Stephen and Brooke worry about Katie.

At the hospital, Dr. Patrick tells Bridget that his changes in medication are not helping stop Katie's rejection of Storm's heart. Meanwhile, Katie remembers her sisters telling her about Storm's sacrifice to save her. On cue, Brooke, Donna and Stephen arrive and learn that the doctors have not been able to stop the rejection. Dr. Patrick explains that he might need to keep Katie isolated until they find the cause of the rejection. After the doctor leaves, Brooke tells Katie that Storm was cremated, so they can hold a memorial for him once Katie is released. Katie just sighs. Stephen asks Bridget if there's anything they can do. Bridget wishes there was, but she fears that Katie truly believes that what Storm did was wrong. Stephen argues that Storm gave his life for Katie, but Brooke fears that Storm might have died in vain if Katie rejects the heart. Katie remembers that Donna's wedding to Eric is tomorrow and urges Donna to go ahead with her plans, but Donna wants to wait until Katie is better so Katie can be her maid of honor. Katie tells Donna to go ahead without her, but Brooke tells Katie to stop talking that way, since they refuse to let her give up.

Eric is impressed by Stephanie's attitude.

At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie quietly signs her divorce papers, without resistance. Eric tells her that he's impressed. not only with her acceptance of his feelings for Donna, but for reaching out to the Logans. Stephanie says she couldn't do otherwise when she remembered how they almost lost Felicia. She thinks that she's finally realized that it's time to let go of him, the company and her anger, and to walk away from the pain and just accept that Donna makes him happy. Eric asks Stephanie if she'll still be coming to the wedding tomorrow. Stephanie is surprised, since she thought they'd postpone with everything going on with Katie. Eric says that Donna hasn't cancelled anything yet, but Stephanie thinks that's the last thing on Donna's mind and suggests that the best man handle the rescheduling. Eric explains that he and Donna were going for something less traditional, so there is no best man. Stephanie then presents Eric with a packet of instructions that she calls the fourth edition of the "Mrs. Eric Forrester Instruction Manual," which has everything Donna should need to run the house and make Eric happy. "It may not be my job anymore," she says, "but I'm just gonna make sure that it's done correctly." Eric thanks her.

Ridge urges his dad to rethink his wedding plans.

After Stephanie steps out, Ridge arrives and learns that Eric's marriage to Stephanie is over. Ridge suggests to Eric that he take some time to rethink his wedding plans, especially given what's going on with Katie. He admits that he watched his parents together in the hospital and hopes Eric is impressed as he is with how Stephanie has changed. He reminds Eric of all the history he shared with Stephanie and asks if Eric can really marry Donna after going through all that. Eric tells Ridge to forgo that kind of talk. His marriage to Stephanie is over. Even so, Ridge points out, that doesn't mean Eric has to marry Donna. He asks Eric to take some time to think about what he wants, especially now that Stephanie has become less controlling. Eric says that he'd like to believe that Stephanie has changed, but he won't be manipulated. Ridge believes that Eric still loves Stephanie, even when Eric insists that he loves Donna. Ridge doesn't think the love Eric has for Stephanie can compare with what he has with Donna. Eric says that marrying Donna won't change his feelings for Stephanie. "Then maybe you're marrying the wrong woman," Ridge suggests, urging his dad not to marry Donna if he isn't sure. This leaves Eric with a lot to think about. After Ridge leaves, Eric sits down by the piano and flashes back on fond memories of his life with Stephanie.

Donna checks out Stephanie's gift.

Stephanie drops by Brooke's house to drop off her instruction manual for Donna and is surprised to find Donna there. Donna says she came by to change clothes and clean up. Stephanie asks Donna if she's getting married tomorrow. Donna says she is, since Katie asked her not to postpone, and she thought having something good in their lives might give Katie a reason to hold on. Stephanie hands Donna the how-to manual. "Is it ticking?" Donna asks. "It's one of the silent ones," Stephanie explains, stating that the package has all the information Donna needs to be a good wife to Eric. Donna is surprised by Stephanie's suddenly being nice to her family and asks what the deal is. Stephanie admits that she's asked herself the same thing, but she supposed it has to do with the tragedy that befell Katie. She knows Donna might not believe this, but she is praying for Katie. Donna thanks her and says she has to get back to the hospital, so she asks Stephanie to show herself out. Stephanie says she will and tells Donna to call if she has any questions before the wedding. Donna tells her that the wedding will still be tomorrow and leaves for the hospital.

Stephanie tells Ridge that she'll be at Eric's wedding.

Stephanie is about to leave when she gets a call on her cell phone from Ridge, who tells her that Eric is kind of torn about marrying Donna. Stephanie tells him that she just spoke to Donna, who confirmed that the wedding is still on for tomorrow. She tells Ridge that she intends to be there, so she can look Eric in the eye when he takes his vows with Donna in their home in front of their family. She thinks it will be interesting to see what happens, since she's not sure Eric will be able to go through with it.

Bridget and Dr. Patrick check out Katie.

Back in the hospital, Katie starts to suffer from arrhythmia in her heart, so Bridget calls for Dr. Patrick. Dr. Patrick arrives soon after and, after checking Katie's vitals, adjusts the medication to compensate. However, he fears the arrhythmia is a sign that Katie's rejection of Storm's heart might become chronic, and that could present problems. Brooke tells Katie that she understands her feelings, but she has to accept Storm's gift. Stephen chimes in that Storm wanted this, since the biggest joy in Storm's life was caring for his sisters. "You have to see he did it out of love," Stephen stresses, but Katie says that she doesn't want Storm's heart. Rather, she wants Storm back! Katie starts to gasp for air. Dr. Patrick tells the Logans that they can't upset Katie this way, but Stephen says that he and his family aren't going anywhere! Despite Bridget's reservations, Brooke gets close to Katie and says that just like they're not going anywhere, neither is Storm! "He's right here inside you," Brooke insists.
