Ridge and Brooke are shocked by Rick's surprise.
Rick asks Ridge, Brooke and Steffy to take a drive with him to some secret place. Ridge opts out, but Rick insists that Ridge be there. After Brooke and Steffy add their pleas for him to come along, Ridge agrees to go, but he insists on driving. Soon after, Ridge's SUV pulls up by the beach at Pt. Dume in Malibu, where Brooke and Ridge got married twice. Rick kisses Steffy and announces that this is where he wants them to get married. The others are stunned and ask Rick why he'd want to get married here. "It's perfect!" Rick raves. Steffy agrees that it's lovely, but she'd rather find their own special spot to get married. She can't understand why he'd pick the same spot where her dad married his mom. Ridge would also like to know why Rick made that choice. Rick explains that this was a magical place for Ridge and Brooke twice, and the second time was especially significant because it represented a second chance for them. He thinks they can all use a second chance right now, and what better way to unite the Forrester and Logan families than by marrying Steffy right here? Brooke and Steffy are moved by Rick's declaration, but Ridge thinks it's bull! As Rick and Steffy walk around the beach, hugging and kissing, Ridge asks Brooke to see what a slap in the face this is. Brooke sees it as Rick's way of extending an olive branch, but Ridge thinks Rick is manipulating them again, just like he did with Thomas. Brooke reminds him that Thomas nearly killed Rick, but she believed in him when Ridge insisted that he never meant to hurt anyone. Now she wants Ridge to give Rick the same benefit of the doubt. She thinks having the wedding here will allow them to heal and move on.

Steffy agrees with Rick's plans for a wedding site.
When Rick and Steffy return from their romp on the beach, Brooke takes Steffy for a walk to show her something special. Alone with Ridge, Rick states that they have a lot in common, and now they'll share this special place. Ridge sees Rick's choice to get married here as the latest attempt to destroy and desecrate everything Ridge holds dear and wants to know when it will stop. Rick denies the charge and insists that he understands the importance of this spot to their family. In fact, he hopes that his and Steffy's kids might get married there some day. Seeing Ridge fume at the thought of children coming from a Rick/Steffy union, Rick calls him "Grandpa" and demands Ridge's support on this. After all, this is what Steffy wants, and there's also Thomas to consider. He asks if Thomas is getting the help he needs. Ridge blames Rick for driving Thomas to do what he did, but Rick isn't about to be blamed and reminds Ridge of their arrangement to keep Thomas out of jail. He reminds Ridge that his vintage car was supposed to be replaced. "You'll get your car," Ridge states. Rick counters that Ridge's support was part of the deal, too, and that means Ridge should consent to their getting married here. Ridge doesn't think Steffy even wants to get married here, but Rick is sure he can change her mind. Rick then states that he'll skip the cheesy "heart in the sand" thing, but he definitely wants the bed on the beach like Ridge had for Brooke. Ridge refuses to give his blessing to any wedding, but Rick says that he expects Ridge to walk Steffy down the aisle. "You're such a bastard!" Ridge seethes. Rick doesn't respond since he sees the ladies returning. Steffy tells Rick he was right about this place. She definitely wants to get married here and bring their families together.

Rick asks Steffy to come with him so they can choose the spot where they'll stand. Alone with Brooke, Ridge tells her that this isn't about a wedding. It's all about Rick's vendetta against him, and Rick even admitted it to him. Brooke thinks he must have misunderstood, but Ridge thinks Rick was quite clear, and that's why he refuses to let this wedding happen! He takes Brooke in his arms and hugs her as he stares down the beach at Rick and Steffy kissing. Rick looks away from Steffy and glares back at Ridge.

Taylor congratulates Stephanie.
Stephanie returns to her table at Il Giardino, where Taylor congratulates her on telling Eric and Donna off. Stephanie agrees that it felt good to put those two in their place, although she admits that she told a little white lie by telling Eric that she had a new job lined up. Taylor suggests that Stephanie talk to Nick and tell him that she changed her mind about his job offer. Stephanie wonders if the offer is still open. Taylor thinks there's only way to find out.

Stephanie tells Nick that she reconsidered his offer.
At Jackie M, Jackie enters her office and finds Nick waiting for her. He tells her that they still have cash flow problems, despite Fabrice Dufoe agreeing to work with them. Jackie suggests they get a short term loan until Dufoe is on board, but that doesn't thrill Nick very much. Jackie tells Nick that she asked Owen to handle the Dufoe account. Nick is wary of the newbie handling such a big account, but Jackie assures him that Owen won't let her down. Nick asks why she has such faith in Owen. Jackie insists that Owen has the talent to make sure that Fabrice is well taken care of. She admits she's grateful to Stephanie for convincing Dufoe to work with them, but she's also glad Stephanie turned down Nick's job offer, as she just can't see herself working with Stephanie on a daily basis. Right on cue, Stephanie and Taylor arrive. Stephanie tells Nick that she reconsidered his offer, but Nick tells her that he took the offer off the table when she told him to go to hell. Taylor tells Nick that he needs Stephanie, but he disagrees. Stephanie thinks he knows Taylor is right, but she wonders if he's secure enough to admit it. Jackie brags that they're not desperate anymore, but Taylor thinks that's only because Stephanie put in a call to Fabrice on Jackie M's behalf. Nick asks why Stephanie did that; the only reason he can think of is that it benefited her in some way. Since she certainly doesn't need the money, he can only assume that she wants to get back at Eric for giving her the boot.

Nick and Jackie are stunned by Stephanie's demands.
Stephanie admits that besting Forrester Creations has a certain appeal. Enough that she'd like to see Eric homeless and living in a cardboard box? Nick wonders. Stephanie quips that she's been there and it's not much fun, and she then says on a more serious note that she's not driven by revenge. However, she thinks the way she was fired was unjust, and she'd like to see that injustice rectified. Nick asks if Donna's comments in EYE ON FASHION are part of that. Taylor chimes in that Stephanie is not looking to work here to retaliate against Eric, and she thinks Jackie M would be lucky to have a woman of Stephanie's caliber. Nick still doesn't see why they need Stephanie. Stephanie recalls the days when Sally worked in this office, running this company. She thinks that continuing Sally's work and saving this company from bankruptcy stokes a fire in her. Taylor leaves Jackie, Nick and Stephanie to talk this out. Jackie protests that she's not Sally. All she wants is to compete with Forrester on a level playing field. Nick tells his mother that they can't kid themselves. They need what Stephanie has to offer. Jackie asks Stephanie what she wants in return for coming over to Jackie M. Stephanie says that she jotted down a small list on the way over and hands the list over to Nick and Jackie. After they look at the list of demands, Jackie utters, "You can't be serious." Stephanie smiles and responds, "Oh, I am. But are you? Are you serious about saving this company?"
