Eric and Donna tell Felicia about Stephanie's part in Brooke's rape.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric tells Felicia to keep her feelings to herself about his relationship with Donna. Felicia warns that her mother will soon be back and demands to know what Stephanie did that was so horrible. Donna retorts that what Stephanie did was inhuman, but Felicia bristles at that "unbiased" assessment by someone who hates her mother the way Donna does. Eric warns that Felicia doesn't want to know, but she insists, so he prepares to explain. He points out up front that he hasn't told Thorne about this because Thorne doesn't know what happened to Brooke. Felicia can't believe this is about the never-ending battle between her mother and Brooke, but Donna chimes in that it goes so beyond that feud, because Stephanie crossed the line and did something vile. Felicia demands to know what was so vile, so Eric tells her, "Your mother was involved in Brooke's rape." Felicia is floored and refuses to believe it, so Eric and Donna tell her all about how Stephanie met and talked with Brooke's rapist, Andy Johnson, several times in the days leading up to the rape, including a call from this house to Andy's cell phone right before Brooke's assault. Felicia still won't accept it; she even remembers seeing Brooke on a date in Cafe Russe and calling to tell her mother about it. "It wasn't a date," Donna insists, pointing out that that man was stalking Brooke and even followed her home that very night, using the spare key that Stephanie told him about to get into Brooke's house. "If it weren't for your mother," Donna accuses, "my sister would have never been raped."

Felicia gives Donna a warning.
Felicia tells Eric and Donna to hold on. She agrees that what happened to Brooke was sick, but she is sure her mother didn't intend for Brooke to be raped. She bets her mother didn't even know Andy was violent. And that was the problem, Donna counters; she points out that Stephanie knew nothing about this man other than the fact that she could use him as a pawn to keep Ridge and Brooke apart, and to keep Brooke from getting her kids back. The worst part was that Brooke refused to go to the police because Andy threatened to make her look bad using information about Brooke that Stephanie gave him. Eric adds that Stephanie didn't even have the guts to face Brooke, instead writing a letter to confess her sins to Brooke before taking off for parts unknown. He thinks that speaks volumes about his wife's complicity. Donna hopes Felicia sees now why she shouldn't stand up for Stephanie, but Felicia refuses to be told by the likes of Donna not to stand up for her mother. She doesn't think anything Stephanie did, even this, warrants Donna seducing first Thorne and now Eric for revenge. Eric says that's not what's happening. In fact, they all owe Donna for her help in getting Forrester Creations back. Felicia says she doesn't owe Donna anything and warns Donna to stay away from Eric and this house, because if Felicia sees her here again... "What are you going to do, Felicia?" Donna boldly asks. Giving Donna a shove, Felicia warns, ""Trust me, cupcake, it won't be pretty. You do not want to mess with me." Felicia storms out, leaving Eric to comfort a sobbing Donna.

Bridget prepares to find out whose egg was implanted in Taylor.
At the hospital, Dr. Caron and Bridget take the baby from Nick and Taylor so they can draw some blood for routine testing. Once they're done, Dr. Caron offers to take the baby, but Nick and Taylor ask for five more minutes with their son. The doctor agrees, so Bridget agrees to take the blood sample to the lab. As Bridget heads out the door, Nick tells Taylor that he's going out to give an update to his mom, Thomas and Phoebe. Once he gets out the door, he corners Bridget and asks about the blood sample. Bridget confirms that she's going to use the sample to match it against her mother's D.N.A. in the computer, so they can find out if the egg came from her mom or from the anonymous donor.

Jackie holds her grandson.
Nick then proceeds to give Jackie, Thomas and Phoebe the latest news about the baby. After he assures them all that the baby is perfectly healthy, he offers to take them in to see the littlest Marone. Jackie and the kids eagerly follow him into the room, and Jackie is immediately charmed by her new grandson. Thomas tells Nick and Taylor that he spoke to his father and to Brooke, who told him that everyone is really worried. Nick and Taylor ask Thomas to pass the news along to everyone that the baby's fine. Jackie senses that it's time for her to give her little grandson back to his mommy now and hands the baby back to Taylor, who asks if Jackie can collect some of the baby clothes that she got as shower gifts and bring them. Jackie offers to do that and to go to the Marone mansion to set up the nursery, and she enlists the kids' help in doing that, so she, Thomas and Phoebe say their goodbyes and leave.

