Stephanie reassures Captain Kramer.
|
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge and Stephanie prepare to execute their grand plan to get the company back. Ridge confirms that Rita (the lady from the sewing room who ran into Taylor a few weeks ago) and Davis (the guy who Nick promoted after firing Luigi) are on board, and Thorne is over at Forrester getting ready. Stephanie shows Ridge an article trumpeting the first show for the new regime at Forrester, suggesting that the "new: Forrester has left Eric dead in the water. Stephanie explains that Eric read that and took off for a drive on the coast. Ridge can't believe that this is happening; he knows Taylor and Eric will both be upset, but he thinks this proves why they have to get the company back. Stephanie agrees that Eric will be upset at first, but she thinks he'll cool down once he's running Forrester again. She also thinks Taylor will understand what they've done. She's eager to see the pans of those two S.O.B.s, Nick and Jackie, fall apart. Captain Kramer arrives in a full white dress uniform. He still can't believe that Jackie wants to see him. Stephanie assures him that everything will be fine and leads him to the car. She asks Ridge if he's coming; he says he'll meet them there in a while. Stephanie advises him not to be late, since she doesn't want him to miss the show.

Taylor is horrified by hwat Ridge tells her.
|
Before Ridge can leave, Taylor arrives. Ridge is surprised, since Thorne told him that Taylor was in Santa Barbara at a conference. Taylor explains that they wrapped up early, so she came home to cheer Eric up. Ridge tells her Eric isn't here. Taylor senses the hesitation in Ridge's voice and asks what's going on. Ridge tells her that he knows about Jackie taking money for sex. Taylor realizes that Stephanie must have told him and asks where the Forrester matriarch is; when Ridge won't tell her, she asks how he could do this to her. Ridge alleges that Nick broke his word, but Taylor tells him that things like this take time. She asks if it matters to anyone how this will affect Nick and Jackie, or what this could do to her career. Ridge responds that Nick stole their company, and then the bastard declared war on them. Taylor guesses that Stephanie is at the fashion show; horrified at what might be happening as they speak, she bolts out!
Backstage at Forrester, Nick and Jackie give Clarke some last minute reminders about what they want to see. Snooty Marone board member George comes backstage and is underwhelmed by the lack of organization. Nick comments that things will be more orderly on stage. George hopes so, because the Marone board is eager to see that Forrester can be an asset to Marone Industries, in line with their company's conservative values. Nick quips that George should stop being so morbid when he's among such beautiful women; he tells George to enjoy the show. Nick then approaches Jackie and startles her. Nick apologizes and asks if the rough week they went through is over. Jackie asks if he's forgiven her. He tells her that the past is the past, and this is their future together.

Jarrett and Danica want answers from the Marones.
|
Smarmy reporter Jarrett and his colleague Danica try to corner Nick backstage, so he brings them over to Clarke and the models. Jarrett and Danica, however, would rather talk about how Nick and Jackie came to control Forrester Creations, since they could never see Eric selling the company, Nick doesn't want to talk about the Forresters today, since today is about his and his mother's vision for the company. Jarrett asks why there was such secrecy around the sale. Nick and Jackie assure the reporters that they are in charge and have a firm handle on the company's direction. Jarrett and Danica point out how different things are without Eric or Brooke here. Nick tells them that Donna has filled her sister's heels, while his mother is running the show. He's sure today will be a day to remember, thanks to Jackie.

