Donna wonders about the mysterious young man.
At the Forrester mansion, Donna cheerfully slides down the banister to greet her new husband and show him how happy she is. She invites Eric to join her for a swim, but he wants to stop by the beach house to make sure Stephanie is settling in. Donna asks if he'll be that thoughtful when she's his ex-wife. When Eric doesn't answer, Donna tells him this is the part where he tells her that she'll never be his ex-wife. Eric asks how she'd respond to that. "I'd say, 'good, because I have no intention of ever letting my honey bear go,'" Donna laughs. They kiss, but there's a knock at the door. Eric offers to answer it on the way out and tells her that he'll see her at the office. When Eric answers, the mysterious young man who posed as a waiter is there asking for "Mrs. Forrester." Donna overhears and recognizes the young man, so she tells Eric she'll handle this and lets him get on his way.

Stephanie moves into the beach house.
At the beach house, Bridget is busy packing her things when Thorne and Felicia arrive with Stephanie's stuff. When Thorne asks where he can put his mother's "bricks," Bridget tells him to pick a spot where there's room. While Felicia moves an unsightly lamp to the bedroom, Stephanie enters, stating what a glorious morning it is out on the beach. Bridget admits that she's going to miss that ocean view. Stephanie tells Bridget she's sorry to uproot her, but Bridget says she understands, and that she and Rick are grateful that Eric let them stay as long as they did. Even so, Stephanie appreciates it, since she knows how busy Bridget is at work, and moving is always a hassle. Bridget admits that she was surprised to hear that Stephanie chose to "downsize" when she gave Eric and Donna the mansion. La Forrester explains that she didn't want to be in that big house alone, and at least this is familiar territory. Bridget agrees that it's "cozy and comfortable," just like Eric wanted.

Eric comes by to check on Stephanie.
Soon after, Eric arrives and thanks Bridget for accommodating Stephanie. Bridget thinks it will be good for her and Rick to have a bit of a change. Stephanie asks if she can return the favor, so Bridget asks if she can come back for her boxes, since she's running late to get to the hospital. Of course, Stephanie says, so Bridget gets on her way. Eric asks where Thorne and Felicia are. Stephanie tells him that they went to get something for lunch and asks Eric what brings him by. He tells her that he wanted to see if she needed anything. Stephanie thanks him, but she reminds him that they're not married anymore. She jokes that she finally sees what a shrewd businessman he is, since he got the house on the hill and she got the beach cottage. He laughs that beachfront property is worth a lot and reminds her that she chose to give him the house. Stephanie agrees and says that moving here will probably be a good thing, because she can put some distance between her and the family for a while. Eric tells her that he doesn't want to banish her from his life, but Stephanie thinks a little space never hurt. Just then, Felicia and Thorne return, and Felicia agrees with her mom; after all, why deal with Donna more than absolutely necessary?

Katie gives Nick an idea.
At the hospital, Katie is doing a jigsaw puzzle but isn't in a good mood. As she sits there over the incomplete puzzle, she flashes back to the day she responded to Nick's dare to be impulsive by kissing him. Right on cue, Nick comes in with pistachios, a Lakers Jersey with star Kobe Bryant's #24 on it and a Lakers play-off guide. As Katie looks over her gifts, Nick dons a Lakers cap that still has the price-tag on ("it's a fashion statement," he quips). Putting his cap down on the table, Nick decides to help Katie with her puzzle. Katie of course does well, but Nick struggles a bit. Nick then gets a text from Bridget saying that she's now homeless and presumes that Stephanie must have gotten the beach house in the divorce settlement (which is kind of funny, since the house was Taylor's, although it went to Ridge when Taylor "died.") and wonders where that leaves Bridget. Katie has an idea: she tells Nick that Bridget can save a ton of time and money and commuting and help him out with Jack if he lets her move in with him! Nick thinks that may be rushing things, plus he wants to consider how Jack would be impacted by having Bridget around. Katie asks him what there is to consider, since Bridget's great with Jack, who needs someone around. She adds that she plans on spending time helping with Jack, too, once she's released. Nick says he'd like that; Katie has trouble mustering up a laugh to tell him that he'll regret those words, but at least her trying to laugh gives her hope that she has a life that's worth living.

Nick and Bridget are surprised by Katie's idea.
Bridget drops by to see Katie and is glad to see Nick there. She asks if he got her text. He says he did and suggests that she's better off being out of Malibu anyway. She then looks at the puzzle and sees it's almost done, but Katie laments that they're missing one piece. As Bridget starts to talk about a condo she saw on the way over, Katie tells her that she should stay with Nick. Both Nick and Bridget seem surprised at the suggestion, but after Katie blurts out that Nick was just saying what a great idea it was, Nick tells Bridget that it doesn't seem like a bad idea and invites her to move in. Thrilled, Bridget goes to call the movers to get her stuff from the beach house and bring it over to the Marone mansion. Once Bridget is gone, Nick tells Katie that he should thank her. She tells him it's a good thing, so he should be happy. "Aye-aye, Captain!" he replies right before he leaves. Minutes later, Nick comes back, since he left his Lakers cap on the table. Picking it up, he finds the missing puzzle piece under it. "Look at that," Nick tells Katie.

Felicia and Thorne give Eric a piece of their minds.
Back at the beach house, Felicia invites her dad to stay for lunch. Stephanie suggests they go out on the deck to enjoy the sunshine, and Thorne and Felicia second the motion. The siblings join their dad outside while Stephanie goes to wash up. Thorne commends they way Stephanie is handling this difficult situation, but Felicia chimes in that it's too bad that their mom is even in this situation. Eric tells Felicia to hush, but she chimes in anyway that it blows her mind to see him give up a woman like her mom for that "person" he married. Thorne agrees. Eric asks if they're finished, but Thorne has one more thing to say. He warns that even if Donna has been on her best behavior so far, he knows from experience that she comes with a ton of baggage, and he's not talking about a little change purse.

Marcus asks Donna if she is his mother.
Back at the Forrester mansion, Donna assumes that the mysterious young man is there because he didn't get paid and offers to straighten that out, but the young man admits that he doesn't work for the caterers. Donna asks why he's here then. The young man tells her that his name is Marcus, but before he can say anything more, Donna cuts him off and says she knows who he is! She accuses him of being some nosy tabloid reporter trying to milk her brother's tragedy for a story and tells him that he should be ashamed of himself. She orders him to leave, but Marcus tells her that he's not a reporter. "Then who are you?" Donna asks. Marcus tries to explain, but Donna cuts him off again and scolds him for walking into a grieving family's home by pretending to be someone he's not. Marcus admits he was wrong to do that, but he didn't expect a funeral until he arrived and saw all the grieving people. Donna tells him that this has been hard on her family, since her brother Storm protected them, but she then stops herself, as she doesn't know why she's talking to a perfect stranger. Marcus tells her that he's not a stranger. Donna admits that something seemed familiar about him yesterday, but she can't place him. She asks if they've met. Marcus says they have, but Donna still can't figure it out. Marcus stammers that he always imagined how she'd look, and then he looked into her eyes, he... Donna cuts him off and asks what he's talking about. "Are you my mother?" Marcus asks, leaving Donna stunned!
