Charlie Baker shows his dad his suspect list.
At the Police Station, Detective Charlie Baker shows his dad a chart he made of all the possible suspects in Stephanie's shooting, including color coded pins showing where each suspect was at the time. Lt. Baker peruses the pins for the Logan family and notes that Donna was outside the showroom while Katie was in the ladies' room, but he doesn't see pins for Stephen or Storm. Charlie explains that he took Storm's complaint against Stephanie at the time the gun was fired, so Storm couldn't be the shooter, while Stephen just wouldn't say where he was at the time. What about Brooke? Lt. Baker asks. Charlie reveals that Brooke gave a vague answer that she was in the building talking to the press. Lt. Baker and his son agree that all the Logans had motive to shoot Stephanie due to Brooke and Stephen's history with the Forresters, but Charlie bets that either Stephen or Donna was the shooter. In Donna's case, Charlie surmises that Ms. Logan wanted to get even with Stephanie after Stephanie had her locked in the steam room, although the younger Baker still can't understand why Stephanie did that. Lt. Baker speculates that Stephanie wanted to get even since Donna stole Stephanie's husband Eric.

Lt. Baker gives some input to his son.
Lt. Baker sees Jackie's photo on the chart; he admits there's been bad blood between Jackie and Stephanie ever since Jackie fell off Stephanie's balcony and claimed that Stephanie pushed her, but he's not sure if that qualifies Mrs. Marone as a suspect. Charlie discloses that Jackie was seen bolting out of the Forrester building just as the guards locked the building down, and she then took a one way flight to London without checking any baggage or telling anyone how to reach her. Lt. Baker praises his son for that bit of police work and states that he's been doing some digging of his own, and he wants to add Nick Marone to the suspect list. Charlie asks how Nick and Stephanie were connected; Lt. Baker expounds that Nick sold Forrester Creations back to Eric under the condition that Stephanie not be a part of it, yet there she was, by Eric's side on the runway. On top of that, Stephanie was willing to let Nick take the fall for Shane McGrath's death, and there was ill will between the two back when Nick was married to Brooke Logan. Charlie gets a call that the ballistics report is ready, so he gets the report and confirms that the bullet removed from Stephanie came from a 22 caliber revolver. Now they only need to find the gun, Lt. Baker states. Lt. Baker then gets a call that Stephanie is awake, so he and Charlie head for the hospital to question her.

Pam shows up in Eric's office.
Eric calls Ridge, Thorne and Felicia to his office so he can update them on Stephanie's condition. The siblings aren't surprised when Eric tells them that Stephanie named Donna as her shooter. Felicia asks her dad if he called Lt. Baker yet. Eric says he didn't and doesn't even intend to, since he thinks Stephanie was confused when she accused Donna. The progeny ask how he can be so sure; Eric explains that Donna insisted that she didn't shoot Stephanie, and he believes her. Just as Felicia asks Eric why he can't see that Donna is playing him, Donna comes in and puts forth that she didn't shoot Stephanie, no matter what Stephanie says. In fact, she suggests that Eric's kids stop trying to tar and feather her and instead consider that Stephanie's real shooter is still out there. Felicia proposes that Donna had the most to gain from Stephanie being out of the picture, but Donna counters that Nick and Jackie both had motives and were in the building just before the shooting. After Ridge leaves to call Lt. Baker, Donna adds that Stephanie's nutty sister Pam is in town and could be a suspect. Right on cue, Pam comes in with lemon bars that she made for Eric and the children this morning. Pam offers Eric a piece with plain graham cracker crust, just the way he likes it; once Donna suggests that he not eat that because it could be laced with something, Eric puts the piece back on the plate and says he'll have his later.

Felicia and Thorne confront Donna.
Felicia asks her aunt why they didn't see her at the fashion show if that's why she came to town. Pam explains that her name wasn't on the list, which Eric says was an unfortunate oversight. Pam states that she decided to stay once she heard about the shooting and invites Thorne and Felicia over for dinner, since she's making one of Eric's favorites. Hemlock surprise? Donna quips. Pam ignores the remark and tells Eric's kids that she can't wait for them to meet her sweet little puppy Tiny. Once Pam leaves, Donna tells Eric how Pam sicked that "sweet puppy" on her last night as she left the house. She sees something wrong with the way Pam just waltzed in to play wifey after her sister was just shot. Thorne and Felicia tell Donna not to accuse their aunt. Eric tries to calm things down by sending Donna down to the showroom. Donna agrees to leave as long as he tells his kids that she didn't shoot Stephanie. After Donna leaves, Felicia and Thorne insist that Eric end things with Donna, because she's clearly out of line with her accusations, but Eric stands firm that he believes Donna. Thorne doesn't want to hear this and storms out, but Felicia stays and points out how close they came to losing Stephanie. She begs her dad to give up on "Miss July" and come back to the family, because they all need him, especially Stephanie.