The Marone board members attend the showing.
|
George joins fellow board members Vijay and Suzanne. Suzanne thinks everything looks glamorous. George sees nothing but chaos, although Nick assures him everything was fine. They all agree that what's most important is their bottom line, but George fears the only bottoms they see today will be the ones that make their shareholders nervous. "There better not be any wardrobe malfunctions," he hopes.
Backstage, Nick rallies the troops and thanks them for all their efforts. He knows this has been a difficult transition, but he thinks that together, they've combined the elegance of Forrester Creations with the conservative values of Marone Industries to put on a hell of a show for the world. Donna gathers everyone together for a rousing "Go, Forrester!" and the show gets underway. As Clarke comes on stage to introduce the models, Nick and Jackie take seats in the audience. Jarrett spots them and points out that the Forresters always watched from backstage. "We're not Forresters," Nick quips. Clarke then points out the two people who made today possible, Nick and Jackie. He then promises a showcase of the glamour, elegance and style people expect from Forrester and introduces the Cruise Line. As the first designs hit the runway, Suzanne seems pleased. Nick suggests to George that they have a winner, but George thinks they should wait for the sales reports before predicting any success.

Kramer watches Jackie on the monitors.
|
Stephanie takes Captain Kramer to Ridge's old office, where she introduces the seaman to Thorne. They sit Kramer down in front of a monitor to watch the show. While Kramer watches, Stephanie asks Thorne if they're set. Thorne indicates that Davis and Rita left the door leading backstage from the office open for them. Kramer spots Jackie on the screen and remarks that she's as lively as ever. Yes she is, Stephanie says, muttering under her breath that Jackie is still a tramp - and soon, the while world will know it! David and Rita come over and tell Stephanie how much they want to see the company back in the Forresters' hands; Stephanie thanks them and introduces them to Captain Kramer. Kramer confirms that Jackie doesn't know he's here - that would spoil the surprise, Stephanie points out - and feels nervous, Stephanie is sure he'll feel better once he's catching up on old times with Jackie. Kramer sees Nick on the monitor and notes how Nick has grown into quite a man. He hopes he gets to talk to Nick after all these years. Stephanie promises that Nick will have lots to tell Kramer very soon. She leaves him to go check on something.

Thorne distracts Clarke.
|
Stephanie and Thorne approach Clarke as he sends Donna to get into the final gown. Clarke asks why they're here. Stephanie says she could ask him the same thing. He tells them that Nick and Jackie gave him a job and hopes there are no hard feelings. "None at all," they answer in unison as Thorne sucker punches Clarke and knocks him out. Stephanie compliments her son, who thanks her as they get Clarke out of the way. As Davis helps Donna, Thorne tells the other models that there has been a change of plans. Meanwhile, out on the runway, Nick introduces his mother to the crowd, telling them that Jackie is responsible for the classy, elegant designs they just saw. Hr then tells Jackie that they're all proud of her after her recovery from a near fatal fall. Jackie thanks everyone for coming. They then return to their seats when the music for the finale starts. When they hear that the music they expected has been replaced with a jazzed up version of "What Do You Do With a Drunken Sailor," they wonder what's going on.

Jackie and Nick wonder what's going on.

Ridge and Taylor arrive in the showroom. Seeing that the finale is about to begin, Ridge tells Taylor that it's too late. Backstage, Donna sees Stephanie and wonders what's going on. Before Donna can get any answers, Rita brings over Captain Kramer and tells Donna that the captain will be her escort. Kramer and Donna are both uncertain, but Rita assures them that Jackie wants this. Stephanie advises Kramer to let Donna lead him as he heads for the runway with the lead model. As Kramer and Donna walk down the runway, Jackie and Nick look on. Jackie recognizes Kramer immediately, but Nick does not. Slowly, the memories come flooding back to Nick - and once he realizes who the man on stage is, he leaps up, grabs Kramer's lapels and calls him a bastard! As Jackie tries to stop Nick, Stephanie gets on the loudspeaker and announces, "Ladies and gentlemen, the real showstopper of today's event is the handsome sea captain on the runway, Captain Jerry Kramer. And did you know that Ms. Jackie Marone was his #1 prostitute?" As the audience gasps. Stephanie adds, "That's right, ladies and gentlemen. The new owner of Forrester Creations is nothing more than a common whore." All eyes are on Jackie, who just stares into the camera, shocked.
