Ashley gets some news from Rick.
In the lab at Forrester Originals, Ashley is leaving a message for Ridge when Rick stops by to talk about promotional art for the Phoebe fragrance. Ashley is surprised to see Rick, since she thought he'd be spending time with Phoebe after the big concert. Rick explains that his on-stage reconciliation with Phoebe didn't last, since Phoebe has already dumped him, this time for good. Ashley asks if the break-up had anything to do with her. Rick assures her that it didn't and explains that Phoebe felt like the two of them were in different places in their lives, just like Ashley predicted some time ago. He just wishes he had listened to those warnings. Ashley admits that she's sorry to have been proved right, because she was really starting to believe that Rick and Phoebe belonged together. "Maybe Phoebe will feel the same way in ten years," Rick muses, pointing out that he now has plenty of time to spend on his work.

Rick flashes back to times he spent with Ashley.
Ashley says she can relate, having buried herself in her work that way a few times. Rick asks what she means, but she ducks the question. Rick guesses that Ridge will be happy to hear about the break-up and asks Ashley is she's still seeing Ridge. When Ashley confirms that she is, Rick is glad that at least one of them is still happy. Swinging the discussion back to their work, Ashley asks Rick a question about the fragrance promotion, but Rick can't help but flash back to the time he spent with Ashley in Paris. Seeing the faraway look in Rick's eyes, Ashley asks if he's OK. Rick says that he's just having a hard time focusing on work with everything going on. Ashley is sorry to see him in such a funk. "Not half as sorry as I am," Rick muses.

Thorne gives his mother a choice.
Elsewhere in the building, Stephanie is on the phone discussing some orders when Thorne slips into the office with some reports for Eric. Thorne tries to slip out just as quickly as he came in, but Stephanie stops him and asks him to wait. Thorne tries to excuse himself, as he doesn't want to listen to any more of his mother's bashing Donna. Stephanie promises to make their talk painless, but Thorne doesn't see that happening after the way she barred his fiancee from their family home earlier. Stephanie tries to reason with him; she knows he's been lonely since Darla died, so she can see why he'd be excited by attention from Donna. But at the same time, she doesn't think he loves Donna, especially not in the same way he loved Darla. Thorne tells his mother that what he and Darla shared was a once in a lifetime thing, but Stephanie thinks he can still be happy. Thorne tells her that Donna makes him happy. Stephanie tells him that he has her attention, but he tells her that this isn't about her. It's about the way she made him and his fiancee feel unwelcome in his family's own home. Stephanie tells him that he's always welcome, but Donna isn't the right woman for him. "Because she's a Logan?" Thorne asks. When Stephanie doesn't answer, Thorne suggests that she either accept his upcoming marriage to Donna, or... "Or I lose my son?" she asks in reply.

Donna answers her sister's questions.
Donna answers her front door and is surprised to see her kid sister Katie standing there. Katie explains that she couldn't stay away once she heard about Donna and Thorne's upcoming wedding. Donna tells her kid sister how thrilled she is to be on the road to becoming Mrs. Thorne Forrester. Katie asks Donna if she's heard from Brooke, who didn't answer the phone when Katie called. Donna says that Brooke is going through something. Guessing that Brooke's problems have to do with Stephanie, Katie admits that she was surprised to hear that Donna wants to marry a Forrester and have the same kinds of problems as their big sister. "I can handle Stephanie," Donna states, telling Katie all about her plans to marry Thorne at the Forrester mansion. She just hopes Stephanie will learn to accept her once she proves what a devoted wife and step-mother she'll be. Katie thinks it's wild that the Forresters and Logans will still be connected, even though Brooke ended things with Ridge, and she asks Donna if she's marrying Thorne just to get back at Stephanie. Donna tells her sister to quit being such a worrywart and promises that she loves Thorne. "Then I wish you and Thorne all the best," Katie replies.

Katie faces off with Stephanie.
Donna goes out to sample wedding cakes, so Katie is alone when Stephanie drops by. Given Katie's mentioning the wedding, Stephanie expresses her displeasure about her son marrying Donna. Katie admits that she was surprised to hear that the wedding will be at Stephanie's home. Stephanie indicates that there won't be a wedding, and she came here to tell Donna just that. Katie points out that Thorne has not changed his mind, leading Stephanie to warn the youngest Logan to learn from her sisters not to cross her. Katie thanks Stephanie for the advice, but she also points out that Donna claims to be building a happy, love-filled life with Thorne.

