Taylor spends time making out with Rick.
At her Bel Air home, Taylor makes out with Rick on the couch. She tells him that she understands now why he didn't wait for her at Bridget's earlier. She sees now that he wanted to be here waiting for her. Rick tells her she's right. As they continue to make out, Rick suggests that they take a mini-getaway at one of the new private cabanas at Bikini Beach, since it would give them some time alone. Since Jack is with Nick and Bridget now, he thinks it's the perfect time for him and Taylor to take some time for themselves.
Rick suggests to Taylor that they get away for a while.
Taylor assumes that he's telling her that she needs to get a grip. Rick responds that he didn't say that. However, he knows things have been less than perfect lately since Jack hasn't been sleeping, and that means she hasn't been sleeping, either. So what would be better than taking the time to slip away and escape together, even if it's just for a few hours? He asks her to let him put all thoughts and worries out of her head and pamper her, since that's his specialty. "It's just one of your many specialties," Taylor purrs as they resume kissing.

Marcus tells Steffy that he fell in love with her.
In one of the Bikini Beach cabanas, Steffy leads Marcus to the bed. They gaze intently at each other until Steffy purrs, "I want you." They start to kiss, but Marcus pulls away and tells her that they can't do this until her family supports them. Steffy tells him that she only wants to be with him, but Marcus refuses to come between her and her dad. He fears that she's so stubborn that she would walk away from her family to make a point, and he can't see what kind of a future they'd have if she did that. Steffy tells Marcus not to do this and confesses that she's wanted this for months, and she thought he wanted this, too. Marcus professes that he has since the day he first saw her. He never dreamed he'd come to L.A. and meet his mom, get a great job and fall in love. Hearing him use the word "love," Steffy declares that she's in love with him, too, but she's been trying to fight those feelings for weeks. Marcus asks why she's been fighting it. Steffy guesses she was a bit unsure and afraid.

Steffy tells Marcus not to think about what her dad wants.
Marcus reminds Steffy of the way she kept his secret and stood up for him when she first found out that Donna is his mother. He couldn't believe she would do something like that for him. Steffy tells him that she knew he was special. Holding Steffy's hand, Marcus recalls how his mother warned him not to fall in love with Ridge Forrester's daughter, but he couldn't help it and has done just that. They resume kissing, but Marcus pulls away again. Steffy asks if he's OK. Marcus says he is, but he knows she has so much to lose because of him since her dad will fight their relationship to the end when he finds out. "Let him," Steffy proclaims, saying that it won't change a thing, but Marcus doesn't think Ridge will let up on this. Steffy asks him to please forget about her dad and think about her and what they share. She tells him that she needs and loves him. "If you love me, show me," she directs. Marcus leans toward her and kisses her. He then picks her up and carries her to the bed, where they lie down and make out.

Bridget doesn't understand Katie's reaction.
At Brooke's house, Katie tells Bridget that she can't be Jack's godmother because she doesn't know if she'll be alive in a few years. Bridget disagrees; she can't think of a better influence on Jack than Katie, and if god forbid anything happened to Katie, they could cross that bridge then. She insists that Katie is the "perfect choice" and points out that Taylor agreed. "Stop saying that I'm perfect. I'm not," an upset Katie fires back. Bridget doesn't understand why Katie is reacting this way and asks her what's going on. Beth jumps in says that she understands what Katie's feeling, since being a godmother is a big responsibility. Bridget admits to her grandma that she hadn't thought of it that way. She just thought this would be good for Katie and she's sorry. Katie says it's not that simple. Bridget doesn't see why, since many heart transplant patients live happy lives and even have kids. Katie asks Bridget if she really thinks she could have a healthy child. Bridget offers to check the statistics to be sure, but Katie tells her to forget about it. Bridget is sure Katie will have her own family some day, but until then, she has the family she was born into, plus Nick, Bridget and Jack. Beth suggests that Bridget give Katie some time to think it over. Bridget agrees and tells Katie that she's here for her, since she feels like they're bonded for life. Katie sobs that she needs some time to herself right now, so Bridget asks her to think about what she said. "I think it would make Nick very happy for you to be a part of his child's life," Bridget states before she leaves.

Nick has some questions for Bridget.
At the Marone mansion, Nick stands by the window and stares at his wallet sized "prom night" photo of him and Katie. He goes over to pour himself a drink and flashes back to the night he and Katie shared on Catalina Island. As he sits down on the couch and takes another sip from his glass, his mind is filled with alternating images of Katie and Bridget, but the recollections stop when Bridget comes home and asks how he is. Nick says he's relaxing and asks how she is. Bridget tells him that she's a bit exhausted because she went over to ask Katie to be Jack's godmother, but Katie turned her down. Nick asks why she didn't discuss it with him first before talking to Katie. Bridget apologizes, since she knows they agreed to talk about it, but she really felt she had to do this. Nick asks if Katie said why she declined. Bridget explains that Katie said that she didn't know how long she'll live, but Katie was acting so strange. She really thinks Katie needs this, and since she couldn't get through to Katie, she asks Nick if he can talk to her. Nick doesn't think he'd have any better luck than she did, but Bridget disagrees. Nick asks if Jack even needs a godmother. Bridget says that this is about Katie more than Jack, because Katie is stressing out over something, and she doesn't think that's good for Katie's heart. She asks Nick to please do this for her and talk some sense into Katie. Nick finally agrees. Bridget thanks him with a kiss.

Beth tries to reassure Katie.
Back at Brooke's house, Katie falls into her mother's arms and sobs, "Oh, god, Mom, what am I gonna do?" Beth tells her to get a hold of herself, but Katie is too torn up about betraying her niece. Beth points out that Katie didn't do anything intentional. Katie weeps over the fact that she's pregnant with Bridget's husband's child at the same time that Bridget thinks she's the perfect choice to be godmother to Nick's other child. Beth reminds her that she was at death's door, but Katie says that's no excuse. "How could I do this to Bridget?" she sobs. After Beth leaves the room, Katie continues to fret that she's destroyed her friend. Becoming hysterical with guilt, she starts to hyperventilate and tries to regain her composure.

Katie tells Nick that she can't regret their baby.
Soon after, Nick arrives and sees that Katie is upset. She asks him what she has done. Nick reminds her that she's not alone in this, and he points out that she never asked him to make love to her on that beach. Katie frets that she should be happy and excited, because this is what she's always wanted, but it's become a nightmare that is bound to hurt everyone. It hasn't hurt anyone yet, Nick points out, but Katie reminds him that Bridget is bound to find out eventually, even if she loses the baby. Nick tells her not to talk like that, because she and the baby will both be fine, but Katie fears that she's is going to repay all the sacrifices Bridget has made for her by breaking Bridget's heart. Nick tells her to believe him when he says this will work out. He's not sure how, but he knows it will. Katie tells him that the best and worst part of this whole thing is that their baby exists against all odds, and she finds that amazing. When she wakes up each morning, she thinks about having this baby. And as guilty as she feels about what she's done and how it will hurt Bridget, she can't regret that she's having this child. "I can't regret it," she repeats as she tearfully embraces Nick.
