Nick tells Taylor why Donna is marrying Thorne.
Taylor drops by Nick's office, and Nick is clearly thrilled to see his pregnant wife. He wants to get a little feisty with her, but Taylor tries to cool him down by discussing possible names for the baby. Nick's pleased when she suggests "Jeremy" for a name, thinking that means she's thinking their child is a boy, but then she suggests "Jacqueline" if it's a girl. Nick thinks it might be confusing for their child to share a name with his mother and suggests that their baby have an original name of its own. With that out of the way, Nick turns his attentions back to his wife, but he's interrupted by an important call. When Nick ends the call, Taylor asks him if his mother is joining them for dinner, but Nick tells her that Jackie is at Thorne and Donna's wedding. Feeling a bit miffed not to be invited to his spokesperson's wedding, Nick asks if the food at those Forrester weddings is as good as he's heard. Taylor guesses that Stephanie didn't go all out on this wedding, because the bride's last name is Logan. "That's the whole point," Nick remarks. When Taylor asks what he means, Nick tells her that Donna is only marrying Thorne to stick it to Stephanie.

Taylor worries that Thorne will get hurt by Donna.
Taylor asks Nick why he believes that Donna is only getting married for revenge. Nick explains that Donna told his mother about it some time ago, but he never said anything since he didn't think Donna would really go through with it. Taylor is immediately alarmed, since she knows Thorne wouldn't have proposed unless he really believed in Donna's love. Nick tells her to let this be on Donna's conscience, since she can't race to Thorne's rescue every time he's in crisis, but Taylor just can't stand by and let Thorne get hurt. She wants to go over to the mansion and talk to Thorne before it's too late. "Go on. Save the world," Nick tells her, so Taylor rushes out the door.

Felicia reads an old wedding standby.
At the Forrester mansion, Thorne remembers what Katie told him earlier about Donna's motives as Donna walks down the aisle. A blissful Donna arrives by Thorne's side, not even noticing the troubled looks on Thorne and Katie's faces. The minister begins the ceremony and gets to the part where he asks if anyone objects to this union, but Katie and Stephanie both remain silent. The minister then calls on Felicia, who reads the old standby "love is patient, love is kind" passage from Corinthians.
Donna recites her vows as Katie looks on.
Once Felicia is done, the minister tells Thorne and Donna to join hands and instructs Donna to start with her vows. Donna gushes that this is something she's waited to say all her life, and she's glad she's saying it to Thorne. She admits that this wedding happened pretty quickly, but she then also notes that she and Thorne have known each other for years, which gave their relationship a chance to blossom.

Thorne can't go through with the wedding.
It's time for Thorne's vows, but he can't get what Katie told him earlier out of his head. He tells Donna that there is so much going through his head, but he can't find the words to express it. He starts to talk about the commitment that is part of marriage, but he then stops, crumbles the paper with his notes and says, "I can't do this." As Thorne bolts from the room and retreats to the den, Donna calls out to him and follows.

Clarke and the other guests wonder what just happened.
The crowd remains stunned. Clarke asks what just happened. "Stephanie's wildest dream just came true," Storm remarks. Katie says this has nothing to do with Stephanie and everything to do with Thorne and Donna. Jackie suggests that the bride and groom just need to talk. Felicia announces that the caterer is serving drinks by the pool, so everyone prepares to go outside, but Stephanie suggests that they all go home. Bridget thinks they should wait for Thorne to come back, but Stephanie is confident based on what just happened that her son isn't going to marry Donna, today or any other day.

Donna pleads her case to Thorne.
In the den, Thorne beats himself up for not seeing the signs when Donna comes banging on the door, asking what's wrong. Unlocking the door, Thorne tells her that she already knows what's wrong. Donna thinks he's just having a case of cold feet. Angry at her denial, Thorne lashes out that he thought that what they shared was real. It was, Donna insists, but Thorne isn't buying it. Donna guesses that his mother got to him, but Thorne laments that he turned a deaf ear to his mother's pleas. Donna tries to convince him that someone put ideas in his head - and she knows who it is when she sees her sister Katie standing in the doorway. Donna seethes that Katie, her own sister, stabbed her in the back and asks Katie if she knows what she's done, not just to her, but to Thorne and Aly, too. She accuses Katie of being jealous, but Katie retorts that Donna knows full well that it isn't true and insists that she just wanted Thorne to know the truth. Donna insists that she didn't lie, pleading with Thorne to believe that she will be a good wife. When Katie asks how Stephanie fits into this, Donna fumes at her sister and accuses Katie of working with Stephanie. Thorne tells Donna to stop making Katie out to be the bad guy when Donna was the one who used him for revenge. Katie tells Donna she's sorry, but Donna isn't listening and begs Thorne to see that she loves him. "You don't," Thorne replies. Donna bolts from the room in tears.
Katie tries to reassure Thorne.
Thorne continues to wonder how he couldn't see the signs that Donna was just using him. Katie tells him that she's sorry and suggests that he just wanted to see the best in Donna, but Thorne thinks he let his loneliness eclipse his judgment. Katie doesn't want to make excuses for Donna, but she guesses that her sister must have been desperate to go to these lengths. Thorne thanks Katie for doing the right thing and keeping him from making a tragic mistake that would have affected his whole family.

Jackie offers solace to Eric.
Back in the living room, Jackie tries to console Eric, since she saw how supportive he was of the wedding. She suggests that it may have been for the best that the wedding didn't happen. Taylor comes in and asks what happened. She's relieved when Jackie tells her that Thorne called off the wedding.

Stephanie tells Donna that she blew it.
Donna retreats to the guest house and starts stripping off her wedding gown, smashing some glass bottles in a tantrum as she does. Stephanie comes in and finds Donna in her lingerie, with her "weapons" on display; she gloats that Donna's "weapons" failed her today. Donna counters that Stephanie, as always, is threatened by her sexuality, but Stephanie simply gloats that Thorne fortunately came to his senses in time. Stephanie is glad that Katie told Thorne the truth, proving that there's at least one decent Logan in the family tree. Donna asks how Stephanie can see what Katie did as decent, since it broke Thorne's heart. Stephanie says that Donna's the one who broke Thorne's heart and tells the conniving opportunist to think about that as she packs her things and leaves. Donna tries to slap Stephanie, but Stephanie grabs Donna's hind as it swings and tells Donna to get off her property. "You blew it, and no one in this family's ever gonna be taken in by you again," Stephanie rants. Donna vows that someday, she will get her revenge on Donna, but Stephanie doesn't want to hear it and leaves, leaving a sobbing Donna behind.
