Brooke asks Nick to let her go.
At the Marone mansion, Brooke asks Nick to let her go. He says he will if she tells him that's what she wants and asks her point blank if she wants him to let go. "No, I don't" Brooke whispers, allowing herself to be pulled into a passionate kiss. But then Brooke pulls away, telling Nick that they just can't do this, Maybe it won't happen today, Nick concedes, but they both know it's going to happen eventually. Brooke runs out.

Nick and Jack get a visitor.
Later, Nick is playing with baby Jack when Bridget drops by to check on them. Bridget sees that Nick has his hands full and offers to help with the fussy baby. Nick thanks her for the help, since manning corporate takeover and sea vessels never prepared him for caring for a baby. Bridget goes to give Jack his bottle but sees that it's cold, so she asks Nick to heat it up. After Nick returns with the bottle, he sits with Bridget and Jack on the couch and noting that Bridget has Jack in a good mood now. Bridget says Jack just wanted some food, but Nick thinks his son felt Bridget's love and goodness. Bridget admits that she feels connected to both Jack and Nick, just like they're all a family.

Bridget tells Nick she is there for him.
After Bridget puts Jack down for a nap, she rejoins Nick and asks what's going on with him and her mom, since she knew her mother was stopping by. Nick explains that Brooke came by to check on Jack, but she kept going on about her life with Ridge. "I shut her up by kissing her," Nick declares. Bridget asks how that ended up; Nick tells her that Brooke insisted she was moving on with Ridge and left. Bridget says she's sorry, but Nick tells her that it's not over yet. He knows Brooke loves both him and Jack, but she's not willing to admit that yet. So until Brooke is ready to own up to her feelings, Nick intends to do what's best for his son. Bridget praises Nick for the way he's raising Jack and tells him that she's here for him and Jack. Nick puts his arm over her shoulder and thanks her for being so special.

Storm tells his sisters how lucky he is.
Storm drops by Brooke's house and finds Katie there. He greets his youngest sister and tells her how grateful he is to Stephanie for giving him his freedom. Brooke comes in the door. Storm sees that Brooke looks a bit tired and asks if she's OK. Brooke assures her big brother that she's fine and reminds him that that she and her sisters are supposed to be looking out for him now and not the other way around. Katie agrees. Storm gives in to his sisters and thanks them both again for forgiving him for what he did. "I'm a lucky man being part of this family," he says before leaving for a therapy session.

Katie hopes Donna is not with Eric.
Once Storm is gone, Katie admits to Brooke that their brother was right about Brooke looking like hell. She asks how things went with Nick. Brooke replies that she assured Nick that she was committed to marrying Ridge and raising Hope and R.J. with him, leaving out the part about Nick kissing her passionately. Katie tells Brooke that she did the right thing. Brooke, however, isn't so sure; she loves Ridge and wants to marry him, but she worries that Nick is going to need help now that he's alone with baby Jack. Katie tells her not to worry, since Nick will get lots of support and help with Jack, just not from Brooke. Brooke worries that Jack still needs his mother. Katie tells her that she can't be a mother to Jack and still have a relationship with Ridge. She's sure Nick and Jack won't be alone. Brooke hopes Katie is right and then changes the subject to Storm. Katie admits she's worried, too, even though Storm seems fine. Talking about Storm's freedom leads Brooke to wonder where Donna is, since she was supposed to be here to meet her and Katie. Katie isn't sure, but she just hopes Donna isn't with Eric. Brooke agrees, since she knows there will be hell to pay if Donna keeps fooling around with Eric, especially is Stephanie finds out.

Donna tells Eric how amazing he is.
But sure enough, Eric is in bed with Donna, who remarks that her lover is so insatiable. Eric states that he can't take all the credit and quips, "You're quite the turn-on, Miss Thing." When Eric admits that he's just getting started, Donna asks how she got to be so lucky. Eric says that he's the lucky one to have her in his life, which is why he feels almost desperate to make the most of every moment they have together. He laments that even while living with Stephanie, all he wants is to be here with Donna. This isn't what he wanted for the two of them, but it's the only way to beat Stephanie at her own game, and the best part is that Stephanie doesn't suspect that they're doing it. Donna tells him that he's amazing. Eric says he knows he's the best lover she's ever had and asks her to tell him all about it. Donna is more than eager to sing his praises, since she feels so loved when she's with him. She just wishes they didn't have to be apart. Eric agrees.

Stephanie gets news about Eric.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie confides in Ridge that she feels betrayed after counting Eric's Viagra pills and realizing that he's playing her for a fool. She vows to make both Eric and Donna realize the consequences of their actions, promising that Donna will see what it's like to lose someone she loves. Ridge reminds her that a missing pill doesn't necessarily mean that Eric is sleeping with Donna and advises her not to jump to any hasty conclusions. They're interrupted by a call from Rocky, a private investigator that Stephanie hired to follow Eric. After Rocky tells her that tracked Eric to 8211 Sycamore, Apartment 2B, Stephanie thanks him. Stephanie tells Ridge that she hired a P.I. to follow Eric, since she needed to know if he was being truthful, and she's had her suspicions confirmed. Ridge asks her if she really wants to have a painful confrontation with his dad and Donna over this. Stephanie proclaims that she knows how painful it will be for her, but that won't compare to how painful it's going to be for Donna.

Eric hides from Stephanie on the ledge.
Back at the love nest, Donna is reading Eric's palm, predicting a happy, Stephanie-free future for the two of them. She tells Eric how proud she is to be the woman he loves and admits that she'd love to shout it from the rooftops, but Eric reminds her that they can't let the word know how they really feel until they placate Stephanie. He starts to tell her that they'll be all right, but they're interrupted by Stephanie pounding on the door for them to open up. They both get flustered hearing Stephanie outside. Minutes later, Donna opens the door and tell Stephanie that Eric isn't here. Not believing Donna, Stephanie barges in and starts to look around, reminding Donna that Storm will go to jail unless Donna tells her the truth. Donna denies that Eric is here, admitting that she lost the battle for Eric when she left him, per her bargain with Stephanie. "If he's not with you," Donna states, "that's your problem, but he's not here." Stephanie isn't buying Donna's claims and insists that she will find Eric. She barges past Donna into the bathroom and looks around, but doesn't find Eric in the shower or the closet. When Donna looks toward the bathroom window, Stephanie guesses that Eric snuck out the window. Donna tells her to stop, but Stephanie insists on looking outside, only to find that the window is stuck. As Stephanie tries to get the window open, Eric stands naked on the ledge outside, holding his clothing up to protect his private parts.
