Pam pulls the trigger - but her action isn't what it seems.
In the alley near Insomnia, Donna cries out as Pam pulls the trigger on the gun in her hand. Right after Pam fires, she starts laughing - and Donna finds herself staring at a flag with the word "BANG" written on it hanging out of the gun. "Bang, bang, bang! Get it?" Pam laughs, explaining that she thought R.J. would love this for his upcoming cowboy birthday party. Donna, however, doesn't see the humor in Pam pointing a gun at her, even a toy one, and accuses Pam of still wanting to kill her. "Where I come from, blood is thicker than a cup of Earl Grey," Pam quips in response. Donna threatens to report Pam's nutty behavior to Eric and warns that Pam's going to be fired, but Pam is sure that Eric won't believe Donna's account of what happened tonight. Donna disagrees, declaring that "lemon bars and oatmeal cookies are only going to get you so far." Pam advises Donna to forget about Eric, but Donna stands firm that she will be Mrs. Eric Forrester. Pam counters that Eric will come to his senses soon enough, once the "hoochie coochie" that Donna is using wears off, but Donna argues that she and Eric in love. "If he doesn't come to his senses, Donna, you better, or else," warns Pam. Donna asks, "Or else what? You're gonna kill me?" Rather than answer, Pam notes that she has stuff to do at the office and rushes off.

Stephanie doesn't believe Donna's accusations.
Donna bolts for the office herself so she can tell Eric what happened. As she walks into Eric's office, she calls out for him to put "her" on the next plane to Chicago, but she's surprised to find Stephanie there instead. Stephanie asks who Donna wants to ship out of town, but Donna has no desire to talk to La Forrester and asks where Eric is. Stephanie answers that Eric is busy and asks Donna what's wrong, so Donna informs Stephanie that her crazy sister is what's wrong! Stephanie has no idea what Donna is talking about, so Donna explains how Pam pulled a gun on her in the alley and tells Stephanie to call her sister off. "Have you been drinking?" an incredulous Stephanie asks. Donna insists that she hasn't been drinking and accuses Stephanie of using Pam as her little lapdog to do her dirty work, but Stephanie asserts that she hasn't asked Pam to do anything like what Donna is describing. Donna, however, doesn't believe her. "Tell your puppy dog to stay away from me," Donna orders.

Donna sees Pam for what she really is.
Just then, Pam walks in and overhears Donna's instructions to Stephanie. "Why am I not surprised to find you here berating my sister?" Pam asks Donna. Donna informs Pam that she just ratted her out to Stephanie, who asks her sister if she threatened to kill Donna. Pam laughs off such a notion, although she admits she might have gotten a bit testy with Donna. Confident that any threats from Pam are all in Donna's head, Stephanie sweetly thanks her sister for trying to protect her. Pam argues that Stephanie needs someone in her corner fighting for her, but Stephanie insists that she'll be fine and tells Pam and Donna to learn to get along if they're going to be working here together as the "new receptionist" and "new bimbo," respectively. With that, Stephanie leaves. Donna warns Pam that even if Stephanie has blinders on, she sees Pam for what she really is. "You can threaten me all you want, but I am going to be Mrs. Eric Forrester," Donna boasts. Pam states that seeing her sister unhappy makes her unhappy. Donna brags that she knows what kind of a psycho Pam is and orders Pam out of the office. After Pam leaves, Donna tries to regain her composure, but then Pam pops back in and cries out, "Bang, bang!" A startled Donna jumps as Pam laughs, "Got ya!" from the doorway.

