A mystery woman tries to call Rick.

Somewhere, in L.A., a mysterious woman with a great pair of legs tries to call Rick but gets his voice mail. She leaves him a message that a voice from his past is here in L.A. and can't wait to see him. She ends the message by bidding him "Au revoir."

At Forrester Originals, Phoebe sits in on Rick's meeting with Davis and Rita about some ideas Rick has to help boost sales for the new company. After making sure he, Rita and Davis are in sync, Rick asks Phoebe if she has anything to add. When she doesn't, Rick ends the meeting. Once Rita and Davis leave, Phoebe thanks Rick for the chance to learn more about the business; she's especially glad that she had the chance to watch him in action. She moves close, as if to kiss Rick, but he reminds her that they agreed to act like responsible adults and cool it for now. Phoebe frets that they're just doing this to placate her father, but Rick states that they're doing it to prove to everyone that they can be trusted to act like adults. Phoebe thinks she can do that if Rick can.

Felicia and Eric worry about a possible scandal.

Eric, Stephanie, Felicia and Bridget gather in the cutting room to review some new designs for their new collection. They all agree that these latest designs are winners. Felicia can't believe the launch of their boutiques is going so well. Bridget agrees, especially since they're also planning a wedding. Stephanie remarks that the wedding may not happen; Bridget asks what she means. Eric doesn't want to go there, but Stephanie thinks Bridget has a right to know that Rick and Phoebe went up to Big Bear together, and that Ridge was quite upset when he found out that Brooke knew what was going on with their kids and kept it from him. Felicia chimes in that no good will come of Phoebe and Rick seeing each other; even though she's usually open-minded, she draws the line at relatives being together, even if they're not blood-related. She worries about the scandal this could cause, Eric admits he's worried, too, since Rick could be treading on thin ice with a young girl like Phoebe. Stephanie just hopes Rick and Phoebe see the folly of their actions before it's too late, and she also wishes Brooke could see how wrong this relationship is. At the mention of Brooke, Ridge enters and tells his mother that Brooke told him last night that Rick and Phoebe broke it off. Stephanie asks why they should believe Brooke when she's already lied. Ridge thanks his mother for giving him the head's up about Big Bear, but he suggests that she let him handle this now. The matter has been settled and he and Brooke are on the same page, so he's confident that Rick and Phoebe got the message and won't cross the line now.

Bridget hopes Ridge is right about Rick and Phoebe.

Bridget and Felicia hope Ridge is right about Rick and Phoebe, since it will be tough for them to stay apart. Especially if Brooke encourages them, Stephanie states. Eric tells Stephanie to let Ridge handle Brooke, who has to be at the top of her game when she goes to Australia for the opening of their boutique there. Eric then gets a call that Brooke has set up a meeting regarding their new fragrance for later today. Everyone agrees that marketing a signature fragrance can open up new markets for them. Ridge hopes everyone in the family is up to the challenge. Stephanie thinks they are. Ridge is glad to hear that, since he thinks the members of their family have to come together and support each other if their new business is going to succeed.

Brooke offers advice to Phoebe.

Brooke stops by Ridge's office looking for him and finds Phoebe there. Phoebe is annoyed that Brooke withdrew her support of her and Rick's relationship. Brooke argues that it's complicated, but the relationship had to end for the family's sake. Phoebe is sick of hearing that and asks Brooke if she wants Rick to be happy. "Of course," Brooke replies. Then what's the problem? Phoebe asks, wondering why Brooke told Rick to break up with her. She laments, I thought I could count on you to stand up for your beliefs, like my mother would, but you completely sold out so you could get a wedding ring on your finger." Brooke points out that not only does Ridge oppose the relationship, but so does the rest of the family and the press. She fears this could create a scandal while they're opening their new boutique chain. Since Phoebe mentioned Taylor, Brooke wonders if Phoebe has talked to her mom. When Phoebe says she hasn't, Brooke thinks Taylor would agree with Ridge. Phoebe accuses Brooke of caving in to Ridge. Brooke says that she isn't, even though she and Ridge do disagree about some things. She insists that she just wants peace in the family. She understands how Phoebe feels, since she has gone toe to toe with Stephanie so many times over the years. She thinks Ridge just wants to protect his daughter, just like Stephanie wanted to protect her kids. Phoebe doesn't think she needs protection, but Brooke points out that Phoebe is still young and has a lot to learn. She suggests that Phoebe take the time to learn those things, just like Rick did, and then come back to Rick when he's older. Phoebe frets that Rick might meet someone else, but Brooke doesn't think there is anyone else in Rick's life.

Stephanie gives Brooke a warning.

After Phoebe leaves, Stephanie pops in looking for Ridge and finds Brooke there. Stephanie accuses Brooke of again pulling the wool over Ridge's eyes, but she's confident that Brooke will only hurt herself with her sabotaging her relationship with Ridge by lying. Brooke insists that the relationship between Rick and Phoebe is over, although she wonders what is so terrible about her wanting her son to be happy. Stephanie is fine with Rick being happy as long as it's not with Phoebe. She promises to keep her eye on Rick and Phoebe while Brooke is in Australia, since Brooke will be unable to defend those kids while she's away. Brooke suggests that Stephanie use the time while she's Down Under to adjust to the fact that she is marrying Ridge, but Stephanie warns Brooke that her Rodeo Drive wedding isn't a done deal.

Phoebe tells her dad that Rick would never hurt her.

Ridge works in the cutting room fitting one of the models. When he's done, he sends the model off and flashes back to his various recent confrontations with Rick. Phoebe comes in and tries to avoid her father, since she doesn't want to get into another fight. Ridge just wants to talk; he knows he isn't her favorite person right now, and he wishes things were different between them. But when he saw her with Rick at Big Bear... Phoebe reminds him that nothing happened, bit Ridge thinks she wanted something to happen, nonetheless. Phoebe doesn't think it maters, since she and Rick have cooled things off for now, and she bets her dad is thrilled about that. Ridge thinks it's for the best and hopes that she will come to understand that in time. Phoebe argues that she'll wait as long as she has to, because her feelings for Rick won't change. Ridge asks if she can say that an eligible bachelor like Rick feels the same way. Phoebe thinks she can. Ridge points out that guys like Rick don't stay single very long, but Phoebe is sure Rick will never hurt her. She's sure she and Rick will figure things out in time - and if they don't, she thinks it will be her dad's fault, and she doesn't know if she can ever forgive him.

Rick wonders who has been trying to call him.

Rick is in an office making some calls when an assistant, Molly, tells him that there's a woman on the phone for him. Rick asks who it is, but Molly explains that the woman would not give a name, since she hoped to surprise Rick. Rick says he doesn't have the time for this and asks Molly to take a message from this woman. When Molly brings his messages later, Rick asks where the mystery woman's message is. Molly explains that the woman didn't want to leave a name or number. Later, Davis comes by to ask Rick to sign some purchasing agreements. As Rick goes to sign them, he gets a call from the mystery woman, who is glad to have caught up to him. Not recognizing the voice, Rick asks the woman if he can call her back; the woman says she will see him soon.
