In the Forrester living room, the shadowy intruder in a ski mask warns Donna to stop trying to find out what happened to Eric. The assailant drops Donna to the floor and runs out. Meanwhile, at the police station, Owen continues to beg Marcus to believe that Donna is in danger. Marcus gets a calls from Donna, who tells him that someone just tried to kill her, and she thinks it was Stephanie. Marcus asks where she is. She tells him that she's driving up to the cabin at Big Bear. Marcus promises to find out who attacked her and hangs up. Seeing the worried look on Marcus's face, Owen guesses that someone tried to get to Donna and orders Marcus to leave now and protect his mother! Marcus calls for the guard and bolts out.

Brooke finds evidence at the Forrester mansion.
Donna next calls Brooke and tells her about the mysterious assailant. Brooke is stunned, especially when Donna says that she really thinks her attacker was Stephanie. Donna tells Brooke that she's driving up to Big Bear. Glad to hear that, Brooke says that she's pulling up to the mansion now. Donna asks Brooke not to go in and urges her to call Ridge, but Brooke promises to be careful and hangs up, leaving Donna to worry about her big sister. Brooke goes up to the house and finds a set of keys in the door. Seeing the initials "SDF" on the key-chain, Brooke realizes that these are Stephanie's keys. She calls Ridge and tells him to find his mother and get over to Eric's house immediately!

Steffy and Marcus bail Owen out.
At the police station, the fabulous Baker boys tell Owen that his bond has been posted. Owen asks who posted it. Lt. Baker opens the door and lets Marcus and Steffy in. Owen thanks them, but Marcus tells him to thank Steffy, who put up the bail money. Steffy explains that Marcus told her that Donna was attacked and said that they might need Owen's help to find the attacker. Owen asks if the police know about the attack. Not yet, Marcus replies, informing Owen that Donna went to Big Bear to hide out. Steffy tells Owen that she wants to know who is behind all this, but she doesn't think it's her grandmother.

Ridge and Stephanie are stunned to learn that Donna was attacked.
Ridge arrives at the mansion with Stephanie, who asks Brooke why she had to be dragged away from dinner at Cafe Russe. Brooke is surprised that Stephanie was just minutes away from here. Stephanie wants to know what's going on, so Brooke explains that Donna was attacked and hands Stephanie the key-chain she found in the door. Stephanie states that she's been looking for those all day and asks Brooke where she found them. "In the front door, left there by the person who attacked my sister," Brooke charges. Stephanie insists that she did not attack Donna. Just then, Marcus and Steffy arrive. Marcus tells Stephanie that someone tried to hurt his mom, and Donna thought it was her. Ridge tries to calm everyone down, and Brooke suggests that they call the police to let them decide.

Ann gives Stephanie disturbing news about Pam.
Before Stephanie can respond, she gets a call on her cell phone from her mother in Chicago. Ann tells Stephanie that she got a package from the pharmacy containing Pam's medication; the pharmacy sent them to the house since Pam didn't inform them that she was in L.A. Stephanie tells her mother to forward the pills to her and she'll give them to Pam, but Ann adds that she looked in Pam's medicine chest after the package arrived and found an identical bag of full prescription bottles dated back to June. Stephanie is shocked to learn that her sister has been off her meds for three months. Ann reminds Stephanie what happens when Pam is off her meds. Stephanie tells her mom to let her handle this and ends the call. Stephanie then tells the others that Pam has been off her medication for three months. Steffy asks what kind of medication it is. "The kind that keeps you from posing a danger to yourself and others," Stephanie replies, leading the others to see how serious this is.

At Forrester, Pam gets a call from Earl, the caretaker at the Big Bear cabin. He tells her that he got a message from Mrs. Forrester to open the cabin up, so he wanted to make sure that Pam had warned her about the bears that have been roaming around the area. Pam says that she'll let her sister know, but Earl tells her that it's the other Mrs. Forrester who called, so it's a good thing he stocked up on those "honey bears" she likes so much. Surprised to learn that Donna is on her way to Big Bear, Pam tells Earl she has to go and hangs up.

Donna is less than thrilled by Pam's presence.
Donna drives for miles and miles and finally arrives at the cabin, where she she sees the "honey bears" Earl stocked up on for her. Seeing the bear shaped bottles reminds her of the time she first showed one of the "honey bears" to Eric. Soon after, Pam arrives wearing a fishing outfit and says that she came up to do some fly fishing. Donna tells Pam to get out of her cabin. Pam argues that Eric told her she could come up any time she wanted, and she's not about to drive back at night after coming such a long way. She guesses they'll have to share the cabin and suggests that she and Donna take advantage of their time alone here to have a little heart-to-heart. Donna thinks it's too late for that, but Pam says that it's never too late.

Owen figures out who drugged Eric.
At the police station, Lt. Baker gives Owen his things and reminds him that he's still a suspect, even if he's out on bail. Owen asks for copies of the evidence against him, since he thinks his training as a legal investigator might help him find something he can use for his defense. While Lt. Baker goes to get the evidence folder, Owen calls Donna and asks if she got to the cabin all right. She says that she did, although she was freaked out earlier by the attack on her. Owen tells her that he's out on bail and will join her there as soon as his paperwork is processed, since he doesn't want her to be alone tonight. Donna informs him that Pam is there, but Owen still wants to be there with her. As Owen hangs up, Lt. Baker brings in the evidence folder to Owen. After the lieutenant leaves, Owen reads the three page report. The first two pages show the toxicology results that Owen already knew about, but the third page shows the contents of Eric's stomach and shows traces of nutmeg. Owen recalls tasting one of Pam's lemon bars and detecting a hint of nutmeg; he realizes that the drug must have been in the lemon bars. Owen grabs his things and bolts out.

Pam has got a gun...
Back at the cabin, Pam asks Donna who was on the phone, but Donna doesn't want to answer and goes to check the kitchen for food. While Donna is gone, Pam turns off Donna's cell phone and unplugs the phone from the wall. Donna asks what kind of a job their caretaker does around here, since she only found crackers and ketchup. Pam offers Donna a lemon bar, but Donna wants no part of Pam or her lemon bars. Meanwhile, Owen has somehow commandeered a police car and is rushing up to the cabin. He tries to call Donna, but when it goes to voice mail, he leaves a message for her to be wary of Pam and warns her not let Pam feed her anything. Back at the cabin, Pam offers Donna a truce with the lemon bars, asking why Donna always makes hurtful, catty remarks about her and her pastries. Donna agrees to try one lemon bar but then thinks twice and doesn't eat it after all. She tells Pam to just accept that she'll never like her or her lemon bars and that they'll never be friends. Pam is hurt by Donna's mean comment. Donna tries to explain that there is just something weird about Pam that worries her. She then sees that she is upsetting Pam and tries to backpedal, but she finds herself staring down the barrel of a shotgun being held by Pam. "It was you!" a shocked Donna realizes.