Donna asks Eric if he still loves her.
After Felicia leaves, Donna returns and finds Eric standing by the stained glass windows in his office, thinking. Putting her hand on his shoulder, she tells him that she needs to know that he still loves her and asks if his feelings have changed. Eric says that he still loves her, but he feels like he needs to focus on helping Stephanie recover from the shooting. Donna sighs that she understands. Eric tells her that he believes that she's innocent, but he can't say the same about her hotheaded father. Donna insists that Stephen couldn't do something like that, but Eric reminds her that her dad had a vendetta against Stephanie for years, even before he found out what Stephanie allowed to happen to Brooke recently. Donna can't believe that her dad could shoot anyone. Eric suggests they let the police investigate and be prepared for whatever they might find.

Bridget is concerned when she catches her mom with a photo of Jack.
Across the hall in Ridge's office, Brooke smiles as she looks at the photo of baby Jack that Nick gave her. Bridget comes in and sees the look on her mother's face, so she asks what Brooke is doing with that photo. Brooke explains that Nick gave her the photo and doesn't see anything wrong with that, but Bridget calls her out on the way she was looking at the photo and accuses her mom of acting defensive. She recalls Brooke's comments last night implying that Taylor was a bad mother and frets about Brooke's preoccupation with baby Jack. Brooke asserts that she's just concerned after hearing about Taylor's decision not to breast-feed the baby, since that makes her wonder what's going on between Taylor and the child. Bridget tells her mother to stop talking that way, as it's no good for anyone for Brooke to become so involved with Nick and Taylor's child. Brooke offers her theories on why Jack might not take to breast feeding, but Bridget stands firm in her support of Taylor's decision. "This is my child, too," Brooke argues, but Bridget retorts that Jack is NOT her child, and she warns that Brooke could lose Ridge if she doesn't stop thinking of Jack that way.

Ridge overhears Bridget and Brooke arguing.
Brooke tells Bridget to stop overreacting, but Bridget reminds her how Ridge feels about Nick. She recalls how Brooke pleaded with Ridge to leave Ashley and come back to her so R.J. could be raised by both his parents and asks Brooke if she's willing to throw all that away over a lab mix-up. Brooke agrees that she doesn't want to lose Ridge, but she can't help but worry that Jack isn't getting the kind of love and attention that she'd want for her child. As Bridget begs Brooke to please let this go, Ridge comes in the door and overhears the argument. Bridget excuses herself so Ridge and Brooke can talk. Brooke starts to explain her concerns about Taylor's decision not to breast-feed, but Ridge thinks he's heard enough to see that Brooke still thinks of Jack as hers.

Brooke makes Ridge a promise.
Brooke tries to change the subject and asks how Stephanie is. Staying on the subject of Jack, Ridge states that he can't help drawing lines in the sand where Nick's child is concerned, because he's fighting for his and Brooke's family. He reminds her how she laid how this whole dream scenario of the two of them raising their kids together and he even broke Ashley's heart to make that happen, all because Brooke insisted she had no more ties to Nick. Brooke insists that they can have that dream life, but Ridge doesn't think that can happen if he has to share her with Nick and his new offspring. Brooke reminds him that she didn't plan to be the mother of Nick's child. Ridge says he knows she didn't plan it, but it happened anyway, and while he hates being an ogre making demands, he doesn't think he can handle having Nick and Taylor's child in his life. He pleads with Brooke not to let this destroy what they have. Sniffling, Brooke whispers that she knows he's right, and she promises not to look at Jack as her child anymore. She doesn't want to lose Ridge, and she looks forward to the two of them getting married once his mother gets better. "I'm not gonna let anything get in our way," she vows, pulling Ridge into a kiss. Ridge responds by embracing Brooke, so he doesn't see her looking over his shoulder at the photo of Jack sitting on the desk.
