Nick tries to talk Katie into going to the memorial.
Nick comes by the hospital with a dress for Katie to wear to the memorial, but she tells him she's not going. Nick asks why not, but Katie tells him not to bother, since Bridget already tried lecturing her this morning. Nick says that it won't matter to him if she doesn't go, but he thinks that she, on the other hand, will regret it one day when she realizes that she missed her brother's only memorial. Katie asks if she can see the room where Storm was shot, so Nick helps her make her way over.

Katie has a fantasy confrontation with Storm.
When they arrive at the room, Katie is relieved that no one is there. Noting the fresh paint in the room, she sits down on the bed and asks Nick if she can have a moment alone. Nick waits outside as Katie sits there and reflects. "I would have been all right with dying," she tells herself. Katie then imagines that Storm is there in the room, writing his final note to her. She tells "Storm" that she's already read it and pleads with "him" to let her go, but he insists that her life is more important than his. Katie disagrees, but Storm asks how she knows she's right. "Life doesn't work that way," Katie laments. Storm reflects that that police would be coming soon, so he doesn't have much time. Katie tells him that it's not his fault, but he won't let her take responsibility for his life. "Live for me," he states, but Katie can't do something that monstrous. She pleads that she doesn't want to be saved and refuses to be Storm's "walking gave," but Storm holds firm that she's the youngest, so their hopes live on in her. Katie protests, but Storm tells her that she doesn't want to die. As Storm reaches for the gun, Katie cries out his name. Back in reality, Nick comes in and tells her it's time to go. Katie finally agrees to attend the service.

Storm's memorial service is about to begin.
At the Forrester mansion, a large photo of Storm is displayed with the box with his ashes. Brooke, Donna and Stephen discuss burying the ashes somewhere in L.A. so Storm can still be close to his sisters. Reverend Healy from the church comes in and says she's sorry that they're not having the service at the church. Brooke reminds the reverend that she was there was when their regular pastor said Storm didn't deserve a funeral. He didn't say that, Reverend Healy clarifies, pointing out that many clergy wrestle with the question of suicide. Brooke, however, says that it's not a question for their family, which is why they want to respect his memory hear. Reverend Healy offers to stay. Stephen wonders if they should ask the Reverend to talk to Katie, but Donna doesn't think it will do any good.

The mysterious young man shows up at the mansion.
The mysterious young man who booked a non-stop flight to L.A. in the last episode arrives at the mansion, still eyeing the newspaper announcement of Eric and Donna's wedding. He enters the house and sees one of the programs (which lists Storm's date of birth as September or November 13, 1964, even though that's impossible given how old his younger sister Brooke has to be). Eric approaches the young man, assuming= he's one of Storm's friends, and introduces himself. Donna comes over and tells the young man that the service is private. The man tells her he's sorry for her loss. Assuming he's part of the catering team, Donna sends him to the kitchen.

Thorne, Felicia and Ridge trade barbs about Donna.
In the kitchen, the young man somehow finds a catering uniform to wear and starts tending to the room. Out on the terrace, Felicia snipes to Ridge and Thorne that it's wrong for them to let Donna fill their mother's shoes. Ridge tells his sister to accept the marriage now that it's done, but Felicia thinks Donna shouldn't live in their mother's home. The trio doesn't realize that the young man is listening in on their conversation. Donna comes up and asks him to clean up the glasses so they can start. She's about to go out to the terrace to see who's out there when the young man stops her. Seeing her step-kids on the terrace. Donna realizes that they must have been talking about her and sends the young man out to tell them. The young man tells the trio that Mrs. Forrester is ready. Felicia says it's not his fault, but no one here will know who he's talking about.

Rick, Bridget and Ashley take their seats.
Everyone takes their seats. Along with the Logans, Eric and his kids by Stephanie, Bridget, Rick and Ashley are also there. Ashley is the first to speak, although she's not quite sure why she was asked to speak here today. She admits she didn't know Storm well, but she felt like he was trying to show her what kind of man he was in his final hours. She just wishes Storm didn't feel like he had to prove himself to her, since doing that led to his end. She feels like one of many people that probably think they let Storm down. Just then, Katie and Nick slip into the room and listen as Ashley hopes that Storm, wherever he is, has found peace.

Stephen talks about his son.
Stephen speaks next, thanking everyone for being there. He admits it may not really be his place to do that; he was Storm's dad, but he was never really head of the family. He left his family and allowed Storm to raise them, but then he got greedy and wanted to be part of his children's life again. That started Storm unraveling, so he can't help but feel responsible for what happened to his son. He then confesses that he knows many people there today think his son was disturbed, but he asks them to consider if they would end their own lives to save someone they feel close to. "Ask yourself that, and then tell me if you feel superior," he advises.

Brooke and Donna share their feelings about their brother.
Next, Brooke gets up. She frets that losing her brother is so hard, because the last words she said to him were in anger. Even so, she's sure Storm forgives her, since that's what he did. But at the same time, she knows some here don't think Storm is worth grieving over because of the things that he did and asks Reverend Healy if she thinks Storm is in heaven. The Reverend admits she didn't know Storm, but she's been told his last act was not of hopelessness, but of hope. Donna joins Brooke and sobs that the Reverend is right. She praises Storm as someone who who has brave and unselfish enough to give up his own life so their sister Katie could live, without any despair or regret. She knows Storm would have done the same thing for her or Brooke, which is why she was grateful for the love he showed her and her sisters throughout their lives. She thanks Storm for making her believe in herself. Brooke says she feels the same way, and Donna thinks Katie would agree if she was there. Just then, Katie gets up and says she'd like to speak for herself. Brooke and Donna are glad to see their sister, but they tell her not overexert herself. Katie tells everyone to please sit down, since the service isn't over yet. She has something to say, and she wants everyone there to hear it!
