Taylor grabs her dress, make-up, shoes and hairspray and rushes out the door to get to her wedding. As she's about to leave, the phone rings, so she stops to answer it. Nick is calling to ask if he has something planned today. Taylor reminds him that they're getting married, and then they're going to the hospital right after so he can make his little "donation." Nick laughs that he hopes the donation is tax-deductible and quips that he never thought he'd spend his wedding night alone with a stack of magazines and a specimen cup. Taylor responds that they'll still have their honeymoon, but it will be after they make the baby rather than before. She then gets another call, so Nick says he'll see her at the altar. Taylor answers the other line; it's Lt. Baker, who wants her to know that the police received the restraining order she filed against Shane, which means the drifter can't come anywhere near her or Phoebe, at home or at work. Taylor asks if it will be a problem that Ridge is moving back here once she moves to the Marone mansion; she wants to make sure Phoebe is protected when she stays here with Ridge. Baker says both houses will be covered by the order. He then asks if Shane has been around; he's glad when Taylor says they haven't seen Shane, since that means Nick didn't follow through on his frustrations from the last time they talked. He points out that the police frown on folks taking the law into their own hands that way. Taylor says that Nick won't be a problem. Neither will Shane now that they have the restraining order, Baker remarks.

Ridge can't focus on his work.
Ridge is in his office, trying to work on a sketch for a new design, but he gets distracted by memories of Shane's death. Felicia comes in and asks her big brother what's wrong, since he hasn't gotten far on that sketch. Stephanie says that Ridge is fine, but Felicia still frets over Ridge's recent slump. The phone rings; while Felicia answers, Stephanie whispers to Ridge that he has to pull himself together. Felicia tells Ridge that a Detective Scott from Lt. Baker's office is calling to see if they know where Shane is. Stephanie takes the call and tells the detective that they haven't seen Shane, and she suggests that the police department do its job and track Shane down.

Felicia wonders what's up with her big brother.
As Stephanie hangs up, Felicia asks if the new espresso maker in the break room has everyone on edge, since her mom was so stern with the police just now and Ridge hasn't finished a decent sketch in days. Ridge assures his sister that he's fine. Stephanie remarks that Ridge is tense because Taylor's getting married, but Felicia points out that Ridge is over Taylor. Stephanie reminds Felicia that Taylor's fiance stole their family business. Felicia asks Ridge if that's why he's so tense; Stephanie tells Felicia to leave Ridge alone. Felicia says she's not trying to sound like a bitch, but she's worried. Ridge assures Felicia that he'll work past this latest block, just like he always does. Felicia hopes he's right and leaves. Stephanie tells Ridge that he has to do better. If he can't convince his sister nothing's wrong, she asks, how does he expect to convince the police? She hands Ridge some pain killers and some water and tells him to relax, but Ridge can't do that when the police are asking him questions about Shane. Stephanie tells him to keep quiet. Ridge wants to talk to Taylor about the restraining order, but Stephanie tells him not to, since she's sure all traces of Shane are gone.

Detective Scott has some surprising news for Lt. Baker.
At Police Headquarters, Detective Scott tells Lt. Baker how Stephanie refused to help when he called Forrester Originals asking about Shane. Baker suggests that the young detective check with Shane's employer and then run a check through the DMV to find Shane's address. When Det. Scott strikes out on both counts, he checks the psych wards and morgue records and finds something Lt. Baker might want to see. He finds a morgue record of a floater that washed up by the Santa Monica Bay who matches Shane's description. When Lt. Baker confirms that it's Shane, Det. Scott guesses that they won't need the retraining order now. He asks Baker what he thinks. "Smells like murder to me," Baker replies.

Bridget tells her mom to calm down.
Bridget drops by Brooke's house to spend time with her mom while Rick's goes to the wedding. Bridget worries about how tense her mom looks. Rick sees it, too, and is about to call Nick and back out of being Nick's best man, but Brooke tells him not to. Rick reluctantly agrees to go to the chapel and tells Brooke to hang in there before he leaves. Alone with Bridget, Brooke keeps thinking about the fact that Nick is getting married today. She's tried to rest, but she keeps seeing Nick and Taylor at the altar as soon as she closes her eyes. Bridget blames herself, since this would never have happened had she and Nick... Brooke admits that she and Nick just never looked at the things that were eating away at their marriage, so they couldn't turn things around. Bridget reminds her mom how Nick stole Forrester Creations from the family. "He did that for me, but I didn't listen to his warnings!" Brooke laments. Bridget tells her mom to calm down before she makes herself sick, since they can't change the past. Brooke knows that, but she feels like she's still in Nick's heart. Having been married to Nick, Bridget agrees with that assessment, but she also thinks that Nick is committed to Taylor now. Brooke says that she's been trying to accept that, but she feels like there is still a chance for her and Nick if she can get to the chapel in time. She refuses to sit here and pretend that this isn't happening. Despite Bridget calling out for her to wait, Brooke grabs her purse and bolts out the door.

