Jackie asks her son if he's fallen for the baby sitter.
As Nick helps her carry some stuff for Jack into the Marone mansion, Jackie tells him about her plans to renovate the old Spectra building, including the architect's suggestion that she take the bathtub out of her office. She asks Nick if he can go over the plans with her. Nick tells her that he agrees about the tub, since she has already milked it for two magazine covers, and his only comment on the rest is that he wants to see a return on his investment soon. When Jackie reminds him that these things take time, Nick agrees that timing is everything. Jackie guesses that he's talking about more than just her company and asks what's wrong, so Nick confides that he's having women problems. He looks around and realizes that the two women in question who he left here having a heated conversation have left the room. Jackie laughs that such fighting is "good for the male ego," but Nick explains that he didn't encourage this "chat" between Bridget and Katie Logan. A surprised Jackie asks Nick when he started spending time with Katie. Nick explains that he found that he and Katie have a lot in common since she's been helping him care for Jack. "You're falling for the babysitter," Jackie observes, wondering if Katie might be using Jack as an excuse to come over to see Nick. Nick points out that Katie only got involved to help Bridget, her niece. Jackie sees how Katie's being Bridget's aunt could complicate things. Nick tells her that it already has.

Katie tells Bridget that she's sorry.
Meanwhile, Bridget and Katie have taken their conversation into the study. Katie assures Bridget that she feels bad about kissing Nick and insists that she never meant to hurt Bridget, who wants to know how long this has been going on. Wracked with guilt, Katie promises Bridget that it was only one kiss and explains how sick she's felt about keeping the kiss a secret. "I feel like an idiot," she opines, asserting that she'll understand if Bridget will hate her forever. Bridget states that she's not going to hate Katie forever. In fact, since she knows how charming Nick can be, Bridget thinks it's kind of cute that Katie would have some sort of crush on him. Katie points out that she never used the word "crush" and insists that what's going on is even less than that, since she's not even falling for Nick. Bridget hopes not, since she thinks it would be weird for the babysitter to fall for the man she's sitting for. Katie asks if Bridget is implying that she's not sexy enough for a man like Nick by simply referring to her as "the babysitter." Bridget says that she just never imagined that Katie might fall for Nick and suggests that they not get catty and bitchy about this. She just doesn't want to see Katie get hurt over this. Bridget then turns to get a bottle for Jack, but Katie says she'll do it, since she's the babysitter. After Katie leaves the room, Bridget vows to herself that she's not going to lose Nick a second time, especially not to her Aunt Katie.

Bridget tells Jackie that she wants a second chance with Nick.
Bridget returns to the living room and finds Jackie there with the gifts she brought for Jack. Bridget asks where Nick is. Jackie says that he's checking on the baby. Bridget says she was going to do that, but Jackie is sure Nick will bring Jack down if he's awake. Bridget looks at the plethora of toys and baby clothes that Grandma Jackie brought and smiles when she sees an outfit that will look darling on Jack when she takes him to their "babes-and-moms exercise class." When Jackie seems surprised that Bridget is taking Jack to exercise classes, Bridget assures her former mother-in-law that she isn't letting her expectations get out of line, although she admits that she's hoping for a second chance with Nick. She knows how fond Jackie is of Brooke but thinks Brooke's time with has passed. Nick comes down with the baby and asks how things are going. Jackie takes that as her cue to give Bridget and Nick some time alone, so she takes Jack from Nick and leaves the room.

Nick asks Bridget how her talk with Katie went.
Nick asks Bridget how her talk with Katie went. Bridget tells him that she knows about the kiss and asks him if he felt anything, but Nick scoffs at the notion that and old sailor like him would feel anything from just one kiss. Bridget tells him that she knows he's going through a lot now, so she wants to keep things light and easy between them. Still, she thinks he needs to open up to her if he feels the need to kiss anyone else, since she was hurt when Katie told her about the kiss. She asks Nick to promise not to do it again. Nick assures her that it won't. Bridget starts to tell Nick how much he means to her, but Jackie calls Nick upstairs to help with his son. Nick says he'll be right up just as Katie enters the room with a bottle for Jack in her hand, so Nick takes the bottle and heads upstairs. Alone in the room with her aunt, Bridget explains that she spoke to Nick and everything is settled. Katie asks what Nick said, but Bridget doesn't see any need to get into the details. The only thing that matters to her is that she and Nick are getting a second chance at a real relationship, since they never really had a fair shot when they were married. "I am not gonna lose that to anyone," Katie vows to Katie, "especially not you."

