Owen gets Marcus to introduce him to Donna.
Marcus comes up to the Forrester rooftop lounge and spots Owen chatting with a pair of bikini clad ladies. Marcus asks the ladies to excuse him and then asks Owen what he's doing there. Owen says that he's new in town and wanted to check out the scenery. Marcus reminds Owen that he's just a shipping clerk, so he can't have buddies just popping in, but Owen doesn't think get Marcus will get fired given who his mother is. Just then, Donna comes up wearing a cropped top and exercise shorts; "Wow!" Owen exclaims as he watched Donna come over to say hi to Marcus. Marcus tries to tell her that he has a shipping order that he needs her or Eric to sign, but Owen takes advantage of the chance to tell Donna that he's glad to see her with Marcus. Donna asks if he's a friend of her son's, so Owen tells her that he's the one who found her for Marcus. Donna asks if he's a private investigator. Not exactly, Owen says. Marcus gives Donna the shipping order he needs signed, pointing out that it's not with the originally wanted. Donna said they made a small change but suggests that he check with Eric. As Marcus turns to leave, Owen asks if he has his number. Marcus says he'll call him after work and walks away.

Ashley and Felicia wonder who the newcomer is.
Across the roof, Ashley and Felicia are sitting at a table having drinks and chatting. Ashley tells Felicia about her visit back home to Genoa City for Victor Newman's wedding. They see Owen with Marcus and Donna and wonder who the newcomer is. Ashley then asks Felicia if she really wants to kill their new fragrance idea. Felicia is upset that Eric wants to call the new fragrance "La Donna," even though Ashley thinks the name will go over well internationally, and asks Ashley to delay the project until she can convince Eric to cancel it. Ashley snipes that she obviously won't be getting much done today and heads back to the lab. Felicia stays behind and watches Owen with Donna.

Donna thanks Owen.
Donna thanks Owen for taking an interest in her son. Owen says he's a sucker for a happy ending, although he admits Marcus seemed worried about his being here in L.A. Donna is willing to overlook it this time. Owen says he should be going, but Donna asks him first if he's ever done anything that he he regretted doing because it made him feel lousy. Owen doesn't think they know each other well enough to answer that, but Donna says she felt that way for giving up Marcus, so she won't forget how Owen gave her a second chance with her son. "After that, you're gonna be pretty hard to forget, too," Owen smiles as a curious Felicia continues to watch.

Brooke talks more with Katie about Nick.
At the Marone mansion, Brooke returns to Katie's room after checking on Jack. She sighs that it felt like Jack knew who she was when he saw her. "Nick doesn't care if you want to see him," Katie states. Brooke tells Katie she's been thinking that she should apologize for what she said earlier, but Katie thinks it's natural that Brooke would care about what's going on as Bridget's mother. Brooke just doesn't want to see Bridget get hurt again if Nick's feelings are divided since it happened last time because of her, so she thinks she should have a word with Nick. Katie tells her to leave Nick alone, since she has already spoken to him. Brooke asks how Nick is handling the situation, since she has seen the obvious feelings between him and Katie. Katie points out that such situations are common around here, pointing out that Donna is now married to Brooke's ex. She says that Nick understood her when no one else did, and they shared something important, but those were just a few moments between them in a life that could never be. Brooke agrees and says she's sorry. She just thinks that falling in love for the first time should not hurt so much. Katie says that it may not seem like it, but she's happy, because she's been given a second chance in life and wants to feel alive all the time, without any regrets or repressed feelings. It may not make sense, but that's why she wants Bridget and Nick back together.

Katie won't stand in Nick and Bridget's way.
Brooke recalls how Katie wanted to play matchmaker between Nick and Bridget, but Katie says it's more than that, since Nick and Bridget gave her back her life and took care of her, and she thinks that made them rediscover why they fell in love. She won't stand in the way of that, since she thinks Nick and Bridget are committed to each other and deserve to be happy. Katie thinks Bridget will be great raising Jack. Brooke agrees that raising Jack will be good for Bridget, who may not be able to carry a baby to term. Katie wonders what it would be like to have a child, although she doesn't think she should try given her health situation. Brooke asks Katie not to talk that way, so Katie says she won't. They exchange "I love you"s and Brooke turns to leave. Katie tells her to take the back way down, since she thinks Nick might need some time alone with Bridget.

Nick proposes to Bridget.
Downstairs, Bridget is on the phone with an insurance company arguing about some medication for one of her patients when Nick comes in with several bouquets of flowers that he sets down in the room around Bridget. Bridget is about to hold for an answer when Nick grabs the phone and tells her to give Bridget's patient her drugs, because he'd like to ask the doctor to marry him! Bridget is stunned and asks him who he's been talking to, since these seems awfully sudden. Nick reminds her that she's been living here a while, but she says they still never discussed anything like this. An excited Nick tells her that they're lucky to have this second chance, but Bridget still feels like he's been talking to someone who put him up to this. Nick admits that he talked to Katie, who thinks they should be together, but Bridget wonders if this is the right time given that Katie is still recovering. ON top of that, she reminds Nick of how they got married the first time to prove a point, so she's willing to wait this time until it feels right. Nick asks if she's scared. Bridget tells him they've been through this, and she already told him she's grown up since their first marriage. Nick says he loved that she was still a kid back then, although he was worried about hurting or disappointing her. Bridget understands that he wanted to protect her then, but if she's scared of anything now, it's that he's trying to protect her again.

Bridget accepts the proposal.
Nick asks what he's protecting her from. She tells him that he's changed, because love comes easily to him now after loving her mom and Taylor. Nick says he loves her and asks if that's so hard to understand. Bridget says she knows he loves her and she loves him, but she can't help but wondering if Katie has something to do with this. Nick admits something has changed because of Katie. He tells Bridget that she was self-conscious when she moved back in, like she was afraid of stepping on the bones of their broken marriage. But by her taking care of Katie, he got to see how brilliant and confident she really is, since she wasn't willing to give up hope that she could save Katie. On top of that, she selflessly stepped aside when they thought Katie was dying and told him to make Katie feel loved. With all that, she proved what kind of a woman she is to him, and it's made him a better man. That's why he wants to marry her. He wants her son to hold a piece of her every day, and after she goes out every day into the world to kick ass, he wants to proudly say that she comes home to him. He then gets on one knee, takes out a ring and asks Bridget if she'll marry him. Bridget smiles and says, "All right." Nick laughs at how hard she made him work for that answer and asks again for her answer. "Yes," she says. Nick kisses her and tells her to tell him again so she repeats the word "yes" over and over as she kisses him, not realizing that Katie is watching at the top of the stairs. Katie sadly walks away as Nick and Bridget keep kissing and hugging.
