Eric chats with Rick about Phoebe and Brooke.

At Forrester Originals, Eric tells Rick that they're still getting questions from the press about Brooke and Ridge's cancelled Rodeo Drive. Rick reminds his dad that Ridge pushed Brooke to the breaking point by hitting him. Eric agrees that Ridge should not have hit Rick, but he wants Rick to try getting along with Ridge, since he doesn't want Rick running off to Paris again. Rick assures Eric that his life his here now. Because of Phoebe, Eric guesses, reminding Rick that a relationship with Phoebe won't be easy. "Like things have been with you, mom, and Stephanie?" Rick counters. Eric just wants Rick to be happy. Rick says he is happy, thanks to Phoebe. Eric agrees that Phoebe is a very special young lady that has that same "it" factor that he saw in Brooke over the years, which is why they've built so much of their new company around Phoebe. He thinks both Phoebe and Brooke both have that enchanting quality that draws people to them. Rick senses from Eric's tone that Eric misses Brooke. More than Stephanie would like to know, Eric admits, lamenting that he was never able to hang onto Brooke when they were together. "You still have Bridget and me," Rick responds. Eric agrees that Rick and his sister have been a blessing to him, and he and Rick hug and exchange "I love you's." Eric adds that Brooke will come back to them some day, like she always does.

Constantine makes Phoebe an offer.

At Insomnia, Phoebe is flattered when Constantine tells her how impressed he was of the video of her and her cousin on the Internet. Phoebe says that she and Rick, who's not her cousin, were just fooling around on karaoke night, but Constantine thinks her singing was really good. Phoebe feels honored to hear that kind of praise from a real recording artist like Constantine, who tells her that he's starting up his own record label to release his new album and is looking for new talent for the label. Phoebe says that Rick's the one who has the classically trained voice, while she just sang a few times with her choir at the mall, but Constantine thinks she has the looks and voice to make it as a serious musician. He can't make any promises until he sees her in the studio, but he thinks she has what it takes to record for his label, Boldface Records. He invites her to bring Rick down to his loft/studio and Hollywood, since he really thinks the whole world needs to hear her amazing voice. Phoebe thanks him and says she'll be in touch.

Phoebe tells Rick about Constantine's offer.

After Constantine leaves, C.J. (who has been milking Constantine's presence by telling patrons that the singer comes in all the time with his buddies) comes over and asks Phoebe what's going on. When Phoebe tells him that Constantine wants her to come to his studio and sing for him, an excited C.J. thinks she should be thanking him now for uploading that video. Rick comes in and asks what all the commotion is about. An elated Phoebe tells Rick about her chat with Constantine and the singer's offer to come to the studio, but Rick doesn't seem to share her enthusiasm. Still, he agrees to think about it, although he jokes to Phoebe, "When you get all big and rich and famous, don't do anything crazy, like shave your head or cover yourself in tattoos."

Lt. Baker hears Nick out.

At the Marone mansion, a skeptical Lt. Baker and Detective Scott listen to Nick's account of what he learned about the last time Shane was seen by anyone at Forrester Originals. Nick tells the cops to talk to Ridge, but Lt. Baker says he'll need some real evidence to look into this further. He admits that he was suspicious of Ridge when Shane's body washed up, but all the evidence he has now points to Nick. He reminds Nick that they can't tell exactly when Shane died because of the decay to the corpse from being under water, so even if Shane was at Forrester Originals that day, it doesn't prove that he died there. Nick tells the detectives about Ridge suddenly breaking his date with Ashely without even calling, which isn't like him, and Taylor adds that she spoke to her good friend Stephanie and thinks she's lying. Detective Scott suggests that Stephanie may have lied to spare Ashley's feelings and doesn't see any conspiracies, but Taylor insists that her ex-husband isn't the type to just break a date without calling. Nick then gets the cops' interest by telling them that Ridge ran off to Paris today, but before they can discuss it further, Nick gets a reminder call from Bridget about Taylor's blood test. Nick tells his wife that they have to go for the test and asks the detectives to please consider what he told them about Ridge. He's sure Ridge set him up and wants the cops to do their job and prove it!

An anxious Nick and Taylor arrive at the hospital.

Nick and Taylor arrive at the hospital, where Bridget draws blood from Taylor. Knowing that Nick and Taylor are anxious to have the results, she takes the blood sample to the lab and asks them to put a rush on it. While Bridget waits, the tech sees the name "Marone" on the vial and tells Bridget that he's been meaning to ask her about the Marone donor eggs. Bridget informs him that they're just waiting to see if those eggs implanted successfully. The tech looks confused, but before he can say anything, Bridget gets paged, so she asks the tech to call her when the results are ready.

Bridget has good news for the Marones.

Nick and Taylor anxiously wait in the exam room for Bridget to return. While they wait, Nick tells Taylor that he really thinks Baker will re-open the case. Taylor doesn't know what upset her more, the idea that Ridge, the father of her kids, could kill someone or the notion that Ridge would let Nick be convicted for the crime. Nick reminds her that Shane could have died by accident, but Taylor doesn't think that would excuse Ridge letting Nick take the rap, or explain why Ridge left for Paris. Nick reminds Taylor that Ridge might not be the only father to her kids soon. Taylor tells him not to jinx this just as Bridget returns with the good news: Taylor is pregnant! She congratulates the mother and father to be, who are both beyond words with excitement over the news.

Jackie makes Brooke an offer.

At Forrester Creations, Jackie is buried with work in Nick's absence. Brooke comes in and sees Jackie swamped with people coming into the office and with phone calls. As the office clears out, Brooke says that she was so sorry to hear about Nick. Jackie tells Brooke that she's in charge with Nick busy trying to clear his name, but she's in over her head, so she needs Brooke's help. She wants Brooke to come back to Forrester Creations. Stunned by the offer, Brooke tearfully tells Jackie that she can't do it. Jackie asks why not; Brooke says it's not a good idea, since she still has feelings for Nick. But now that Nick is married to Taylor, Brooke explains, working here would only remind her of all the mistakes that she made in her marriage to Nick, and of what she and Nick could have accomplished here had they stayed married. She laments that she had the chance to give Nick a child, but she turned him down, and now Taylor is giving him that child. Those mistakes can't be undone, she frets.

Jackie then gets a call from an excited Nick, who tells her that he has good news. Jackie at first thinks he's been cleared, but then he tells her this news is about his other project. Jackie at first asks what he means, but then realizes that he's telling her that Taylor is expecting, and Jackie is going to be a grandmother. Jackie of course is thrilled, but in her excitement, she forgets that Brooke is there, listening. When Jackie gets off the phone, she sees the disappointed look on Brooke's face. Brooke admits that she's very happy for Nick, but she still can't forget that she would do anything to give him a child. But it's Taylor who is giving him that child now, and it's Taylor who is Nick's future. Brooke tearfully leaves.
