Thorne tells Katie about Eric and Donna.
Katie stops by Forrester Creations to congratulate Thorne on his family's regaining their business and sees that Thorne is in a sour mood. Thorne tells her that he's not too happy with some of the terms, since his father is having an affair with Katie's sister. Katie thinks he's talking about Brooke, but she's disgusted when Thorne tells her he's talking about her other sister, his ex-fiancee Donna! Thorne is glad to see that she agrees with him, since he thinks his father is as much in denial about Donna as he was before he nearly married her. Katie point out that Eric has lost his mind this way in the past and done something like this, but Thorne remarks that he hoped that stage of his dad's life was over.

Katie kids around with Thorne.
Katie can only apologize for her sister, but Thorne is more concerned with the fact that his dad just dropped his mom over some fight to have a fling. Katie retorts that she knows Stephanie is his mother and he loves her, but that's the one part she can understand. Even so, she admits that at times like this, she wishes she wasn't a Logan after all. Thorne agrees that he's had fantasies of having his real family show up to claim him, but that stopped when he married Darla. Katie kids that maybe the two of them are just sitting around waiting for their real families. She gives Thorne the gift she brought for him, a nameplate for his door. Thorne thanks her for talking and for the gift and says he'll see her around.

Ashley talks with Eric about her place in Ridge's life.
Ashley stops in to see Eric, who asked to see her. He wants to make sure that things aren't uncomfortable for her now that they're back at Forrester Creations, since she'll be working side by side with Brooke. Ashley thanks him for the concern, especially since he's been supportive of Brooke and Ridge in the past. Eric says that he's just seen a pattern with those two; Ashley says she's not a pattern, but a person, and one who intends to marry his son at that. "Can you deal with that?" she asks. Eric says he can, since Ridge is like him in that he needs a strong woman in his life. Ashley argues that she's not like Stephanie, especially now that she knows what Stephanie did to Brooke with Andy Johnson. Realizing that Ashley knows, Eric regrets that he didn't do something to stop Stephanie sooner. Ashley tells him not to feel guilty about his wife's actions and asks if he heard from Stephanie yet. He says he's only gotten some letters, and that worries him. Just then, Donna comes in, so Ashley says her goodbyes to Eric and heads to meet Ridge at his home.

Eric doesn't know what he'll do when Stephanie returns.
Donna tells Eric it's closing time and asks how things went with Thorne. Eric tells her that he's surprised she wasn't listening at the door. Donna laughs as she tells him that for years, no one ever stood up for her. That's why she didn't expect it when Thorne took such a strong stand for Stephanie. Eric reminds her that Thorne doesn't know what Stephanie did, but Donna wonders why that should matter. She thinks Thorne is just acting like any child in thinking that his parents should stay together. She asks Eric what will happen when Stephanie returns, especially in light of his agreement with Nick, although she points out Nick can't do much more than huff and puff if Eric doesn't divorce Stephanie. Eric says he doesn't know what Nick will do, just as he doesn't know what he'll do when Stephanie returns. Donna wonders if Thorne was right that Eric was invested in his marriage, even if the marriage didn't make Eric happy, since it gave him a sense of being connected. She asks Eric if maybe Thorne is right about her, that she's only after Eric's money.

Donna doesn't know how to answer Eric's question.
Eric asks Donna if she's only using him, although he doesn't think it would make much difference if she was. Donna says she would answer if she knew what the answer was, since she only looks at herself in the mirror and doesn't give as much thought to what she sees as other people might. She laughs that she likes money, which is nice, but she only needs pantyhose and bourbon for what she does best. Eric laughs that drinking the cheap stuff will be terrible for her teeth. Donna tells him that the fact that he said something like that shows why he's the kind of man she wants to wake up to, and she could throw herself at him unmercifully if she wanted to, especially seeing all the young models looking at him. Eric tells her he can't get what he needs from a 19 year old. And what is it he needs? Donna asks. "I'm not gonna sidestep you. I want to be as good for you as you are for me," Eric admits as he takes her in his arms.

Ridge asks Brooke to accept that he's marrying someone else.
Ashley goes to Ridge's house and waits for him. Meanwhile, Ridge is still talking with Brooke at her place. She tells him they can talk freely, since Felicia has the kids over for a sleep-over. Ridge is glad, since he thinks he has to talk. First, he wants to apologize for changing his mind about her counseling sessions. Brooke says she sees that Ashley feels threatened, but she says it's more like she's annoyed. He explains that Ashley doesn't understand why she always turns to him instead of looking to Katie, Donna or Bridget. Brooke explains that having a man supporting her and trusting her is important, since many women who were raped are not able to trust a woman. She however has him, and she's grateful for that. Ridge tells her that there's more going on between them than support. Brooke asks if he told Ashley that, but Ridge says there's no need, since this has to end tonight. He agrees that he and Brooke will always be linked by their son and their work, but he thinks they needs to draw some boundaries, since he feels like he's been sending her mixed signals. He can only apologize for that, since he didn't intend to give her the wrong impression, since he's lucky to have her in his life. But at the same time, he needs her to accept that he's in love with and is marrying someone else.
Brooke tells Ridge that she won't argue with him, because she still has faith in their relationship. However, before he leaves, she has something to give him, kind of thank you for his knowing what she needs, even when she doesn't, She takes out a photo album and tells him that she found a lot of old photos while cleaning out the closet for Katie, and she found some that she never thought would see the light of day ever again. "Open it at your own risk," she laughs. Ridge opens it and sees highlights of his relationship with Brooke. They two of them laugh as they recall the found moments - Puerto Vista, his proposing to her, the pillow fight at Big Bear, Lake Como, Portofino, their beach wedding, the time they mud wrestled together. As the song, "Just Once More" plays, the two of them walk down memory lane and remember the past. Ridge then close the album and turns to leave, saying he'll look at these later. Brooke asks if she did something wrong. Ridge says she didn't, but he has to get going. Brooke tells him that he doesn't have to take the album, but he tells her that he wants to. "Keep in touch?" she asks. Ridge reminds her that they'll see each other at work. ""Just like the old days," Brooke says before commenting that maybe it won't be that way. Ridge then leaves.

Ashley senses something wrong.
Ridge gets home and finds Ashley in bed, asleep. He puts the photo album down and goes over to give Ashley a kiss. She wakes up and asks what time it is. "Late," he says. Ashley asks how things went with Brooke. He asks if they can talk in the morning. He gets into bed with Ashley, but he doesn't reach out to her and cuddle with her; instead, he just lies there deep in thought as the song "Just Once More" echoes to reflect his mood. Ashley senses something is wrong as she lies there next to him. Meanwhile, back at Brooke's, she sees that a photo of her and Ridge at Puerto Vista fell out of the album. She picks it up and gazes at it.
