At the police station, Lt. Baker tells Detective Scott to light a fire under the forensics team, to see if the shirt they found on Nick's boat has Shane's blood on it. Detective Scott gets right on it.

Rick continues to comfort Phoebe over Shane's death.
Meanwhile, Rick continues to comfort Phoebe over Shane's death. To get her mind off Shane, he shows a brochure he found for a honeymoon village up the coast that reminded him of the honeymoon suite in Sydney. He suggests the two of them drive up there for lunch, get a massage and see what happens next. Phoebe asks if he's talking about sex. If it feels right, Rick replies. Phoebe reminds him of their decision to wait until they're committed to have sex. Rick says that he is committed to her. He doesn't want to pressure her, but he doesn't know how else to prove his commitment after standing up to her dad and his whole family to be with her. Phoebe says she wants to be with him, too, but she needs to know that they'll be together forever before taking that step. Rick asks if that means she wants to get engaged; Phoebe at first says yes, but then says she's too young to get married. Before Rick can react, Phoebe gets a call from Lt. Baker asking her to meet him at the Forrester mansion. Phoebe says she'll be there. She hangs up and tells Rick about the call she just got. Rick asks her to wait a minute and urges her to at least think about going up the coast with him. Phoebe reminds him of the promise they made to each other and says she loves him for making that promise. They say their goodbyes and she heads for the mansion.

Ashley tells Rick that she's interested in Ridge.
Ashley comes in and asks Rick about the tension she senses in the air. Rick's glad to talk about it, since he feels like he needs a distraction. Ashley spots the brochure he showed Phoebe and asks if he's planning a romantic getaway. Rick explains that he wanted to, but Phoebe isn't ready. Ashley doesn't find that odd, since a lot of young people are waiting these days. Rick admits he's been holding off, too, but it's gotten frustrating lately. "Maybe you should have thought of that before you started dating a teenager," Ashley retorts. Rick reminds her that Phoebe is an adult, as she's 18, so he thinks Phoebe should be ready for an adult relationship. Ashley suggests that he respect that Phoebe knows her own mind. She then asks Rick if she can borrow the brochure, since she might need it. Rick asks if she's met someone. Ashley admits that she's interested in a guy and there's a connection, but they're just friends right now. Rick asks if she went on a date with this guy. She says that they planned one, but he canceled it. Rick wonders if that means the guy is not really interested, but Ashley thinks they guy is interested. Rick asks who this guy is. Ashley doesn't think she should, but Rick assures her that he's not asking out of jealousy, since he's already in love with someone. Ashley tells him that the guy is Ridge! Rick is stunned. He gives her some advice, not as her ex-whatever, but as a friend who cares, that it's stupid for her to see Ridge when she can do so much better.

Ridge questions his mother's plan.
At the Bel Air mansion, Stephanie urges Ridge to let Nick take the fall for Shane's death. Ridge thinks he should still confess as he planned, but Stephanie points out that the police would easily think that Nick is their man. "A man that happens to be my brother," Ridge points out. Stephanie reminds Ridge that Nick is only related to him biologically and asks when Nick has ever acted like his brother. She doesn't think Nick deserves any compassion and hopes Mick gets what he deserves. "For something I did?" Ridge asks. Before they can argue the point further, Stephanie gets a call from Lt. Baker, who asks if she knows where Ridge is. When Stephanie tells the cop that Ridge is with her, Baker asks if the two of them can meet him at her house. Stephanie agrees and hangs up. When Stephanie tells Ridge about her conversation with the lieutenant, Ridge is sure that Baker knows.

Jackie frets about the police visit.
In Nick's office at Forrester Creations, Taylor frets that Lt. Baker came here to look around and ask questions. Nick assures her that the police have no evidence to pin Shane's death on him and asks her to go home so he can get back to work. Taylor asks him to please listen to him, because she's dealt with the police. She advises him not to talk to the cops the way he did, since he might agitate Lt. Baker. Nick refuses to be intimidated and tells her not to worry. He sits her down in the chair with him and starts to kiss her when Jackie comes in. She apologizes for interrupting the newlyweds, but she heard Lt. Baker was in the building with a search warrant and wonders what's going on. When Nick tells her of the detective's suspicions, Jackie worries. Nick tells her to relax, but Taylor tells Jackie that she shares her concerns and wishes Nick would lose his attitude about Baker. Storm comes in for a meeting with Nick, who asks the ladies to leave. But before the ladies leave, Nick gets a call from Lt. Baker, who asks Nick to bring Taylor to the Forrester mansion so he can talk to them. Nick is reluctant, but he agrees once Baker threatens to come to Forrester Creations instead. When Jackie and Storm hear about the lieutenant's request, they insist on tagging along.

Bridget assures her dad that she's over Nick.
Bridget is at the Forrester mansion welcoming Eric home from his trip to New York. Eric asks how things are with Brooke. Bridget tells him that her mom is feeling alone right now. Eric thinks being alone might help Brooke decide what she wants, but Bridget argues that her mom knows what she wants, and that's a family and a career. And she had that before she overreacted to Ridge punching Rick, Eric counters. Bridget is surprised that Eric has forgiven Ridge; Eric says he doesn't know if he has, but he, as a dad, understands Ridge's need to protect his daughter and wishes Brooke could see that, too. Bridget asserts that Brooke, as a mother, can't just let go of a man hurting her child, and on top of that, she's depressed over Nick's marrying Taylor. Eric hopes Brooke didn't interrupt the wedding. Bridget explains that Brooke showed up at the chapel and tried to sway Nick, but he still married Taylor and is now trying to have a baby with her through in vitro. Eric asks Bridget how she feels about Nick's marriage and trying to have a child. Bridget says she's happy for Nick and is glad he's getting the chance to have the child he always wanted, since she moved on and is over him. She just wishes her mom could do the same.

Eric asks Stephanie what's going on.
After Bridget leaves, Stephanie comes in with Ridge. Eric asks his wife where she's been and why she didn't answer his calls. She says she's sorry he had to come home to this, but the police are on their way over to talk about Shane McGrath's death. Eric asks what that has to do with them; Stephanie tells Eric that the death happened while he was out of town and is about to tell him that it gets worse, but then Phoebe arrives. Ridge asks his daughter why she's here; she tells him that Lt. Baker asked her to come over. Eric wants to know what's going on here, so Phoebe explains how Shane came back to town and was following her, so her mom got a restraining order. She still can't believe Shane is dead.

Nick and Taylor arrive at Lt. Baker's request.
While Eric tries to comfort Phoebe, Ridge and Stephanie wonder why Lt. Baker would ask Phoebe over. Just then, Lt. Baker and Detective Scott arrive, followed by Nick, Taylor, Jackie and Storm. Baker asks Storm why he's here. Storm reminds the cop that he's Nick's lawyer. Baker asks if there's a reason Nick needs his lawyer. Nick tells the lieutenant to cut to the chase and explain why he called them here. Taylor tries to calm Nick, who insists that Baker get on with his show.

Lt. Baker says he knows who killed Shane.
Baker tells Nick that he'll explain and confirms that he asked them all here because of Shane's death. He explains that he's known the Forresters for a long time, so he wanted to talk to them all here first before the inevitable media circus begins. Stephanie asks the cop if he has any new information. Lt. Baker says that he has better than that, because he knows who killed Shane - and that person is in this room!