Brooke asks Ridge if he told Ashley the truth about Storm.
Brooke finds Ridge in his office and asks where he was, since she's been trying to reach him ever since he ran off to find Ashley. She hopes he didn't tell Ashley that Storm shot Stephanie since everyone in their two families, including Stephanie herself, agreed to keep the shooter's identity a secret. Ridge lies to her that her secret is still safe, which leaves Brooke relieved. She doesn't want Ashley to know the truth, since she was hoping that Storm and Ashley might go out again. They already have, Ridge informs her, explaining that he just saw Storm and Ashley having dinner at Cafe Russe. He confesses to Brooke that the idea of Storm being out with Ashley again scares the hell out of him. Brooke reminds him that dating isn't a crime. Ridge agrees, but he still feels funny about giving Storm another change to possibly hurt anyone he knows.

Ridge insists that Storm is dangerous.
Brooke assures Ridge that Storm isn't inherently violent. "He shot my mother and tried to pin it on your father," Ridge reminds Brooke, admitting that he's bothered by the thought of how dangerous Storm is. He doesn't share Brooke's opinion that Storm is harmless, so he can't help but look out for the people he cares about as far as Storm is concerned. Brooke argues that Storm just reach a breaking point under extenuating circumstances and snapped, but Ridge suggests that she's letting the fact that Storm is her brother give her tunnel vision when it comes to what Storm is capable of. Brooke asks Ridge if this is about Storm or about Ashley. Ridge replies that it's about Storm, who is a loose cannon. "I don't want him where he can threaten our family or anyone I care about, and that includes Ashley," Ridge proclaims. Brooke assures him that Storm isn't a threat to anyone, especially not to Ashley.

Ashley feels creeped out being in the car with Storm.
Meanwhile, Storm is driving Ashley home from Cafe Russe. Storm flashes back to his confrontation with Ridge earlier at the restaurant, while Ashley remembers Ridge warning her about Storm. Ashley suggests that Storm let her off here so she can catch a cab, since she doesn't want to take him far out of his way just to take her home, but Storm tells her that it's no trouble. Suddenly, Storm slams on the brakes. Ashley asks if something's wrong, so Storm tells her that he saw her with Ridge earlier at the restaurant and asks if Ridge said anything to her about him. Ashley lies that Ridge came by to talk to her about a problem at work, but Storm doesn't quite buy it. Storm asks Ashley if Ridge gave her some kind of warning about him and pleads with her not to let Ridge ruin everything. Ashley tells him that Ridge isn't ruining anything, reminding Storm of all the fun they had tonight. She offers again to get out now and grab a cab, but Storm won't let Ridge ruin a perfectly good night and drives Ashley home.

Storm stands outside Ashley's house in the rain.
When they arrive at her place, Storm asks Ashley if she'd like some company, but Ashley tells him that she has a pretty big day tomorrow. Storm guesses she's talking about work on the Belief fragrance and makes a remark about how our belief in what's true shapes how we think and act. "What is it you believe in, Ashley?" he asks. "Do you believe in, the fun we had, or do you believe in Ridge and what he thinks of me?" Ashley pauses for a moment and then decides not to answer, instead telling Storm that she had a good time, but it's time to call it a night. Storm points out that it's starting to rain and suggests that he come in for a nightcap so the two of them can get to know each other better, but Ashley insists that she's too tired and bids him goodnight. Sensing the change in Ashley's demeanor since her chat with Ridge, Storm muses to himself, "You definitely said something to her, Ridge." Meanwhile, inside the house, Ashley calls Ridge to tell him that she got home safe. She tells him that things seemed a bit tense in the car when Storm drove her home, but she thinks she covered how scared she was and didn't let on to Storm that she knew the truth about him. Ridge is glad to hear that she's home safe, since he still cares a great deal about her. He tells her to go lock the door, but Ashley says that she already did. Meanwhile, Storm stands outside in the pouring rain, obsessing about Ridge's interference. "I'm not gonna let you ruin this, Forrester," he proclaims, vowing to himself that he and Ashley will be together.
