Marcus tells Owen to stay away from Donna.
At the hospital, Steffy makes Marcus feel better with some kisses, but they are interrupted when Owen pops in. Seeing Marcus and Steffy kissing, Owen apologizes for interrupting. Marcus and Steffy pull away from the kiss and greet Owen, who asks Marcus what happened to him. Marcus recounts how he got bit by a cobra that was inside a delivery meant for Donna. Stunned, Owen wonders how the snake got in the crate. Steffy explains that the shipment was from India and assumes that the snake slithered inside as part of some weird freak accident. Owen notes that Marcus said the shipment was addressed to Donna and gets concerned about her. Marcus angrily tells Owen not to worry about Donna, who is fine and is busy trying to save her marriage. Owen gets that Marcus is being protective of his mother, but he insists that he still cares about Donna and just wants to be there if she needs him again.

Steffy reminds Marcus that Owen saved Donna's life.
After Owen leaves, Marcus complains to Steffy about Owen and his obsession with Donna. He still has a bad vibe about Mr. Knight. Steffy reminds him that Owen saved Donna's life. Marcus admits that he was willing to cut Owen some slack after that, but he's not feeling as generous now that Owen is pursuing Donna again with no respect for Donna's desire to save her marriage. He hopes Owen takes the hint and stays away from Donna, because he feels that Owen is "bad news." Steffy tells Marcus that she should get going since visiting hours are over; Marcus tells her to forget the rules, since he has special instructions from his doctor on how a little loving will help him heal faster. Not wanting to hinder his recovery, Steffy decides to stay. She kisses him and lies down on the bed next to him.

Stephanie refuses to believe Donna's accusations about Pam.
In the hall, Donna continues to plead with Stephanie to help her get through to Pam, who Donna feels is dangerous. Stephanie insists that Pam has had other times when she has gone off her meds, yet she's never seen Pam do anything dangerous during those episodes. So she thinks Donna is off base if she thinks Pam was the one who hurt Marcus. Donna insists that Pam is crazy, but Stephanie counters that her sister is just obsessive-compulsive. Donna disagrees, arguing that Pam is acting out of blind loyalty to her big sister, but Stephanie doesn't see how Pam could have engineered the snake attack and suggests that they wait to hear from the authorities. Donna understands that Stephanie wants to be a good sister to Pam, but she honestly feels like Pam snapped and is acting up on Stephanie's behalf to ensure that Eric and Stephanie reunite. Stephanie appreciates Donna's concern, but she contends that she will reunite with Eric on her own, without help with Pam, since she truly believes that she and Eric are meant to be together. More importantly, she refuses to condemn her sister until someone can prove that Pam is guilty. Stephanie then storms off, leaving a panicked Donna alone in the hospital.

Taylor tells Brooke that she and Rick are getting married.
At Brooke's house, Brooke tells Beth about Katie's miscarriage. Beth praises Brooke for being such an amazing and generous sister by letting Katie take Jack home last night. The doorbell rings and Brooke finds Taylor at the door. Beth goes on her nightly walk to give Brooke and Taylor a chance to chat. Brooke asks Taylor what brings her by. Taylor tells Brooke that she and Rick are getting married at Il Giardino next week in a small, intimate ceremony. Since she knows how much it would mean for Rick to have his mother there, Taylor hopes Brooke will attend. When Brooke hesitates, Taylor says that she knows Brooke doesn't approve. She and Rick don't want anyone at the wedding that doesn't support them, so it's Brooke's choice as to whether or not to attend. However, she wants Brooke to know that Rick would like her there. Brooke says that she'll talk to Rick about it.

Brooke tells Taylor about Katie's miscarriage.
Taylor asks if she can see Jack, so Brooke tells her about the miscarriage and explains that she let Katie and Nick take Jack home for the night. Taylor offers her professional services if Katie needs them. Brooke thanks her, pointing out how being around Jack gave Katie something to live for after losing the baby. Taylor admits that it seems odd that Katie would want to be around Jack after losing her own child. Brooke agrees, although she notes that Ridge thought she was making too much of it. Taylor guesses that spending time with Jack might help Katie heal emotionally. Brooke concurs, especially since Katie only has Jack for one night and Jack will be back here in the morning.

Eric learns about Marcus being hospitalized.
Eric sits in his living room playing the piano, remembering various happy times he spent with Donna. Shortly after, a distressed Donna arrives to tell him about her horrible day. Eric asks her what happened. Donna asks him to please hold her, so he does, assuring her that everything will be OK. Feeling safe in his arms, Donna tells Eric about Marcus's injury. "I could've lost my son today," she weeps as she tells him about how they had to rush Marcus to the hospital to save his life after the snake bite. Donna is about to tell him one more thing about Marcus's accident when she gets a call on her cell phone from Brooke telling her that their mother was hit by a car. Brooke tells Donna to come to the house, so Donna frantically says she'll be right there. After telling Eric that Beth was hit by a car, Donna bolts out and rushes to Brooke's house.

Donna and Brooke worry about their mother.
When Donna arrives, she finds Brooke cleaning their mother's wounds up. When Donna asks what happened, Beth explains how a car came racing at her out of nowhere when she was out for her nightly walk. She dived into the bushes to avoid getting run down, but the car still clipped her in the leg. She admits she was scared, since it seemed like the driver was trying to run her down. Brooke and Donna both have lots of questions for their mom and want to call the police, but Beth doesn't think they enough solid information to report. Brooke at least wants her mom to get checked out at the hospital. Donna offers to take her, but Brooke says she'll do it and instructs Donna to stay here and wait for Hope and R.J. to be dropped off.

Owen warns Donna to be careful.
Once Brooke and Beth leave, Donna presumes that Pam tried to run her mom down and curses Pam for what she did to Marcus and Beth. Owen shows up to check on her after hearing from Marcus about the snake in the package addressed to her. Donna tells him about what happened to Beth and confides her suspicions that what happened to Marcus and Beth weren't accidents. Owen agrees and asks if she's thinks Pam is behind the "accidents." Donna confirms that she thinks Pam is the culprit. Owen doesn't want to leave Donna alone with Pam on the loose, but Donna tells him that he has to leave before her niece and nephew get home. Owen is reluctant to leave, but Donna tells him that no one can see them together while she's fighting for her marriage. Owen doesn't like it, but he agrees to leave.

Pam sneaks up on Donna.
But after Owen leaves, Pam sneaks into the house through the terrace doors and comes up behind Donna. Donna is shocked to suddenly see Pam there. "I've been watching you, Goldilocks," Pam jeers, "and if you don't stay away from your honey bear, I'm going to put you into hibernation -- permanently."
