Nick tries to explain to Brooke.
Nick tells Brooke he's sorry, but she reminds him that she's not the one he hurt. He tries to explain that he never intended to have sex with Katie when they went to Catalina, but Brooke points out that his intentions don't matter as much as what actually happened. Nick wants to find a way to resolve this. Brooke tells him there is a way, and it's called a divorce. Nick doesn't want to consider that as an option. He tells Brooke that he hopes to save his marriage so that he, Bridget and Katie can raise the baby together, but Brooke scoffs at that notion. Brooke asks Nick if one of his options is raising the baby with Katie. Nick admits that he hopes Katie is part of the baby's life, but this is a high-risk pregnancy, and they don't know what's going to happen to Katie. He thinks that's why Katie wants this baby, since she feels like this is her last chance. Brooke sighs that the whole situation is complicated. Nick tells Brooke that he has to find Bridget, but he asks her to please go easy on Katie as none of this is her fault.

Rick worries when Taylor is insecure about Jack.
At the Bel Air mansion, a frustrated Taylor joins Rick after finally getting a fussy Jack to bed. She fears she's ineffective as Jack's mother because of her inability to comfort him. Rick tries to assure her that this is just a phase, but Taylor points out that it's been a phase for all of Jack's life. The worst part for her is that Jack is only like this with her, while he doesn't fuss at all for Nick, Bridget or Brooke. Rick tells her to stop stressing over this and offers to take care of Jack for tonight, but Taylor insists that she's Jack's mother and should be able to take care of him. Just as Taylor confides her fear that she's the reason Jack is upset, Jack starts bawling again. Hearing her son crying, Taylor falls apart. Rick tells her to stay here while he goes to tend to Jack. When Rick returns soon after, Taylor is amazed that he quieted Jack down so quickly. Rick tells her not to make too much out of this, but Taylor thinks she hasn't been making enough of it, since she's been denying that she has a problem comforting her own son. Rick suggests that they take the baby to a pediatrician, but Taylor says that she's done that and there is nothing wrong with Jack. She fears that she's the one who has something wrong, and she suggests that Jack would tell them that if he could talk. She's frightened that she can't connect to her own son. Rick thinks they have to talk about this, but Taylor refuses. Rick suggests that she doesn't seem to be able to find any joy in being a mother and asks her to admit that she's not feeling that sense of awe over her child.

Brooke tells Rick what's going on with his sister.
Before Taylor can answer, the doorbell rings. Rick opens the door and finds his mother there. Brooke tells Rick that something happened with Bridget, and she fears that Bridget is going to need a lot of support from all of them. Rick and Taylor both ask Brooke what's going on. Brooke asks them if Jack is OK. Confused, Taylor and Rick ask what Jack has to do with this. Brooke explains that this affects Jack, too, and tells them that Nick got Katie pregnant. After Brooke explains the whole story of how it happened, Rick is clearly upset and asks his mom to make sure Bridget knows that he's there for her if she needs him. Brooke points out that she's worried that this might affect Jack, who looks up to Bridget as a mother figure. She fears that Jack's life will be disrupted if Nick and Bridget's marriage falls apart and suggests that they give Jack all the reassurance that they can offer. Taylor angrily points out that Jack gets plenty of attention here. Brooke asks Taylor why she's being defensive. Taylor insists that she isn't being defensive, but Brooke disagrees. Before Taylor can answer, Jack starts crying again, so Taylor goes off to take care of her son.

Taylor insists that Jack is fine.
While Taylor is gone, Brooke asks Rick what's going on. Rick tells her that they are all just stressed out over the news that Nick got Katie pregnant, but Brooke thinks there is more to it and asks if Taylor has been drinking again. Rick says that Taylor is sober, so Brooke wonders what else might be going on and asks if there are any problems with Jack. Rick reluctantly confesses that he and Taylor are having problems with the baby, but they have it under control. Taylor comes back cradling Jack. Brooke asks if everything is OK with the baby. Taylor says that Jack is just being a bit fussy tonight. Brooke asks if she can hold Jack, but Taylor suggests that Jack just needs a bottle and asks Brooke if they can table any discussions about Bridget until tomorrow. Rick thinks that's a good idea and show his mother out, but then Jack starts crying again. Brooke tells Taylor that Rick alluded to some kind of problem with Jack. Taylor insists that Jack is fine and bids Brooke good night. Brooke reluctantly leaves, leaving Rick and Taylor to try to comfort the crying baby.

Katie tries to talk to Bridget.
Back at Brooke's house, Bridget offers to leave, but Katie thinks they need to talk about her situation. Bridget wants no part of helping Katie alleviate her guilt, especially since Katie has already taken all the love and loyalty she feels. Katie tells Bridget that she's absolutely justified in what she's feeling, but Bridget doesn't think Katie has a clue about how she feels after sleeping with Nick. She asks Katie if she ever even considered how wary she was that Nick might be unfaithful and rants, "You're not half the woman I thought you were." she feels like she doesn't even know Katie. Katie admits she made a mistake and asks what she can do to make things right, but Bridget counters that some mistakes just can't be fixed once the damage is done. Katie asks Bridget to blame her and not Nick, but Bridget thinks that's quite self-serving of Katie to take all the blame and beg for Nick to be forgiven. Katie insists that Nick doesn't love her and tells Bridget that there's a chance she might not survive this pregnancy, so she had hoped that Bridget would help raise the baby if anything happened to her. Bridget can't believe that Katie is being so hypocritical to ask that of her. She recalls how judgemental Katie was of Brooke when she first came back to L.A., but now Katie is doing the same thing herself. Katie tells Bridget that she's wrong, but Bridget insists that she's through with being taken advantage of by both Nick and Katie. "It will never, ever happen again," vows Bridget.

Bridget takes off her ring and tells Nick they're done.
Katie begs Bridget not to give up on her marriage. Before Bridget can answer, Nick shows up and asks if they can talk about this, but Bridget doesn't see anything to talk about. Nick pleads for Bridget not to let this destroy their marriage, but Bridget says that it will never work, since just touching him will make her think about him having sex with Katie. She feels like Nick betrayed her trust because their relationship is all a lie. Taking off her wedding ring, she tells Nick that she was the best thing to ever happen to him, but that obviously wasn't enough. "Here, you want him? Take him," she fumes as she gives Katie her wedding ring. Nick asks her not to do this, but Bridget tells him that first he let her down for her mother and now he's letting her down for her aunt. Nick and Katie ask her to listen to reason, but Bridget is sick of hearing about their betrayal and infidelity. She tells Nick that she'll always love him, but she's leaving. Nick tries to stop her, but Bridget turns toward the door. She stops in the doorway and sneers to Nick, "You don't need me." Standing in the doorway, she tells Nick and Katie that she's finally free of them both and walks out.
