Ridge holds back on voicing his opinion of Storm.
Ridge lies in bed watching Brooke as she sleeps. When Brooke wakes up, she sees him watching over her and wishes they had more time in bed, but she still has to make plans for Storm's memorial. After all, even though she knows Ridge disagrees, she feels that her brother was the backbone of their family and deserves to be remembered that way. After the icy reception he got last time when voicing his feelings about Storm, Ridge admits he had issues with the man, but he refuses to speak ill of the dead. Brooke concedes that her brother wasn't perfect, even though her whole family thought he was. She idolized Storm for years because of that belief, but then she saw the worst of her brother in the last few minutes of his life.

Brooke confides about a memory that sticks in her head.
Brooke starts to wonder if her thinking of Storm as some kind of monster in those final days pushed him over the edge. Ridge thinks that Storm was desperate over the fact that he was going to jail, but was also faced with the prospect of his sister dying. So no matter how they look at it, Storm saved Katie. But now Katie hates Storm for that, Brooke laments. Ridge doesn't think that's true. Maybe not, Brooke supposes, but she has never seen Katie so angry as she is over what Storm did. She knows Katie lost a brother, but so did she, and she was also the one who heard the gunshot and found Storm dead. She can't get that horrifying image out of her head, she sobs. Ridge hugs her to comfort her.

Eric gives Donna a suggestion.
At the Forrester mansion, newlyweds Eric and Donna kiss. Donna tells Eric how good it feels to be his wife, although she knows there might be some tension at the office at first. Eric insists that his kids will treat her respect, both here and at Forrester. Donna tells Eric that she doesn't want to be in the way, but she wants to contribute to the company, even if she isn't getting in on the ground floor of his empire like Stephanie did. Eric tells her that both he and the company have changed from the time when he and Stephanie built the business, and he wonders if those changes explain why Stephanie has pulled away since the wedding. Donna asks what he means, so Eric explains that Stephanie hasn't returned any of their kids' calls, and they don't even know where she spent the night. Donna suggests that he look for his ex-wife, but Eric doesn't want to spend his first day as Donna's husband doing that. Donna doesn't think it will be an issue, as she's going to spend the day finding a place to hold Storm's memorial. Eric suggests that she hold it here. Donna asks if his kids will be OK with that, but Eric tells her that this is her home now. Donna thanks him for being such a good husband.

Donna discusses the memorial with her father.
As Eric leaves, Stephen arrives to see Donna. Stephen has a bunch of mementos of Storm's life - photos, a water polo trophy and Storm's diplomas gathered and remarks that Storm didn't have much of a legacy other than his sisters. Donna suggests they focus on that and display the family photos Storm had. Donna offers to arrange for a car for her mother once she arrives, but Stephen tells her that Beth is still too traumatized over what happened to come. Donna offers to postpone, but Stephen tells her that Beth insisted that they go ahead with their plans, since the family needs closure. Donna feels funny about going ahead without her mom or Katie and asks her dad if he thinks they should postpone until they could be there. Stephen responds that he would if it was up to him. Donna, however, has fears about what Katie would say and insists that they go ahead with their plans to have the memorial tomorrow. Tomorrow is supposed to be a celebration of Storm's life, she asserts, and she isn't even sure she wants Katie there given how Katie has felt lately about Storm.

Katie is surprised that Stephanie is still there.
Katie wakes up in her hospital bed and discovers that Stephanie spent the night there. She tells Stephanie that she doesn't need to be watched. Stephanie says she thought someone should keep an eye on Katie, plus she forgot to make a hotel reservation. She thinks it's horrible to wake up and find your life turned upside down beyond repair. Katie thinks Stephanie is comparing her own divorce to Storm's death, but Stephanie says she didn't mean to. Stephanie tells Katie that things won't change overnight, but... Katie stops her and asks if Stephanie thinks she'll stop missing Eric in a few months. Stephanie thinks they got to the heart of Katie's problem and agrees that there are some wounds that never heal. Even so, she thinks you can learn to live with those wounds if you have people around that love you.

Stephen pays Katie a visit.
After Stephanie leaves, Stephen stops by to talk to his youngest daughter about the problems she's having. He tells Katie that they can postpone the memorial until she gets out, no matter what she told Donna last night, but Katie doesn't want to be there. Stephen regrets that Katie was so young when he left home, since it kept them from forming a relationship. Katie says it doesn't matter, since Storm is the one who was responsible for all this. Stephen points out that Storm's anger at him was part of the problem, but Katie doesn't think that changes her view of what Storm did. She explains that Storm was her hero, which is why she can't believe he would do what he did in his final moments. Stephen agrees that it hurt to lose Storm, and he thinks he would have done almost anything to save him. But he wouldn't sacrifice Katie to do it. Katie tells her dad that she'll probably be wrestling with what Storm did for the rest of her life. The Storm she idolized protected her and took care of her, which is why she has such a hard time accepting that he did something as desperate as committing suicide. Stephen says that Storm WAS desperate, like they all were, and the only thing they can do now is come together as a family. Katie tells him that she's sorry, but she can't go to the memorial. She's just too confused and angry to pay tribute to him.

Stephanie confides in Eric.
Stephanie comes into Eric's office. Eric is glad she responded to his messages, since he wanted her to know how worried the kids have been since she left the wedding yesterday. Stephanie tells him that she had her cell phone off and hopes the kids didn't report her as missing to the authorities. Eric tells her that probably would have been the children's next move. Stephanie chuckles at the lengths her kids would go to when all she wanted was a little peace and quiet. Eric asks if that's all she wanted. She said it was, since she couldn't bear to hear one more person ask "how are you doing?" "How are you doing?" Eric asks. Stephanie tells him that she's fine and suggests that he focus on his new bride, but Eric tells her that he'll always be concerned about her. Stephanie asks why he's even in the office the day after his wedding. He explains that Donna and her family are busy planning Storm's memorial for tomorrow. Speaking of the Logans, Stephanie tells Eric about her visit with Katie earlier. Eric commends Stephanie again for her classy behavior at the wedding and just wishes that their kids had followed her lead. Stephanie thinks they did the best they could. She then compliments him on making his new bride happy at very difficult time in her life, since you never know how someone will react to sudden pressure in their lives.
