Jackie worries about Donna's plans.
At Forrester Creations, Donna tells Jackie about her plans to go to Las Vegas with Thorne. When Donna hints that she and Thorne might check out wedding chapels in Vegas, Jackie fears that Donna doesn't love Thorne and is only getting close to him to get revenge on Stephanie. Donna admits that she'll relish sitting next to Thorne at Forrester family dinners, seeing the rage on Stephanie's face; she thinks that's fitting payback for the way Stephanie disrespects her sister. Before Jackie can respond, Nick comes in and asks her to join him to draft a response to Stephanie's comments on "The Rich Ginger Show." After Nick leaves, Jackie stays behind for a moment and asks Donna to let her and Nick handle Stephanie, but Donna wants to see Stephanie pay for taking what means the most to Brooke. Jackie then goes to catch up with Nick, so Donna is alone when Brooke comes in. Donna is surprised to see her sister, who says she just stopped in on her way to visit the kids. Donna tells Brooke that she's going out of town for the night; she regrets moving out of Brooke's house, but she promises Brooke that Stephanie will soon pay for messing with the Logan sisters.

Donna is feeling lucky.
Thorne is remembering being with Donna when his mother calls to chat. Stephanie wants to clear the air after their argument last night. Thorne points out that she was the one who stormed out of the office; Stephanie says she's sorry, but Thorne doesn't think she's sorry for humiliating Brooke and Donna on TV. Stephanie asks him to come over for dinner, but Thorne tells her that he's going out of town. Stephanie worries that he's leaving town alone, so Thorne assures her that he won't be alone. After he ends the call with his mother, Thorne calls Donna and asks where they're going. "Vegas, baby," a pleased Donna replies. Thorne asks if she's feeling lucky. "Yes, I am," she gleefully responds.

Thorne asks Donna what's wrong.
When Donna and Thorne arrive at their hotel in Las Vegas, Donna suggests they check out the pools in the hotel, but Thorne would rather see what kind of exciting things they can find to do here in the room. They start kissing. Donna tells Thorne how happy she is to be here with him. When Thorne agrees that it was a good idea to come here, since he really needed this. Thorne keeps kissing Donna, but she suddenly pulls away from him. Thorne asks her what's wrong.

Nick gives Brooke an ego boost.
Back in L.A., Brooke finds Nick on the phone with Jarrett from EYE ON FASHION. She's pleased to hear Nick praise her and her work, especially when he tells Jarrett that Brooke will be doing some designing for Forrester Creations. He predicts that Brooke's work for him will leave the Forresters screaming in their dreams. Nick sees Brooke as he ends the call and tells her how good she looks. She thanks him for what he just said to Jarrett, even though it meant telling Jarrett that she'll be designing for him in order to take the spotlight off Stephanie. Nick can't believe that Stephanie still hasn't learned her lesson, even after what she went through with him and his mother. Brooke thanks him for the DVD of the kids playing pirate and tells him that she'll be seeing the kids this afternoon. Pleased that Brooke is seeing the kids, Nick gives her some gifts he bought for the kids while traveling the globe. Brooke thanks him for remembering her kids, even when he has a child of his own on the way. Speaking of which, Nick thinks he should be getting home to his pregnant wife, but he assures Brooke before he goes that she'll have her kids back in no time.

Taylor gets some time alone with her husband.
Nick is about to head home when he gets a surprise visit from his expectant spouse Taylor. Nick is glad to see her and remarks about how much her belly is growing; he thinks that's a sign that his son is growing inside her. Taylor reminds him that his "boy" might be a girl and points out that the swelling he sees is from the chili cheese dog she ate for lunch. Nick thinks her craving for a chili cheese dog is another sign that it's a boy and tells Taylor that he missed her. Taylor tells him that she saw Stephanie on "The Rick Ginger Show," so she understands why he felt the need to be here rather than at home. Nick asks if she has a response to Stephanie in mind, but Taylor thinks she's learned how pointless it is to try and talk to Stephanie about Brooke. Nick hopes she's not still blaming herself for what happened to Brooke, since she was subpoenaed. Taylor admits that she feels badly that Brooke lost her kids, especially with Stephanie's continual attempts to throw a wrench in things. She suggests that Stephanie sees keeping Brooke off balance is an added benefit for La Forrester. Speaking of "added benefits," Nick would like to focus on the benefits he gets from being with his wife. When Taylor points out that she has a doctor's appointment at the hospital, Nick reminds her that the hospitals have beds, so she suggests that he and Taylor try out those beds and kisses her.