Dr. Caron has bad news for the Marones.
Once Jackie and the kids leave, Dr. Caron comes back in and admonishes about not having any more visitors. Taylor insists that she's not tired, but the doctor explains that they got the initial lab results back and there's a serious problem. She explains that the baby has a genetic disorder called Severe combined immunodeficiency, also known as SCID or as 'The "Boy in the Bubble" Syndrome.' She informs the proud parents that their baby was born without much of an immune system because of this serious condition, so even the slightest germ or infection can be fatal to the child. Fortunately, they caught it before the baby could get exposed to anything, so they have time to treat it with a bone marrow transplant from one of the parents. Sobbing, Taylor realizes that she can't be a donor, since she's not the natural mother, but Nick readily offers to be the donor as the boy's father. Dr. Caron tells Nick they'll have to screen him first, since any viruses or infections in his system could be fatal to the baby.

Taylor doesn't want to be separated from her son.
Nick insists on being tested now, since he doesn't want to put his son at risk, but he asks what will happen if his marrow's no good. Then they'll have to contact the egg donor and see if she'll cooperate, Dr. Caron explains. Fortunately, Nick points out, the donor agreement had a clause allowing them to contact the donor if the baby's health is at risk, so he asks the doctor to work contacting the donor. The doctor says she'll do her best, but for now, they'll have to isolate the baby in a sterile environment. Taylor doesn't want to be separated from her son, but Nick tells her that they have to do this.

Nick tries to reassure Taylor.
As he hold his crying wife, Nick tries to assure her that it's going to be all right. Taylor weeps about this twist of fate, worrying about what will happen if Nick isn't a match and the donor refuses to help. "We are gonna do everything we can and do our best for our son," Nick promises.

Egg donor Ann Lloyd learns of the baby's plight.
Dr. Caron goes back to her office where the information on the egg donor is waiting for her. After confirming with the legal department that they have permission to make contact, the doctor calls the donor, a woman named Ann Lloyd from Riverside, on Ann's cell phone. When Ms. Lloyd picks up, she's a bit confused, because she doesn't know who Dr. Caron is. The doctor tells Ms. Lloyd that she's the doctor for the woman who had Ann's egg implanted as part of an IVF procedure and explains about the situation with the baby's health. She tells the donor that the baby's best chance at survival requires a bone marrow transplant from one of the parents, which makes Ms. Lloyd the best candidate if the father isn't a compatible match. "Will you help us?" she pleads.

Carl tells Bridget that the test results are in.
Bridget gets to the fertility lab to do the test and finds Carl waiting. She asks him to leave, but he tells her that he's waited for months for the results of this test. Bridget reluctantly waits and enters the information for the test into the computer. While the computer does it's work, Carl anxiously hovers over Bridget in anticipation of the results. Bridget tells him to step making her even more nervous and asks him to make himself useful by checking the halls to make sure no one comes in. Carl notes what a wreck she is; Bridget asks how she can not be a wreck when so many lives are at stake. She checks to see if the results are ready, hoping to find out if her mother's eggs were implanted in Taylor. Before she can look, a lab tech comes in, so Carl grabs Bridget, pulls her close and kisses her! Sorry for interrupting, the lab tech quickly leaves. After pulling away from Carl, Bridget warns that she'll slug him if he does that again. Carl points out that it got rid of the tech and suggests they get back to waiting for the results. While they wait, Bridget frets how this could happen to Taylor of all people, and how Nick might have his happiness shattered if the child he wanted so badly turns out to be Brooke's. "So many lives will be affected," she laments. Just then, the computer pings that the results are in. Bridget can't bring herself to look, so she asks Carl to tell her what it says.
