Shane asks Phoebe if she's serious about her offer.
In his hospital room, Shane asks Phoebe if she's serious about his moving in with her. Phoebe replies that she is; she reminds Shane that he has no family or friends nearby, so she wants him to stay with her and her mom once he's released. Taylor tells Phoebe to wait one minute. Phoebe says it will only be for a few days, since she feels bad about Shane's injury. Taylor is willing to cover Shane's medical expenses and hire a nurse if necessary, but she thinks the gardener would be more comfortable in his own home. But he won't have a home if he can't pay rent, Phoebe argues. Taylor then offers to cover Shane's lost wages, too. Phoebe insists that Shane needs a friend, not just a pay check. And with Steffy in England and Thomas having moved out, they have plenty of room, so she doesn't see the problem with Shane staying with them. Shane tells Phoebe that she barely knows him, but Phoebe feels like she owes this to him, and she thinks her mom would agree. Which is why they will cover Shane's expenses and hire him a nurse, Taylor repeats. Phoebe again objects, but Shane tells her that it's OK; he can understand why her mother wouldn't feel comfortable with a stranger in the house. Taylor adds that Shane will need someplace where he can get some rest; Phoebe argues that he can get that at their house, so Taylor asks Shane to excuse her and Phoebe for a moment.

Taylor asks Phoebe what she's thinking by inviting Shane to stay.
Taylor takes Phoebe outside and asks what she's doing. Phoebe says she's trying to do the right thing. Taylor understands that her daughter feels guilty, but she thinks asking a stranger to move in with them is a bit much. She admires Phoebe's compassion, but there are other ways to help people. Phoebe points out that Taylor never asked her about Hector moving in, but Taylor replies that they've known Hector for a long time. They don't know anything about Shane, so they have to be cautious. Phoebe thinks her mom wasn't always like this. Taylor senses from that reply that Phoebe is feeling guilty about what happened to Darla and asks if Phoebe feels like helping Shane will make up for that. Phoebe admits that's how she feels, which is why she needs to help Shane. Shane does seem like a nice guy, Taylor supposes. Phoebe agrees, and she points out that the two of them won't be alone in the house with Hector if Shane is there. Taylor supposes that Shane did get hurt on their property, so they can try letting him stay with them for a few days, at least until he has some other arrangements. Phoebe thanks her mom.

Phoebe gives Shane the good news.
Back in the hospital room, Shane starts to feel guilty about wanting to blackmail these people who are trying to help him, even though they barely know him. Phoebe comes in to give him the good news, that her mom has allowed him to stay with them for a few days. Even a few days in a Beverly Hills mansion sounds great to Shane. Phoebe tells him that he'll be their guest, so he won't have to do a thing, except focus on getting better. That news has Shane feeling better already. He tells Phoebe that she's the sweetest and thanks her with a kiss on the cheek.

Jackie helps Hope with some tattoos.
Brooke and Nick arrive home, where Jackie has been babysitting for Hope and RJ. Hope runs over to show her mom and Nick the temporary transfer tattoos that she's applied to her hand. As Nick looks at the tattoos, Jackie explains that Hope wanted to put the tattoos on her arm, like Nick has, but Jackie thought these would be a bit better. Definitely, Brooke agrees. Brooke than asks about RJ; Jackie says that he was sleeping earlier, so she takes Hope upstairs to check on him. Brooke tells Nick that Hope loves him so much; Nick says he feels the same way. Brooke puts her arms around Nick and says she feels blessed to have four wonderful children, and one incredible husband. She kisses Nick, who responds by asking how she'd feel about having a child of their own.

Nick asks Brooke to consider having a baby.
Brooke seems surprised by the question. Nick admits that that they never discussed it. That's because kids have been a complicated issue for him, Brooke states; she reminds him that he thought RJ and Dino were both his at first, only to find out that they weren't, and then he lost Nicole. She guesses that it was hard for him, since he really wanted to be a daddy. Nick points out that he technically is, since he loves being step-father to Hope and RJ. Brooke asks if he still wants to have a baby; Nick asks how she feels about it. Brooke replies that she loves kids, so she's sure she would adore any child of Nick's. So it's a possibility? Nick asks. Brooke replies that it will always be possible, whether they plan it or not. But would she consider it? Nick asks. Brooke isn't sure; it's just that Hope and RJ are now old enough to do things with, like traveling to exotic places. They couldn't do that with a baby, however. But if he wants...

Brooke tells Nick how safe and loved she feels with him.
Nick tells Brooke that her kids may not be his blood, but he still loves them like they're his own. He wonders if his having a child of his own just isn't meant to be - and if it isn't, he's not really worried, since he's still raising two beautiful children with a woman he loves. Brooke puts her arms around Nick and kisses him. When he pulls away, Nick gives a listen upstairs; not hearing a peep, he guesses his mom has things in hand and suggests to Brooke that they head up to their "love shack." Brooke giggles that no one will even notice that they're gone, but she suggests that it still could be risky. Nick agrees and suggests they lock the door. Brooke says that's not what she meant; she's just suggesting that they be a bit more careful and a bit less spontaneous until they're sure if they want a baby. Nick says that he meant what he said earlier, about feeling like her kids are his. Brooke realizes that he would do anything for her; she admits that for the first time in a long time, she feels like she's on solid ground. She truly happy because Nick makes her feel safe, which is why she feels so safe with him. She puts her arms around him and kisses him, asking if he knows how much that means to her. She then heads up and tells him to meet her upstairs soon, leaving a guilty looking Nick standing by the steps.

Bridget asks Christian to test her.
In the hospital, Christian tells Bridget that he can't immunize her if there's even a chance she's pregnant, as these drugs could harm a baby she was carrying. Bridget says it's only a small chance. Then they should do the test, Christian replies, just to be sure. Bridget flashes back to her night of passion with Nick, and about their agreeing the following day not to tell her mother about it. Christian brings her the test kit so they can collect a sample and says that they can have the results tomorrow. Bridget asks if he can rush it, so as not to delay her getting her immunizations for Africa. Christian agrees and suggests Bridget go back to her office to wait for the results. Once she gets back to her office, Bridget prays that the tests are negative. She can't be pregnant this way, she tells herself, reminding herself that it was only one night. Bridget thinks back to when she was pregnant with Nicole and remembers how much Nick wanted that baby. She says to herself that things would have been so different had Nicole lived. Christian then returns with the results. Bridget asks if she's pregnant; Christian explains that he didn't just do a pregnancy test. Since she'd be in Africa for several months, he wanted to do more comprehensive tests that would show any possible health problems. He just needs to check one thing to see if she'll be going to Africa. He flips through the pages of the report. An anxious Bridget asks him to tell her what it says: is she pregnant or not?
