrespectful tone and use of phrases like "I own her" will convince Steffy. Rick denies using those words, but Ridge says he has it on tape. He bets Rick big mouth and bigger ego will get him into big trouble with Steffy once she heard what Rick said.

Taylor plays the tape for Steffy.
Taylor takes Steffy home and sets up Ridge's laptop to play back the recording Ridge made of Rick. Steffy asks her mom to for once give Rick a chance, because he treats her with respect, but Taylor tells Steffy about the recording and thinks that will show Steffy how Rick really is when she's not around. Taylor starts off with the part where Rick bragged that he owns Steffy, but Steffy blows that off as guy talk between her dad and Rick. Taylor then plays the part where Rick taunted that he could convince Steffy to go far away from Ridge and never see him again, but Steffy still defends Rick. Taylor then goes on to the part where Rick called Ridge "Marone" and said he'd make Steffy a real Forrester, not a pretender like Rick. Steffy can't believe that Ridge had the nerve to tape Rick, but Taylor says there's more. The next part on the tape has Rick calling Ridge chicken and making chicken noises to get to him, followed by Rick's boasting about the wedding day and the honeymoon after. Steffy says she doesn't want to hear any more, but from the look on her face, Rick's words are getting to her. Taylor tells Steffy to see how disrespectful Rick talks to Ridge and insists that Rick is just using Steffy for revenge. Steffy tries to leave, but Taylor resumes the playback with the part where Rick says flat out that this marriage is motivated by revenge, not love. When Steffy hears the part where Rick says he will be looking not at her, but at her dad, during the ceremony to relish the pain Ridge is feeling, she stops in her tracks. Steffy doesn't know what to think, but Taylor thinks it's clear that Rick is no good and isn't the kind of person Steffy wants to spend her life with.

Rick boasts to Ridge that he failed.
Back on the jet, Rick warns Ridge that his marriage is over once Brooke finds out about this secret tape, but Ridge is confident that he and Brooke will be just fine. Rick doesn't think so, but before he can say anymore, he gets a call from Steffy asking him to come over. Rick says he'll be right there and hangs up. He then boasts to Ridge, "You failed" and advises Ridge to just accept that Steffy's riding the "Rick train and isn't ever getting off. Making train noises, Rick leaves the jet, with Ridge right behind.

Steffy confronts Rick.
When Ridge and Rick arrive at Taylor's house, Rick asks for a moment alone with his fiancee, but Ridge refuses. Steffy tells her dad it's OK, since she wants to speak with Rick alone. Taylor objects, but Steffy assures her mom it's fine. Once her parents leave the room, Steffy tells Rick that she figured it out. She guesses that Rick suddenly wanted to whisk her away because he knew about the recording. Rick admits that he knew and claims that he didn't want to let her dad set him up. Steffy laughs that he always seems to find a way to blame someone else for his problems. Rick contends that Ridge backed him into a corner and provoked him into saying those things, but Steffy points out that the words were all his. Rick insists that they were just words, and he didn't mean any of it. He knows he was stupid by letting Ridge push his buttons, but he doesn't want her to think that he would ever hurt her. "Please believe me," he pleads.
