Katie seems distracted when she talks to Eric.
In the Forrester showroom, Stephanie is shot. Meanwhile, Eric looks for Donna backstage and hears a loud bang. Looking around, Eric sees Katie, who is wiping her hands off, and asks if she heard that noise. Nervously hiding the paper towels in her hand behind her back, Katie says that she didn't hear anything. Eric sees that Katie seems distracted and asks if she's OK. Katie snaps back that she's fine and walks away.

Elsewhere in the building, Storm calls the police to file a complaint against Stephanie so he can get a restraining order. As the young detective on the phone takes down the facts, Storm asks why this is taking so long, since they've been on the phone for ten minutes. The detective apologizes, but Storm is clearly frustrated by the delays. After giving the information, Storm insists that the charges get filed today and hangs up. Storm then hears a crash from Brooke's office; he goes in and finds Brooke upset over Stephanie's latest stunt. Storm tells her that he called the police, but Brooke fears Stephanie will just ignore a restraining order and keep doing whatever she wants. "That's why I did what I did," she claims. Storm asks what she did. Brooke seethes that Stephanie has moved past just hurting her to ruin Donna's life, too, and she doesn't know how to make it up to Donna short of... She pauses mid-sentence and frets that this whole thing is one big, bloody mess.

Donna is stunned to see that Stephanie has been shot.
Donna enters the showroom and sees Stephanie lying face down on the ground. Donna calls out Stephanie's name and turns her over, and she gasps when she sees that Stephanie is covered in blood! Stephanie's eyes blink, and she comes to long enough to see Donna's face before passing out again. Eric comes in to check out the noise he heard and is stunned when he sees Stephanie lying on the floor. Rushing to Stephanie's side, he asks Donna what she did. Her hands covered with blood, Donna sobs that she didn't shoot Stephanie. She explains that she heard a noise and came in to find Stephanie lying on the ground. Eric takes out his cell phone and calls security, instructing the guard to call for an ambulance. Once the guard confirms that the ambulance is on its way, Eric tells the guard to lock down the building so no one can leave. Ending the call, Eric tells Stephanie that she's going to be fine.

Jackie tells Clarke that she did it, but she won't say what she did.
Just as the guard hangs up on Eric, the elevator door opens and Jackie comes out, clutching a black bag tightly in her arms. The guard calls out to Jackie and asks her to wait, but Jackie bolts for the door and gets out before the guard can stop her. Jackie heads back to Spectra and anxiously races past Clarke, who wants to know if Nick let big Mama Forrester have it for being on that runway with Eric. Jackie proudly tells Clarke that she did it, even though she didn't think she could. Clarke asks what she did, but Jackie will only say that no one messes with her, especially not "Stephanie, bloody Forrester." Jackie then starts to pack her bags. When Clarke asks how long she'll be gone, Jackie curtly answers that she hasn't the foggiest notion.

Brooke and Storm learn that Stephanie has been shot.
Storm and Brooke enter the showroom and are shocked when they see Donna kneeling over Stephanie's blood-stained body. Eric tells them that Stephanie was shot and assures them that Donna's not to blame. Donna tells Brooke and Storm how she thought Stephanie had fainted until she turned the body over and saw the blood. Nick comes in, angry that he's not allowed to leave the building, and asks what's going on. Storm explains that Stephanie's been shot as Eric wonders what's keeping that ambulance. No one notices Stephen peeking out from behind a curtain.

Eric comforts Felicia and Thorne.
With Ridge out of the building doing a post-show interview, Thorne and Felicia wait in Eric's office, discussing their father's inability to understand why they locked Donna in the steam room. Jake comes in to tell them to get to the showroom ASAP, because their mother has been shot. The siblings race to the showroom and panic when they see their mother lying on the showroom floor. Eric assures them that their mother is alive, but Felicia calls out to her mother and prays for Stephanie to open her eyes. Thorne asks how this happened and wonders who found his mother. "I did," Donna replies. Seeing the blood on Donna's hands, an enraged Felicia lashes out and attacks Donna, who cries out that she didn't do it. Storm and Nick step in to pull Felicia away from Donna just as Jake leads the paramedics in. After getting some information from Eric, the paramedics prepare to take Stephanie to the hospital.

