Phoebe visits Constantine.
Phoebe shows up at Constantine's studio. She asks if he's still speaking to her. He replies that he'll always want to talk to her, but he can't say the same about Rick after the way Rick behaved here the other day. Phoebe insists that Rick didn't mean to be insulting and was just trying to protect her, but Constantine doesn't think she sees what a jerk Rick really is. Phoebe defends Rick, explaining how they fell in love from the day Rick got back from Paris. Constantine suggests that she's more in love with who she thinks Rick is than the guy Rick really is, and he asks how well she really knows her so-called boyfriend. Phoebe doesn't want to talk about this, because she knows what a great guy Rick is. Constantine suggests to Phoebe that Rick's not so great to her when she's agonizing over her dad, and he bets Rick didn't even tell her what he was doing before he went to his sister's house the other day. Phoebe insists that it was probably business. Constantine then asks Phoebe if Rick even knows where she is. Phoebe states that she left a message for Rick that she was coming here, but he didn't call back. She guesses that Rick must be busy, but Constantine thinks that Rick doesn't see how special she really is. He, however, sees it, and he offers to play a song for her that will help her understand.

Cosntantine rocks in his fantasy video.
Phoebe asks if this song has anything to do with Rick. When Constantine says it does, Phoebe hopes it's not negative, because she thinks Constantine is starting to sound like her dad, and she doesn't need to hear any more criticism of Rick. Constantine promises to keep it positive and play a song he wrote and recorded last night. He even stayed up with "the boys" all night working on it, and he thinks Phoebe will like it, since it shows how special she really is. Promising that Phoebe will be a big star, he queues up the song, which is an up-tempo version of the song he played while Phoebe slept last night. As the song, called "Girl Like You," plays, we get to see a music video of Constantine singing to Phoebe (who's dressed like a pop princess out of some MTV video) as they walk down Hollywood Boulevard taking in the sights. As they look at the stars on the famed "Walk of Fame," they're thrilled to first find a star with Constantine's name, and then one with Phoebe's! The video concludes with the duo riding a double-decker bus past the Kodak theatre, and all through the song, Constantine sings, "All my life, all my life I've been waiting for a girl like you." As the song ends, Phoebe is touched. She asks Constantine if that's how he sees her. Constantine tells her that she's going to be a big star, and the whole world will know it. He's sure they can do some great things together.

Christine and Brooke discuss strategy.
In her office, Taylor flashes back to the day years ago when Ridge admitted to her that he confessed to shooting Grant Chambers to protect Rick. Brooke and Christine arrive with news that Stephanie hired a P.I. to find Shane's car so they can check it out. Brooke sees the look on Taylor's face and asks what's wrong. Taylor explains again how hard it will be to get Rick to remember that he shot Grant. Brooke admits that she's just starting to see how risky this will be and asks Christine if there's another way to avoid the court using Ridge's prior offense against him. Since Grant died of cancer a few years after the shooting, Chris asks if he kept any diaries. Brooke explains that Grant would have destroyed any journals he had to protect Rick, so Christine fears that getting Rick to come forward is their only option. Brooke wishes there was a way they could tell the judge without having Rick go through the trauma of remembering, but Christine informs her that Rick must come forward voluntarily if Ridge is to go free.
At the jailhouse, a shocked Rick refuses to believe Ridge's accusation that he [Rick] shot Grant Chambers. Ridge advises Rick to talk to Taylor, since she'll know to handle this, but Rick won't accept Ridge's claim. He can't believe Ridge would sink so low as to pathetically blame a little kid for a crime Ridge committed. He asks, "What else you want to pin on me? Global warming?" Ridge suggests that Rick leave. Rick agrees and calls for the guard. As he waits for the card, he fumes at all the despicable things Ridge ever did to Brooke and to Nick and states, "I ought to shoot you, but that's the difference between you and me."

Lt. Baker wonders why Ridge would throw away his freedom.
After Rick leaves, the guard comes to take Ridge back to his cell, but Lt. Baker arrives to tell Ridge that he has another visitor, the new "big gun" lawyer who is defending Ridge. While Ridge waits for Christine to arrive, Baker shakes his head at the thought that Ridge had more freedom than all the poor slobs in L.A. and threw it away. Ridge insists that he tried to stop Shane from killing himself, but Baker doesn't want to hear it. He disgustedly spits, "People like you think you're above the law," seething that Ridge first shot Grant Chambers and now killed Shane McGrath, He fumes that Ridge got off for shooting Grant, but he's sure there isn't a jury in the world that will let Ridge escape justice for killing Shane. Ridge again insists that he didn't kill Shane. "And next you'll claim you didn't shoot Chambers, either?" Lt. Baker asks as he turns to leave.

Ridge tells Brooke and Christine that Rick knows the truth.
Brooke and Christine arrive to tell Ridge that Stephanie is looking for Shane's car. Chris hopes they can find proof that Shane was suicidal in the car. Brooke tells Ridge that Taylor is meeting with Rick right now, but Ridge frets that it's probably too late for that. Brooke urges him to let Christine and Taylor do their jobs, but mopes that he needs a miracle, since Rick already knows who shot Grant. Brooke and Christine ask what he means, so Ridge solemnly tells them that he and Rick argued when Rick visited earlier, and he blurted out in the heat of their quarrel that Rick shot Grant. Shocked, Brooke asks if he knows what he did. Ridge concedes that he messed up; he laments that he lost it when Rick got in his face and let the truth slip out. Brooke can't believe that he let that slip after keeping it secret for all these years. Christine is more concerned with how Rick learning the truth this way will affect their strategy. Brooke guesses that depends on how Rick too the news. "Not very well," Ridge regretfully admits.

Taylor tries to talk to Rick.
Meanwhile, Rick arrives at Taylor's office, having been asked by the doc to come over. Rick asks if she spoke to Bridget. Taylor says that she did, and she thinks she and Bridget cleared the air. She admits that she failed to consider how hard it was for Bridget to be involved in her pregnancy because of Bridget's history with Nick, but she's glad that Bridget was gracious enough to want to continue as her doctor until the baby is born. Taylor then asks Rick to sit down and talk with her. Rick's more than happy to talk, as long as Taylor isn't thinking of calling him a murderer. Taylor is taken aback by that comment, so Rick explains that he just went to visit the jailhouse, where Ridge accused him of shooting Grant Chambers. He can't believe Ridge is so desperate that he thinks anyone would believe such a preposterous story and suggests that Ridge needs medical help to deal with his delusions. He was especially stunned that Ridge told him to talk to his mother and Taylor to confirm it, all so Ridge can slip past justice and avoid a murder charge.

Rick is surprised that Taylor believes he shot Grant.
Taylor tells Rick that she didn't want it to happen this way, but they need to set the record straight. Rick asks what there is to set straight and accuses Ridge of getting Taylor to believe this crazy notion about who shot Grant. Taylor tries to explain that she had hoped to have time to prepare him and break down the defenses the mind sets up sometimes when something traumatic happens. When that happens, she advises, a person might repress a memory for days, weeks or even years, if the person even remembers at all. Rick asks what she's saying. When Taylor doesn't respond, he asks her to please tell him that she doesn't believe this garbage, because he didn't shoot Grant Chambers!
