A frantic Taylor fears for her baby's life.
At the hospital, Taylor frets that the egg donor might not want to help them. Nick reminds her that they may not need the donor, since he's being tested as a bone marrow donor for the baby as well. Unfortunately, those hopes are dashed when a lab tech comes in and tells Nick that his has a virus called Cytomegalovirus, or CMV, in his blood. While it isn't active and can't harm him, the virus could be fatal for a baby without an immune system. Realizing that the donor is their only hope, Taylor frantically demands to see Dr. Caron. Nick tries to calm her down, but Taylor keeps going on about how their baby could die!

Egg donor Ann agrees to help.
Dr. Caron is still on the phone with Ann Lloyd, the egg donor. As she explains the baby's plight to Ms. Lloyd, Dr. Caron gets word that Nick is not a viable marrow donor and informs Ms. Lloyd that she's the baby's best hope. Ms. Lloyd agrees to help. Dr. Caron tells the woman that the baby's father has arranged for a helicopter to bring her to the hospital, but it turns out that Ms. Lloyd is getting a master's in psychology and is serving an internship right there in the hospital. She tells a grateful Dr. Caron that she'll be right there. Dr. Caron then sends a nurse to give Nick and Taylor the good news. Taylor is immediately calmed by the news that the donor is local and is on her way to help. Nick asks the nurse to give Taylor the details while he tends to something. Taylor asks Nick where he's going; he tells her that he wants to make sure everything runs smoothly and bolts out the door. After asking an intern for directions to the fertility lab, he heads out to find Bridget. Meanwhile, Dr. Caron arrives and tells Taylor that the egg donor is an intern here. Taylor wants to meet the woman and thank her for helping, but Dr. Caron points out that it might not be possible because of the confidentiality agreements everyone signed as part of the IVF process.

Brooke and Ridge see that "the camera doesn't lie."
Meanwhile, Brooke and Ridge are at her house, where Brio the Forrester photographer is taking pictures of them for the cover of Eye on Fashion. After getting some shots of the duo holding glasses of champagne, Brio asks to ditch the bubbly so she can get more intimate. She tells Ridge and Brooke to move closer and make eye contact, pretending that they really like each other. "That's a tall order," Brooke quips. Ridge tells her to do it for the team, so Brooke looks at him. Brio gets some more shots, telling her subjects that they make it easy for her. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you two were..." she says, pausing for a moment to recall that Ridge is now engaged to Ashley. Ridge tells Brio to quit while she's ahead, so she gets the final shots and wraps up. She then tells Ridge and Brooke that Jarrett will be pleased with the photos and bets that these shots of "fashion's first couple" reunited will make the issue of Eye on Fashion fly off the shelves. Ridge points out that it will be even better since it's happening at Forrester Creations. Brio agrees and lets the pair of them get a look at one of the photos on her camera's view screen. "The camera doesn't lie," she states.

Ridge stays after the photo shoot wraps.
After Brio leaves, Ridge starts to put out the candles but Brooke asks him to leave them, pointing out that she bought new fire extinguishers for the house. Ridge is glad she thought of that but thinks he should leave, but Brooke asks him to stay, since they still have some champagne left from the shoot and doesn't want to waste it. Ridge tells her she's so practical. She says Katie is the practical one, but she doesn't see a need for him to rush off. Since Ashley's in Paris, she asks Ridge if he can stay and be here when R.J. comes home from soccer practice, since it would thrill their son. She adds that it would thrill R.J. even more to have his dad move back in, but Ridge asks her not to go there. Brooke apologizes; it's just that she knows that Ridge wouldn't be committed elsewhere had she not turned to Nick. As they sip champagne, Brooke talks about how far the two of them go back. Ridge tells her that they can't go back, but Brooke wishes she could have just one do-over to fix the mistake she made when she broke up with him in Sydney and went running straight to Nick. She knows he's going to say that her actions that day show how hung up she is on Nick, but she assures him that she's over Nick and only wants a life with Ridge. "In my heart, I feel like this is my last chance to do what's right for R.J.," she states. She tells Ridge that she sees now what really matters to her now, so she wants to be his Logan again, and she knows he wants the same thing. Ridge responds by smiling at her, prompting Brooke to realize that he does want the same thing she does. They lean toward each other and kiss.

Carl tells Bridget to view the test results for herself.
In the fertility lab, Bridget asks Carl to read her the results of the test she did. He tells her that she's the doctor, so she should look for herself. Bridget hesitates as she looks at the computer screen to see the results. Soon after, she's alone in the lab when Nick comes in, demanding to know who the mother of the baby is. Bridget pauses for a moment before telling him that she knows whose egg it was. "The egg came from my mother," she regretfully tells him. Nick frets about how he can tell Taylor about this. Bridget tells him that he can't tell Taylor about this in her current condition. Nick agrees, but he insists that they get Brooke here immediately. Bridget doesn't think that's wise, but Nick explains to her about the baby having SCIDS. He quickly explains how he's not a viable candidate for a bone marrow transplant, so they need Brooke to keep that baby alive. On top of that, he informs her that Dr. Caron contacted the woman they thought was the egg donor, and that woman agreed to help. Bridget tells him that they have to find Dr. Caron before they start the transplant with the wrong donor and says that she'll call her mom on the way.

Brooke tells Ridge that Bridget needs her.
Back at Brooke's house, she and Ridge pull away from their kiss. Just as Brooke tells Ridge how much she loves him, her phone rings. Ridge says she should answer it, since it should be about the kids, so she picks up and is surprised to hear Bridget on the line. Bridget asks Brooke to come to the hospital right now, and to come alone. Hearing the tension in her older daughter's voice, Brooke says she'll be right there. When Brooke tells Ridge that Bridget needs her, he wonders what's wrong, since Thomas said everything was fine with Taylor when they spoke earlier. "I don't think it has anything to do with Taylor or the baby," Brooke states as she turns to leave. Ridge offers to drive her, but she tells him to stay here and wait for her to get back.

Bridget tells Dr. Caron that Brooke was the donor.
In the hospital, Dr. Caron is waiting for Ms. Lloyd's test results so they can begin the procedure, Bridget bursts in and tells Dr. Caron to stop. When Dr. Caron asks what's going on, Bridget tells her about the RH Antigen test she just ran on the baby's blood which showed that her mother's egg was accidentally implanted in Taylor. "If you're gonna take bone marrow from anyone to try to treat this child, it has to be from my mother," Bridget insists, informing the doctor that her mom is on the way right now. She's sure Brooke will help once she knows the situation.

Nick asks Brooke for help.
In her hospital room, Taylor anxiously waits for news of the transplant. Meanwhile, Brooke arrives at the hospital and looks around for Bridget, Nick sees her and pulls her aside into an exam room. Brooke tells him that Bridget told her to rush right over but didn't say why, so she asks if this has anything to do with the baby. Nick confirms that something has happened and tells her that there is something she needs to know about his son. Before he can say anything more, Bridget comes and tells Nick that she found Dr. Caron in time. Brooke asks what's going on, so Nick and Bridget quickly explain that Nick's son has S.C.I.D.S and will die without a bone marrow transplant from one of the biological parents. Brooke thinks that's good news, but it doesn't explain why Nick is here with her instead of being with the donor mother right now. "What does this have to do with me?" she asks. Nick tells her, "It has everything to do with you, Brooke."