Jackie and Phoebe are thrilled on Taylor's big day.
Nick arrives at the chapel and sees Storm there. Nick comments on how beautiful everything looks. Storm thinks his sister Brooke would agree; Nick tells Storm that things are over for him and Brooke, and he's committed to Taylor now. Meanwhile, Donna helps Jackie in the bride's room. Jackie wonders if Donna wants to be here, since she's Brooke's sister. Donna points out that she's also Nick's lead model, so she wants to do this for him. Taylor and Phoebe arrive; Taylor apologizes for being late and tells the others about her chat with Lt. Baker about the restraining order. She's glad to have settled that before the wedding. Phoebe says that everything is perfect, but Taylor points out that Thomas and Steffy couldn't be there. Phoebe says that her twin sister felt horrible that she had an exam, while Jackie hopes Thomas arrives before Taylor and Nick go on their top-secret honeymoon. Speaking of the honeymoon, Taylor tells the other ladies that she and Nick are heading for the hospital after the wedding to start the in vitro procedure. Jackie is thrilled that Taylor is about to give Nicky what no one else ever has: a child of his own!

Nick tells Rick that someone will make Brooke happy.
Rick arrives at the chapel and apologizes to Nick for being late; he tells Nick that his mom is having a hard time today. He knows Nick didn't mean to hurt Brooke and is just moving on with his life, but he thinks Nick should know that Brooke isn't going back to Ridge. Nick is sure Brooke will find someone to make her happy; Rick asks if Nick is sure he's not that someone. Before Nick can answer, Jackie enters and asks for a word with her son. Rick excuses himself. Jackie recalls the first time she held Nick in her arms and raves that her son is about to have a baby of his own. She's sure Nick will see how parenthood changes everything once he hold his child for the first time. Nick says he's looking forward to it. Jackie admits to Nick that she used to think Brooke was the only woman who could make him happy, but she was wrong, and she's thrilled that Nick seems so happy with Taylor. It makes him seem confident and relaxed, so Jackie thinks he has lots to look forward to.

Taylor has no problems waiting a few minutes for Nick.
As Phoebe helps Taylor get ready, Taylor comments on how beautiful and happy Phoebe looks, and she bets that's because Rick will be up there at the altar as Nick's best man. Phoebe says that today is about Taylor and Nick, not her and Rick, especially with Nick and Taylor starting a family. Taylor wonders if she's crazy to not only marry Nick, but to have a baby at this stage in life. Phoebe tells her mom that she is crazy - as in crazy in love with someone who loves her back, and Phoebe knows what that's like. Taylor agrees that it's an amazing feeling. A few minutes later, Rick comes by. When Phoebe answers the door, Rick tells her that Nick asked him to let Taylor know that he's almost ready. "So are we," Phoebe says. As Rick steps in and sees Taylor in her wedding dress, he remarks that Nick is going to be furious for running late. Taylor asks why Nick is behind, so Rick explains that Jackie wanted a word with Nick privately. Taylor is sure a few minutes won't make a difference.

Brooke asks Nick to tell her that he loves her.
In the groom's room, Nick is putting on his tie when Brooke comes in. Nick tells Brooke that she shouldn't be here. "Where else would I be?" she asks. Nick reminds her that this is his wedding day. She counters that the two of them took vows to be faithful to each other, too. "But we weren't. Either one of us," Nick states. Brooke admits they both made huge mistakes, but they don't need to make another one today. Nick agrees and tells Brooke that she can avoid making a mistake if she leaves now before anyone sees her, but Brooke believes she's doing the right thing for both of them by being here. Nick disagrees, but Brooke thinks he's relieved deep down that she's here. She knows he doesn't want to hurt Taylor, but she thinks he'll do just that if he marries Taylor, because he'll eventually have to admit his feelings for Brooke. She tells him, "Tell me what I already know. Tell me that you love me. Tell me that you're not going through with this." She then kisses him and urges, "Nick, please. Don't do this."