Stephanie frets that she has yet one more Logan sister to deal with.
Stephanie insists that Donna only wants to be with Thorne to stick it to her. Katie understands why Stephanie might think that, given the tense relationship between Stephanie and the Logan family, especially Brooke, but she believes that Donna loves Thorne. Pointing to the numerous times Stephanie has called Brooke a bad mother, Katie suggests that Stephanie prove herself as a good mother by welcoming the woman Thorne loves into the family. Stephanie rolls her eyes at the thought of another Logan woman being in town to torture her.

Andy continues to taunt Ridge.
On the roof of the Cafe Russe, Andy continues to hold Ridge at bay with a 50,000 volt-filled roof antenna. Ridge again warns that he'll call the police; Andy tells him to go ahead and do that, and to be prepared for the biggest shock of his life. Dangling Brooke's extra house key, Andy brags that what he did to Brooke was the perfect crime thanks to the help he got from his accomplice. Ridge demands to know who helped Andy. "Maybe a little birdie told me where the key was," Andy boasts, looking around at all the pigeons on the roof. Ridge again asks who set Brooke up, but Andy bets that Ridge would never believe him. Ridge asks if it's someone he knows, or someone Brooke knows. Andy brags that the best part of this whole thing is that he's going to get away with it, or else he'll be dragging someone else into hell with him if he gets arrested. "Who is it?!" Ridge asks. Andy is about to answer, just to see the look on Ridge's face, but a security guard bursts onto the roof at that moment and asks what's going on. The guard's presence startles the pigeons on the roof, making the birds fly into Andy's face. Unable to keep his balance, Andy stumbles back and is electrocuted to death when he falls back, still holding the antenna, into an electrical transformer.

Bridget waits with her mother.
Back at Brooke's house, Bridget waits with her mom for word from Ridge. Bridget worries about what Ridge, who is still on probation, might do when he confronts Andy. Brooke, however, is even more bothered by something else. She points out to Bridget that only a handful of people knew about the hearing Dorothy Bascomb was scheduling to send the kids back into Brooke's home and care. Bridget reminds her mom that anything that happens to the Forrester family makes the headlines, but Brooke still thinks it's creepy that Andy knew so much about her life.

Ridge tells Brooke what happened to Andy.
Brooke goes upstairs for a while, so Bridget is downstairs when Ridge returns. Bridget is relieved to see him, especially since her mom told her that Ridge wasn't going to let his mother bully him into taking Brooke's kids away. Ridge admits that he feels terrible about what he did. Bridget is just glad that he's making things right now. Brooke comes down and asks Ridge if he found Andy; Ridge asks Bridget for a moment alone with Brooke, so Bridget excuses herself and leaves to shower. Alone with Brooke, Ridge tells her all about his encounter with Andy. After Ridge tells her that he followed Andy up to the roof, Brooke asks if the police have Andy now. "He's dead," Ridge tells her, explaining how Andy will no longer be a threat to Brooke or to anyone. After Ridge reveals how Andy died, Brooke is stunned. Ridge explains that the guard called Lt. Baker, who agreed that Andy's death was an accident and let him go. He then shows Brooke the spare house key Andy had and informs her of the way Andy claimed to have an accomplice that helped him find the key. A shocked Brooke wonders what kind of sick, malicious person would do something like that. Ridge wishes he knew. All he knows is that the guy was about to name his accomplice before the guard burst in.

Brooke wants to move on after everything that's happened.
Ridge tells Brooke that Andy is not a threat to her anymore, but he also wants her to know that he intends to focus on whoever it was who helped Andy do such horrible acts. Brooke doesn't care who helped Andy as long as this thing is over, and she asks Ridge to hold her. Ridge tells her that the worst is over, especially since Hope and R.J. will soon be back home where they belong. Brooke admits that she needs her kids so much. "And they need their mother," Ridge states, apologizing for overreacting as he did and for doubting Brooke. He just hopes she can forgive him. Brooke says she already has. Ridge reflects on everything he and Brooke have been through this year, which has taken him and Brooke in different directions. But even so, he wants Brooke to know that he never stopped caring about Brooke, since he knows and loves who she is. After seeing how torn up this whole thing made him, he asks Brooke to promise, for R.J.'s sake, that they'll never let something like this come between them. Brooke suggests that it's more than just for R.J.'s sake. Ridge tells her that she can come to him whenever she gets in trouble, and that she can always tell him anything. "I'll always be on your side," he promises as he leans in to give Brooke a small, lingering kiss.