Brooke shares her concerns with Rick.
Brooke calls Rick to her office to talk about Bridget. After she tells Rick that she's worried about Bridget, Brooke is surprised to learn that Rick knows about Bridget's intent to reunite with Nick, and she's even more shocked to learn that he has no reservations about such a reunion. "She's a grown woman, I think she can take care of herself," Rick attests. "She's been down this road before with Nick, and she's been hurt," Brooke frets, asking Rick to talk to his sister. Rick states that he has talked to Bridget, and he can see that this is what she wants. When Brooke asks why he isn't concerned, Rick accuses her of becoming more like Stephanie every day, since she's consumed with everyone's life but her own. Brooke states that she's just worried about Bridget, but Rick thinks there's more to it. He reminds Brooke that he was a huge supporter of her relationship with Nick in the past, but that's obviously not in the cards, so he doesn't understand why she hasn't married Ridge by now. When Brooke says that Ridge is taking some time, Rick guesses that it has to do with her being at Jack's custody hearing. He warns his mother to be careful, since she's in love with two men. You really have to start thinking beyond the world of Brooke," he warns.

Rick gives his mom some advice.
Brooke insists she is thinking about Bridget, but Rick reminds her how both Taylor and Bridget had their lives devastated by her inability to commit to one man. He recalls how that nearly killed Bridget once before and refuses to let that happen again, so he tells Brooke to stay away from Nick. He asks Brooke why she can't be happy for Bridget, who might be making love to Nick as they speak. Brooke insists that Bridget is still vulnerable to Nick and is bound to be hurt, but Rick counters that his sister is just following her heart, just like Brooke taught them to. Rick warns his mother that she might lose Ridge to Ashley if she keeps up her games. Brooke is surprised by that comment, since she thought Rick was with Ashley. When Rick tells her that he isn't, Brooke is glad to hear that, since she always thought Ashley was a bit old for him. When he tells her that he cares for someone else, Brooke bets that the lucky woman is "tailor"-made for him. Getting the subject off his own love life, Rick advises his mom to let go of Nick, for her own sake as well as Bridget's. "If you don't, you'll end up alone and bitter like Stephanie," Rick warns. Brooke insists that she's committed to Ridge and is just worried that Bridget might get hurt. Then be happy for Bridget and back away from Nick, Rick advises. "Your relationship with Nick is over," he stresses.

Katie looks around the Marone mansion.
At the Marone mansion, a bored Katie starts to look around the living room. She opens up a drawer and finds a photo of Nick back when he was still a sea captain for Marone (it's actually one of the photos of Nick they used in the opening montage back in 2003). "Nice look, sailor," she muses. She keeps looking around and finds Nick's plaques and medals from when he was a captain, with the name "Dominick Payne" inscribed on them. "Pretty impressive, Marone,: she says, smiling. She finds a photo of Nick's wedding to Brooke in the park by the Marina and finds a sonogram from when Bridget was pregnant with Nicole.

Bridget tries to reassure Nick.
Meanwhile, Nick and Bridget are still kissing in the bedroom. Bridget tells him that she's waited so long to be with him like this. Nick tells himself that he needs to move on, trying to convince himself to let Bridget back into his life. Bridget senses his hesitation and asks what's wrong. Nick tells her he doesn't want anyone to be hurt, but Bridget advises that neither of them is going to be hurt. "This is what I want," she assures, telling him that she doesn't have any expectations beyond tonight. "All that matters is you and me right here and right now," she says. Bridget then turns on the stereo and puts on SOLE REASON, the song he wrote for her when he proposed to her. As the song plays - I'm guessing she must have brought a copy with her, since I can't see why Nick would keep a song he wrote for his first wife on the stereo in the bedroom he shared with wife #3 until recently - a montage of happy moments between Nick and Bridget plays. The two of them make their way to the bed and make love.

Nick wants to take things with Bridget one step at a time.
Afterwards, Nick sees the look on Bridget's face and asks what's going on. She tells him that she's just happy, since she never thought this would happen again. Seeing Nick's reaction, Bridget asks if she's scaring him. Nick chuckles that he's petrified. Bridget tells him that she knows a lot has happened to him recently, so she just wants to... Nick cuts her off and asks her to make it just about the two of them tonight. Bridget is fine with that and tells him that she knows there are no promises after tonight. When Nick suggests they take it one step at a time, Bridget agrees and snuggles with him.