Stephanie tells Ridge not to feel sorry for Brooke.
Stephanie stops by Ridge's house to talk to him about Thorne, but Ridge says it will have to wait, since Brooke is on her way over to see the kids. After sending Hope and R.J. to clean up before their mommy arrives, Ridge again scolds his mother over what she said about Brooke on TV. When he points out how Hope or R.J. might react to their grandma badmouthing their mommy, Stephanie insists that she'd never say anything bad about Brooke in front of the kids. Stephanie hopes he isn't feeling sorry for Brooke with all her problems, but Ridge insists that Brooke deserves their sympathy and support and doesn't deserve to be vilified by the press. Stephanie claims to have just expressed concern for her grandchildren, but Ridge thinks she's worried more about his concern for Brooke. Stephanie points out that he and Ashley can raise the children together in a stable home if they get married, but Ridge thinks Brooke is just as capable of providing that stable home for Hope and R.J. Stephanie, however, thinks that any stability on Brooke's part will just disappear once Brooke finds a new man in her life. Ridge prefers to believe that Brooke has learned from her time away from her kids, especially since Brooke is now in therapy. Stephanie however feels it's only a matter of time before Brooke reverts to her old, erratic behavior patterns, thus putting the kids in potential danger again.

Ridge asks Brooke about her love life.
When the doorbell rings, Ridge tells his mother she should go, since that's Brooke at the door. When he lets Brooke in, Ridge tells her that his mother is leaving, but Stephanie lingers for a few minutes and watches as Hope and R.J. rush to meet their mommy. Watching as Brooke catches up with her "babies," Stephanie finally leaves. Admiring the drawings the kids drew, Brooke gives them some pencils she bought for them. Ridge suggests that the pencils will go well with the fancy paper Ashley brought over. Brooke is silent at the mention of Ashley's name. Ridge suggests that he make himself scarce so Brooke can have time with the kids, but Brooke asks him to stay and sends the kids to find a game that they can all play. Once the kids go upstairs, Brooke asks Ridge if he made up with Ashley. Ridge admits that he wishes Ashley was more up front with him about Rick, but he understands that he and Ashley weren't dating when Ashley was last with Rick, and that Phoebe and Rick were broken up at the time. Ridge asks Brooke if she's seeing anyone; she says that getting her kids back is her top priority now. Ridge thinks there will plenty of time for Brooke to find a man once their custody issues are settled, but Brooke thinks her self esteem has taken such a beating that she can't imagine what kind of man would want to date her now.

As she's seated at her table, Stephanie realizes where she knows the name from and goes over to the bar. She offers to buy Andy a drink. Andy asks Stephanie if they've met; she says they haven't, but she understands they have a mutual acquaintance, Brooke Logan. Andy doesn't recognize the name, but when Stephanie states that he may have spent time in a hotel with Brooke after giving her his name and number on a cocktail napkin, Andy realizes that Brooke is the hot blonde he spilled his drink on a few weeks back. Intrigued because he hasn't seen Brooke since, Andy offers to buy Stephanie a drink. Stephanie explains that Brooke is her ex-daughter in law who is going through a rough patch. She suggests that Andy might want to consider hooking up with Brooke, since they're both attractive people, and she thinks Andy is just Brooke's type.

Brooke pleads with Ridge not to let his mother destroy her.
As Brooke prepares to leave Ridge's house, Ridge offers to talk to Child Protective Services to get her visits extended, but Brooke wants to play strictly by the rules until her next evaluation. Ridge says it won't be like this forever, but Brooke thinks it might if his mother has anything to say about it. Ridge admits that he never would have let his mom go on "The Rich Ginger Show" had he known what she was going to say. Brooke frets that Stephanie was trying to provoke her. Ridge wishes he could stop his mother, and Brooke professes that she'd like that, too, since Stephanie is pushing her to the edge. That's why she'd appreciate it if he could asks his mother not to interfere anymore. "She wants to destroy me," Brooke states, pleading with Ridge not to let his mother destroy her.