Nick asks if Lt. Baker is accusing him of anything.
As Lt. Baker comes in with the Crime Scene Investigators, Donna swears to Storm that she didn't shoot Stephanie. Stephen comes in and tells Donna that they know she didn't, but it's just like a Forrester to point fingers, especially at a Logan. Storm and Brooke ask Stephen where he's been, inquiring if he's seen Katie. Stephen insists that he wasn't with Katie. Storm asks his dad if he had anything to do with the shooting. Lt. Baker would like to hear the answer to that, too, and notes that Nick doesn't look too upset, although that's not surprising given Nick's history with Stephanie. "Are you accusing me of something?" Nick asks Baker, who points out that he's not accusing anyone until they've taken statements from everyone here and tested them for gunshot residue.

Stephen claims that no one in his family shot Stephanie.
Wanting to get home to his wife and son, Nick volunteers to be tested first, confident that the cops will come up empty. Baker hopes the others will be as cooperative, especially Mr. Logan. Storm asks if that refers to him or his dad. Baker admits he's surprised to see Stephen back in town, especially given the bad blood between the Forresters and the Logans. Stephen admits that he hated Stephanie, but that doesn't mean he shot her. Lt. Baker agrees, but he puts forth that Stephen could be protecting one of his children, like the one with the victim's blood on her hands. Once his statement is done and his hands have been swabbed, Nick is allowed to leave. Lt. Baker asks who's next. Stephen tells "Columbo" that he and his kids are leaving, because none of them shot anyone. Storm steps in and tells his dad that the best way to end this quickly is to cooperate with the lieutenant. Donna and Brooke agree with Storm, since they have nothing to hide.

Lt. Baker gets information from his son, Detective Charlie Baker.
The young detective who took Storm's statement earlier comes over and tells Lt. Baker that they're looking for the gun right now. He then calls Lt. Baker "Pop" and indicates that there's one more thing to add. Brooke gathers from the reference that this is Lt. Baker's son. Lt. Baker confirms it is and tells his son Charles to go ahead. Charlie tells him about the complaint Storm filed earlier against Stephanie, based on Stephanie locking Donna in the steam room. Lt. Baker wants details, so Brooke and Donna explain how Donna got upset after Stephanie's kids locked her in the steam room to help their mother. Charlie asks Donna if she was upset enough to shoot the lady. Stephen insists that Stephanie got what she deserved. Storm tells his dad to cool down and assures the Bakers that he and his family have nothing to hide, including his father, so he's confident that the Logan family will be cleared. Lt. Baker thinks the investigation will go quickly once Stephanie wakes up and tells them who shot her. "If she saw who shot her," Stephen points out.

Bridget asks her dad to wait while Stephanie is examined.
Bridget is in the Emergency Room when Stephanie is wheeled in. As an ER doctor, Dr. Brauer, examines Stephanie, Bridget rushes over to Eric and asks what happened. Eric explains and insists on remaining with Stephanie, but Bridget asks him to wait while she checks with Stephanie's doctor. Thorne and Felicia run in and ask if there's any news. Eric directs them to the exam room where Stephanie lies; they peek through the window and watch Bridget talking with the doctors, but a nurse pulls the blinds shut so the doctors can work. While Eric and Felicia anxiously wait, Thorne leaves a message on Ridge's cell phone. Bridget comes out and reports that Stephanie is still unconscious, but she is stable enough to be taken into surgery so the bullet can be removed. Bridget is called to tend to one of her patients, so she excuses herself and says she'll be back. Thorne and Felicia go into the exam room, followed by Eric. The kids tell their mother that they're there with Eric, and they're not going anywhere. Felicia tells her mom that the whole family needs her. The three Forresters rally together, praying for Stephanie to hang on. Dr. Brauer comes in to take Stephanie to surgery, but Eric has something to say to his wife first. "Don't let everything you and I had together end like this," he pleads.

Stephanie starts to stir.
Felicia then sees Stephanie's eyes open. Dr. Brauer tells Stephanie that they're taking her to surgery, but Eric, Thorne and Felicia see Stephanie's mouth open and guess that Stephanie is trying to tell them who shot her. "Who shot you?" Eric asks his barely conscious wife.
