Bridget tells Nick that she wants to be with him.
Bridget anxiously waits in Nick's bedroom. When Nick comes up, he apologizes that she had to hear his conversation with her mom. Bridget says he has nothing to be sorry for, since her mother did them both wrong. Nick says that he's not defending Brooke, but he wants Bridget to remember that Brooke is still her mother, and he doesn't think Bridget should let anything jeopardize that. Bridget tells Nick that Brooke wants him waiting on the sidelines for her, but Nick says he won't wait. "Then what about us?" Bridget asks. Nick responds that he doesn't want anyone to be hurt. His marriage to Taylor just ended and his heart got beaten up by Brooke, so he's just not ready to jump into anything yet. Putting her arms around him, Bridget says she's not asking for a commitment. She just wants him to live in the now. Right now, she knows that she wants and needs to be with him, and she hopes that might happen tonight. She starts to kiss him, but when they hear Jack crying on the baby monitor, Nick goes to check on his son.

Nick is surprised by Bridget's news.
Bridget rushes to call Katie and asks if Katie can babysit Jack tonight. Katie says that she'd love to, but she's in the car on her way to her first night as a member of the Forrester bowling league. When Bridget pleads for her to come and asks her to bring her toothbrush, Katie realizes what's going on and agrees to come right over. Bridget nervously waits for Nick to return from checking on Jack. When Nick comes in and reports that Jack's asleep, Bridget informs him that Katie is on her way over to watch Jack so they won't be interrupted. When Nick asks if they need Katie, Bridget tells Nick that she wants to be in his arms tonight and make love. She reminds him how they felt when they kissed the other night and tells him she wants to feel that way again.

Katie gives Nick some advice.
Bridget starts to kiss Nick, but they're interrupted by the doorbell heralding Katie's arrival. Nick goes down to let her in and thanks her for coming over on short notice. When Katie guesses that Nick is getting reacquainted with Bridget, she remarks on how great it is. Nick tells her that he knows she's been urging Bridget to reunite with him, so he doesn't need any pep talks. Katie reminds him that once he reconnects with Bridget, there's no turning back. Nick asks what that means; Katie tells him that it means he's walking away from Brooke, which she thinks is a good thing. She just hopes he realizes how much Bridget cares for him. Nick says he cares about Bridget, too, and heads back upstairs, where he finds a negligee clad Bridget waiting for him in a room filled with lit candles. She tells him that she's glad he's back and they start to make love.

Stephanie is surprised by Pam's news.
Stephanie arrives at Forrester Creations after getting a summons from Pam, who gives her sister the good news about her new job as the Forrester receptionist. Stephanie is pleased, but she's also a bit surprised, as she didn't know Pam wanted to work. After congratulating Pam, Stephanie turns to leave, but Pam tells her to wait, since Eric has a surprise for her, too. Stephanie tells Pam that she doesn't want any more of Eric's surprises after the last one. She's accepted that Eric wants a life with Donna and doesn't see anything she can do to change his mind. Pam urges her sister not to give up and tells her to hang in there. Pam then realizes that she's going to be late to meet Donna for coffee. Stephanie is surprised that her sister is meeting Donna, but Pam explains that it was Eric's idea, and while she initially thought he must be kidding, she's actually looking forward to it now.

Eric has a surprise for Stephanie.
After Pam leaves, Eric arrives and is glad to see Stephanie in the office, since he has a surprise for her. He tells her that even though their marriage is ending, she's still an important part of this company, so he wants her to come back to work at Forrester. Stephanie initially laughs at the idea, especially since Donna is working there again, but Eric tells her that Donna is fully aware of how important she is to the company. That's why he hopes she'll agree to come back. Stephanie admits that she's surprised by the offer, although she's also intrigued. She admits that she realizes that she's been the cause of their marital problems, not Donna, since she pushed Eric away, so she's touched that he'd want her working here again with him and the kids. She thinks it might allow her to hold on to something of what they shared over the years. Eric asks if that means she accepts. It does, she says, giving him a hug to seal the deal. She just hopes he remembers that there are some things they shared that can't be duplicated by Donna or anyone else. Eric then brings in some models so Stephanie can offers comments on their fall collection. Stephanie likes the designs, although she suggests a few small changes. Eric thanks her and then dismisses the models. Alone with Eric, Stephanie puts forth that it's good to see that they still complement each other. She just wonders sometimes if they'd still be together if Donna wasn't in the picture. Eric tells her that what they shared can't be erased, but he also points out that Donna IS in the picture, and he intends to marry her.

Pam reveals some information to Donna.
Donna arrives late to meet Pam at Insomnia and faces a reprimand from Pam. Donna cuts to the chase and admits that she knows Pam sees her as the reason that Eric and Stephanie are presently apart, but she wants Pam to understand that the marriage was over before she came on the scene. She suggests that she and Pam learn to get along if they'll be working together at Forrester, unless Pam plans to go back to Chicago to care for her aging, ailing mother. Pam chuckles that Chicago is not like L.A., where it's filled with superficial money-grubbing barbie dolls. Donna retorts that she knows now that Pam is just a frustrated old biddy trying to protect her sister, but she wants to be clear that she's not afraid of Pam or her dog. Pam doesn't completely buy that, since she's seen firsthand just how much Donna fears Tiny. Pam then explains to Donna that she never married because she was diagnosed as being bipolar with occasional bouts of paranoia. She shows Donna a bottle of pills and says that she can live a normal life as long as she takes one of those pills each day. But if she doesn't take her pills, her mind goes to a deep, dark place. She threatens to stop taking her "happy pills" if Donna doesn't leave Eric alone and warns that she'll take Donna along to her deep dark place. "You'll become my obsession," she boasts.

Donna is shocked by what she sees.
Donna brags that she's not scared. Pam thanks Donna for the cup of tea and prepares to leave. As she gets up, she takes the tea bag from her cup, puts it in her mouth and chews it. Donna is shocked as Pam leaves. Later, Donna leaves Insomnia and walks to her car. As she approaches her car, she stumbles for a moment. As she starts to get out, Donna hears a noise and calls out to see who's around. Suddenly, Pam steps out of the shadows, raises her arm and points a gun st Donna! Seeing the gun pointed at her, Donna screams.
