Charlie thinks he's found his shooter.
At the police station, Storm waits with an impatient Stephen, who sits handcuffed in Lt. Baker's office waiting for the forensics report on the gun found in Stephen's room. Lt. Baker asks Stephen how the gun got there. Stephen again insists that he's innocent; he admits hating Stephanie, but he proclaims that the didn't fire that gun, so someone must have planted it. Lt. Baker asks who would do that; Storm points out that the cop knows of his family's history with the Forresters and suggests that the Forresters could have sought retribution, Charlie returns with the ballistics report; he reports that the gun found in Stephen's room was wiped clean of prints, but ballistics matched it up with the bullet taken out of Stephanie. "Looks like we got our man, Pops," Charlie says. "No you don't," Stephen insists, guessing that even Lt. Baker has thought about shooting Stephanie at some point. Storm points out that Stephanie had named Donna as the shooter and that the entire Logan family, including himself, had motive to shoot Stephanie. He adds that he could have done it by the cops' criteria, but Lt. Baker says he knows Storm is innocent, since he was on the phone with Charlie at the time swearing out a complaint against Stephanie.

Stephen is booked, despite his pleas of innocence.
Lt. Baker tells Charlie to book Stephen; Stephen says he's innocent, and Storm vows to prove that. Stephen is then booked, fingerprinted and photographed.

Pam points out that Stephanie has many enemies.
Ridge, Pam and Eric visit Stephanie in the hospital. When Stephanie says she's nervous here, even with the guard Eric hired outside, Eric reminds her that he believes Donna is innocent and suggests they look for the real shooter. While knitting, Pam suggests Stephanie list all her enemies, although that could take all night. Eric agrees that they have to widen their search and Ridge agrees. Thinking about who hates her most, Stephanie tells Eric that she still thinks Donna is the shooter and recalls how she and Donna fought in the showroom shortly before the shooting. Ridge agrees Donna had opportunity and motive, but Eric points out that others, like Stephen, had those, too. Stephanie agrees that she fought with Stephen after the shooting, too, and she points out that Brooke's not happy with her lately. Ridge insists that Brooke didn't do it, even when Pam asks if Brooke has an alibi. When considering other suspects, Stephanie asks about Katie, but Ridge doesn't see "little Katie" shooting anyone. Stephanie points out that both Jackie and Nick have reasons to be angry with them; Eric says he called Spectra but Clarke said Jackie Jackie was out of town. Ridge decides to head over to Spectra to have a word with Nick, even though the police already talked to Nick.

Eric wants Stephanie to be comfortable while she recovers.
When Pam steps out to get coffee, Stephanie asks Eric to come close to the bed so she can thank him for letting her come home. She promises to behave while in the house with him, but Eric tells her not to worry, since he plans to check into a hotel while she's recovering. He assures her that she'll have plenty of help around the house with Pam staying over while she gets better. Right now, he thinks the important thing is finding the shooter. Stephanie agrees just as Pam walks back in, upset at seeing Eric and Stephanie sitting so closely while talking.

Katie questions Brooke's faith in their father's innocence.
Brooke shows up at Stephen's hotel room, unable to believe that Stephen was arrested. Donna informs Brooke that Storm went to police station to be with their dad, agreeing that the police must have made a mistake. "How can you be so sure?," Katie asks, reminding her sisters that their dad recently tried to push Stephanie off a balcony. She can easily see their dad using what happened to Donna in the steam room as an excuse to go after Stephanie, but Donna still can't see their dad being that upset that he shot someone. Katie points out that the police found the gun from Brooke's office here, behind a heating vent; if it wasn't their dad, she surmises, it had to be another member of their family, since they all knew where the gun was.
Donna blames herself for Stephen's arrest.
Donna and Brooke both admit they had heated arguments with Stephanie before the shooting, but that doesn't mean they shot her. Katie reminds them that she was in the ladies' room and asks Brooke where she was. Brooke says she was all over the building doing interviews after the fashion show. She laments that their family is now under siege in the wake of this showing. "And it's because of me," Donna sighs, pointing out how she brought their dad back to L.A.
Lt. Baker shows Stephanie the gun they found.
Lt. Baker stops by Stephanie's room and hands her a bag with the gun in it. When Stephanie says it looks like the gun she gave Brooke, Baker tells her that that they found this behind a vent in Stephen's office. Eric says that was careless of Stephen. Stephanie tells Eric that she owes him an apology, as she really thought Donna was the shooter. Eric asks if they arrested Stephen. Baker says Stephen is being booked as they speak.
Clarke questions Nick about the shooting.
In Jackie's office at Spectra, Clarke asks Nick if he's heard from Jackie, since Eric Forrester has been looking for Jackie. After Clarke admits Jackie had motive to shoot Stephanie, Nick tells him to forget it. Clarke asks Nick how he's so sure unless he shot Stephanie. Nick just glares at Clarke, but he later tries to contact Jackie after Clarke leaves.
Ridge wants answers from Nick.
Ridge barges into Nick's office and demands to know where both Nick and Jackie were at the time of the shooting. Nick suggests that Stephanie brought this on herself just by being on that stage, since the deal with Eric was that Stephanie not be part of that company. "That doesn't give somebody the right to put a bullet in her," Ridge retorts, but Nick counters that Stephanie has to pay a price for her sins. Ridge asks if that's Nick's way of saying that he doled out his own brand of justice. Before Nick can answer, Ridge gets a call on his cell phone that Stephen has been arrested for the shooting and is being booked. "The dressmaker's wrong again," Nick quips, telling Ridge to not even bother apologizing.
Stephanie considers that Stephen is telling the truth.
At the police station, Stephen surrenders his personal belongings as Storm promises his dad that he'll get him out on bail tonight. Stephen asks to make his one phone call and proceeds to call Stephanie, who is still talking about Stephen's arrest with Eric and Pam. When Stephanie hears Stephen's voice, she tells him that she hopes they throw away the key. Eric fumes that Stephen would call here, but Stephanie keeps listening as Stephen warns her not to feel safe right now. "I didn't pull that trigger," he insists, reminding Stephanie that his being arrested means that the real shooter is still out there. Someone else did. I don't even know why I'm warning you, but keep your eyes and your ears open. That shooter is still out there somewhere, probably waiting to finish the job. As Stephanie hangs up, Eric asks what Stephen wanted. Stephanie tells Eric what Stephen said and wonders if maybe Stephen was right. She shudders at the thought that the shooter could still be out there as she wonders, "Who really hates me that much that they want to see me dead?"
