Phoebe apologizes to Rick.
In Ridge's office, Phoebe apologizes to Rick for treating him unfairly. Rick understands that she didn't want to think the worst of her dad, but Phoebe doesn't think that excuses the things she said. She sees now that she was wrong to break up with him, and she tells him that she loves and needs him. Rick promises that he's not going anywhere. Phoebe is glad to hear that. She knows now that he would never hurt her, so she doesn't see any need to dwell anymore on their break-up anymore. Rick responds by kissing her. "Nothing can break us up," Phoebe declares. Rick agrees.

Rick tells Ashley about his re-commitment to Phoebe.
Later, Rick drops by Ashley's beach house. He finds her alone, since Abby is on her way to Genoa City to visit her dad. Ashley asks how Phoebe is; when Rick tells her how broken up Phoebe is over her dad's confession, Ashley asks him if Phoebe wants him back. Rick replies that Phoebe needs him, because she's so scared about her father, so he promised to stay true to her. He wants Ashley to know that he still fondly thinks about what they shared in Mexico, but he intends to keep his promise to Phoebe. Ashley understands; she still feels the connection they had in Mexico and she thinks he feels it too, but that's in the past now, and she's OK with that.

Ashley bids Rick "au revoir."
Rick tells Ashley that he's sorry, but he and Phoebe made a commitment to each other. Ashley reminds him that the two of them wound up together in Mexico because of Phoebe's mistakes. Rick recalls that it took a year to get over what he and Ashley shared in Paris, and he fears he'll have to go through that again now. Ashley assures him that she understands and promises that he's free to leave. Rick turns to leave, but he turns around and kisses Ashley, telling her that the lip-lock was a goodbye kiss. "Goodbye then," Ashley responds. Rick tells her that he's leaving. "For now," Ashley qualifies. Rick again tells her that he's sorry that it has to be this way. Ashley tells him, "Au revoir then." Rick gives her one last kiss and then leaves.

Brooke offers Ridge her support.
Brooke visits Ridge in jail. Ridge bets she's here to let him have it for what he did. Brooke admits that she hates how he let Nick take the blame for his crime, but she knows that his mother had something to do with that. Ridge reminds her that he's the one who dumped Shane's body in the bay, so he's the one who has to pay for his actions. Brooke says that she's here to support him, not to lecture him. Even though they're not married anymore, she still cares about him, and he's still the father of her youngest child. Ridge asks her to promise to take care of R.J. Brooke says that R.J. needs his father, which is why she intends to get Ridge through this any way she can. Ridge doesn't think he deserves this show of support, but Brooke says he has it, and she vows to help him beat the charges. Ridge doesn't see how she can do that, since he's sure the D.A. will jump at the chance to pin a murder one charge on a Forrester. Brooke reminds him that he didn't murder Shane, and she's sure a good lawyer can help him prove that. Even if that happens, Ridge points out, he'll still do prison time because of his past record. A record he only has because of what happened with Rick and Grant Chambers, Brooke qualifies.

Ridge is grateful for Brooke's support.
Ridge assures Brooke that he never meant to frame Nick, even though he used Nick's boat to dump Shane's body. Brooke asks why he didn't come forward once Nick was arrested. Ridge admits that he should have gone to the police, but... But his mother talked him out of it, Brooke points out. She agrees that he made a mistake, but she thinks that can still be fixed. Ridge however isn't as sure. Brooke tells him that it's never too late. Ridge laments that he had so many chances to do the right thing, but instead he just dug himself in deeper, and now the police and the D.A. will be out for his blood once they get him in the courtroom. Brooke tells him not to talk like that, because he's not a killer. He's just a man who got lost after he panicked because of what he once did to protect her son. She can't think of anything more selfless than the way he took the blame for Grant's shooting, which is why she intends to do anything in her power to see him go free. Ridge remarks that he protected Rick because it was the right thing to do. Brooke thinks that shows what kind of a man he is, and she thinks they can show that to the jury to make them understand his actions. Ridge thinks it's ironic that she calls him a hero for protecting HER son, but he lost her when he tried to protect HIS daughter. Brooke doesn't think he should compare the two, because his hitting Rick doesn't change the fact that R.J. needs his father in his life. That's why she wants Ridge to let her help him fight back. She still believes there's a chance, and she wants him to believe it, too.

Nick shows Taylor his new fashion idea.
At the Marone mansion, Nick finds Taylor wrapping up a phone call with Thomas. As she hangs up, Nick asks her how her son is. She replies that Thomas is worried about Ridge, so he and Steffy both want to come back from Europe, but she told them to stay there for now. Even though he cares about Taylor's kids, Nick doesn't see anything more to discuss about what Ridge did, so he suggests that he and Taylor focus on their baby. He takes out some designs for maternity clothes that he had Clarke whip up as part of a new high-end fashion line for expectant mothers. He explains that he even came up with a slogan: "Just because you're as big as house, doesn't mean you have to look like one." Nick is enthused about this, but Taylor isn't too thrilled, especially by the slogan. She likes the designs, but she doesn't see maternity clothes setting the Milan runways on fire. She asks Nick what happened to her husband, the cutthroat business man. Nick answers that he traded business for her belly. Taylor likes that answer, but she's suddenly overcome by a wave of nausea and runs for the bathroom.

Taylor sits with Nick and thinks about their baby.
After returning from her "ride on the porcelain bus," Taylor laments her sudden attack of morning sickness. Nick takes the nausea as a sign that her hormones are kicking in, but Taylor doesn't remember being this sick with Thomas or the twins. Nick asks if it's the in-vitro, but Taylor laughs that it might be the father. Nick suggests they not go there. He takes her on the terrace where they sit down. Nick holds Taylor close and thanks her for going through this arduous in-vitro process so she can give him the child he always wanted. He's grateful that she would go through all these physical changes and mood swings for him. Taylor admits that she doesn't mind all these changes in her body and her emotions, because the only thing that matters is that the baby she's carrying is hers and Nick's, no matter who donated the eggs. "It's our baby," she repeats.

Bridget makes a shocking discovery.
At the hospital, Dr. Caron tells Bridget that the records have been updated to show Brooke's name as Logan instead of Marone. Bridget looks at Brooke's medical charts and sees something odd. Dr. Caron asks what's wrong; Bridget explains that she had arranged for the eggs that were harvested from her mom to be donated to Dr. Kumar's fertility research project, but the file shows that Brooke's eggs were transferred to the fertility lab here instead. Dr. Caron takes a look and agrees that it is a bit odd, especially since Brooke's eggs were transferred about a month ago. Something about the date of the egg transfer rings a bell for Bridget, who pulls out Taylor's file and sees that her mom's eggs were sent to the fertility lab on the same day that Taylor's donor eggs were fertilized. Dr. Caron points out that it could be a coincidence and goes to check. When she returns, the doctor tells Bridget that she talked to the lab techs, who assumed when Bridget called for the Marone eggs that she wanted her mother's eggs, so they sent Brooke's eggs to the lab. She thinks it was an honest mistake, since both Brooke's eggs and the donor eggs were labeled "Marone." "So my mother's eggs were in the fertility lab at the same time that Taylor's donor's were fertilized?" Bridget gasps. Yes, Dr. Caron explains, although she adds that the donor eggs were also in the lab at Dr. Kimbrough's request. With a horrified look on her face, Bridget cries out, "Oh, dear God. Are you telling me that I might have implanted Taylor with my mother's eggs?"
