Katie tells Brooke that she made love to Nick.
Katie talks on the phone to Nick, who tells her that he's taking Bridget out on the Shady Marlin tonight to tell her about the baby. Katie hopes he is ready and wishes him luck. As Katie hangs up the phone, Brooke arrives and asks Katie why she wanted to see her. Katie tells her big sister that she has something to tell her, and she hopes Brooke can understand and forgive her. "For what?" Brooke asks. Katie assures Brooke that she knows that she would not be here were it not for Bridget. Brooke asks Katie if this has to do with the medical exam she just took. When Katie says it does in a way, Brooke assumes it's a problem with Katie's heart, but Katie says that's not quite it. Brooke urges her sister to open up to her and tell her what's going on. Katie prefaces her declaration with a statement that it was a crazy situation when Nick took her to Catalina, and she admits in hindsight that she probably was not thinking clearly. She felt so at peace, and then Nick took her in his arms and they got caught up in the moment. She didn't plan for it to happen, but... Sensing where this is going, Brooke tells Katie, "Don't say it," but Katie admits that she and Nick made love.

Brooke is horrified by Katie's actions.
Brooke is furious that Katie could do this, especially knowing about Bridget's history. Katie assures Brooke that she and Nick only made love that one time and are not having an affair. "Spare me the justifications. I know it all too well," Brooke admonishes. Katie assures Brooke that Nick is totally committed to Bridget, and she thinks the relationship Nick and Bridget have now is secure enough that they can deal with this. Brooke asks Katie if this means she plans on telling Bridget the truth. Katie informs her that Nick is telling Bridget tonight, right now. Brooke worries about what this means to her daughter. Katie then adds that something else unexpectedly happened, and it's important that Bridget knows about it. Brooke realizes that Katie is pregnant with Nick's child and slaps her!

Bridget thanks Nick for helping her escape from her problems.
Bridget and Nick settle in on the Marlin. Bridget asks her captain if he's planning to whisk her away to someplace new, since she needs to get her mind off what Aunt Pam (who isn't really her aunt) did to Eric. She laments that the whole tragedy could have been avoided, although she admits that it's easy to say that in hindsight. Nick suggests that they all have to move forward, but Bridget laments that her dad can't do that since he's right where Pam put him, in a coma that he may not come back from. Nick asks if she's up for some night fishing. Bridget says that she is, although she wishes her dad could be there with them. She reminds Nick how her dad had his doubts about their remarrying. Nick concedes that their past doesn't really inspire confidence, but Bridget thinks they are in a much stronger place now where they can get through anything. Nick agrees that marriage is about being partners and acting like a team. "That's exactly what we are," Bridget affirms.

Nick gets serious on Bridget.
Nick catches Bridget looking around the boat and asks what she's thinking about. She tells him that she was thinking about making the boat more passenger friendly, with room enough for four people. Nick tells her that he'll be happy as long as they're together and kisses her. Bridget thanks him for bringing her out on the boat, since it's just the kind of escape she needed. Nick agrees that escape is good, but he reminds her that they have to get back to reality eventually. Bridget admits that she knows that, but she'd love to stay here forever even though she knows she can't. She supposes that she's such a control freak that she wants everything to be just so, but she thinks she's getting better and is open to new possibilities. Nick asks what she means, so she answers that she never thought the two of them would get a second chance. Yet here they are. Nick agrees that life can throw them some curve balls, but they have to just brush themselves off, get up and move on. Bridget detects a change in her husband's mood and asks Nick why he is suddenly getting so serious on her.

Ridge meets the coma specialist Stephanie brought in.
Stephanie and Ridge sit by Eric's bedside. They both still find it hard to believe that Pam could do this to Eric and consider the possibility that Eric might not come back to them. Ridge thinks they have to prepare themselves for that possibility, but Stephanie doesn't think she can do it, and she doesn't think Donna can, either. She admits that she underestimated just how committed and devoted to Eric Donna really is. Stephanie then blames herself for not seeing the signs that Pam was off her meds, but Ridge reminds her that they all missed those signs. Dr. Seifert, the European coma specialist that Stephanie brought in, comes in. When he sees Stephanie with Ridge, he offers to come back later, but Stephanie asks him to wait and introduces him to Ridge. Ridge recalls seeing the doctor's name in an article he read about cutting edge coma treatments and is surprised that the doctor is consulting on Eric's case, since he thought Dr. Seifert works mostly on comas caused by traumatic brain injuries. The doctor tells Ridge that he's correct, but Stephanie came to him about Eric and would not take no for an answer. Surprised that his mother would go to such lengths, Ridge asks if Donna knows about this. Donna doesn't know, Stephanie answers.

Owen reassures Donna one more time.
At the Forrester mansion, Owen tells Donna that all charges against him have been officially dropped, although Lt. Baker wasn't too happy about his "borrowing" a police car and had to be convinced to let it slide. (Of course, Donna already knows this since she was the one who told Owen that he was free on last Friday's show.) Donna thanks Owen again for coming to her rescue. Owen tells her to go relax in the hot tub while he makes her something to eat. After Donna comes out of the tub, she spots a photo of her and Eric in their room and recalls him telling her to go on with her life once he's gone. Owen comes in with some tea and senses that she's overwhelmed. He tells her that she doesn't have to be afraid anymore. Donna hopes they catch Pam and lock her away, even though she knows Eric would be much more generous than her and would try to get Pam some help. Owen tells her that she's a lot better than she thinks she is.

Donna lets Owen tuck her in.
Tension flares between Donna and Owen. Owen tries to back away and tells Donna to get some rest while he goes to make sure everything's locked up downstairs. As he tucks Donna in, she wonders if she should call Eric, but Owen assures her that Eric is in good hands and tells her to lie down and close her eyes. As Owen turns off the lights, Donna puts her head down, but Owen sits over her and watches her, flashing back to their kiss up at Big Bear. Donna opens her eyes and sees Owen there. He tells her that he'll be right downstairs if she needs anything and starts to leave, but he pauses in the doorway and comes back in. Donna sits up as Owen sits down on the bed next to her and strokes her face, and they passionately kiss.

Stephanie gets her miracle when Eric wakes up.
Alone with Eric, Stephanie prays for a miracle, as she's afraid that she never prepared herself for the possibility of going on without him. "Don't leave. I'll never forgive you if you do," she pleads, confessing that she doesn't know how to say goodbye. Eric's eyelids start to flutter. Stephanie sees this and calls out to Eric, who whispers Donna's name. "No, it's me," Stephanie tells him. As Eric's vision slowly comes into focus, he recognizes Stephanie and says her name. Beaming with joy, Stephanie tells him that everything is going to be all right and gives him a loving embrace.
