Hector thinks he has the goods on Shane.
In Thomas's bedroom at the Bel Air mansion, Hector asks his friend Jim to tell him what's in the fax Jim just sent. He learns that Shane was booked for theft in L.A. and has a restraining order against him in Atlanta. Hector is upset that Jim has no more details, but he's pleased that he has the ammo he needs to send Shane packing.

In the guest room, Shane looks at a photo of Phoebe, who he realizes likes having him here. He thinks he might be able to do even better than his original plan to get a measly million dollars out of Taylor. He looks out the window and sees Phoebe; he smiles and says, "What a babe," but his smile becomes a frown when he sees Phoebe has a visitor.

Shane puts his plan into motion.
Harry arrives and finds Phoebe tanning by the pool. He asks why she left him waiting for their date. Phoebe realizes she forgot and apologizes. She then explains about how she caused Shane's accident and rushed him to hospital, bringing Shane back here to settle down after. Harry is surprised that she would move her gardener into her home. Phoebe wonders why he has a problem with that. Before she can say any more, Phoebe gets a call on her cell phone from Shane, who says he needs help finding his pain pills. Phoebe says she'll be right there; after asking Harry to stick around, while she goes to help Shane. Meanwhile, up in the guest room, Shane hides his pills under the bed. When Phoebe comes up, she helps look and finds the pills. Shane thanks her; he explains that he tried to look himself, but his arm hurt too much when he put it down low. Phoebe tells him to take one of his pills and get some rest. As Phoebe turns to leave, Shane asks her to hang out for a while and keep him company. Phoebe agrees and brings him some water for his pills, which he says make him feel lightheaded. Phoebe thinks that's a sign that he needs rest, but he wants to talk about what a kind, caring, beautiful person she is. Flattered, Phoebe thanks him for the compliment, but she thinks he really should get some rest. She promises to check on him later and leaves. Alone, Shane thinks his plan is working. He then goes back to the window and checks out the pool area, where he sees a familiar face approaching Harry.

Harry asks Phoebe what's up with Shane.
By the pool, Harry sees Hector coming and tries to ask him something, but Hector mistakes Harry for Shane and tells him to clear out now. Once Harry explains who he is, Hector apologizes. Hector explains that he just lost his eyesight and is still getting used to recognizing people by their voices. Harry understands and says it's OK. Hector asks Harry about his friendship with Phoebe. Harry says they don't really know each other that well and explains how his friend Nick Marone arranged for him to meet Phoebe. Harry then asks Hector what he knows about Shane. Before Hector can say anything, Phoebe returns and offers to make it up to Harry for forgetting their date. When she finds out that Hector has been telling Harry how little he thinks of their live in gardener, Phoebe tells Hector to stop being so paranoid. Hector asks Harry if he can have a moment alone with Phoebe to discuss a "family matter." Phoebe objects, but Harry says he has places to be anyway, now that he knows Phoebe's fine. He tells Phoebe to call him next time she has to miss their date and bids her goodbye.

Phoebe won't believe Hector's accusations.
Upstairs, Shane lies in bed and fantasizes about Phoebe. By the pool, Phoebe asks Hector where he gets off making ridiculous accusations about Shane. Hector responds that he knows that she feels guilty about almost chopping her friend McGrath's hand off, but he thinks Shane is trouble. He tells Phoebe that he ran a background check on Shane and uncovered that there was a restraining order against Shane in Atlanta. On top of that, Shane was arrested for theft in L.A. a few months ago and missed his court appearance. Phoebe asks if he's sure. Hector tries to show her the fax. Phoebe insists that Shane is a nice guy. Just then, Shane appears by the pool and hears Hector ask Phoebe to look at the fax and then tell him how nice Shane is.

Felicia wonders what Bridget's plans are.
At the hospital, Felicia takes Bridget's cryptic comment about "knowing what she has to do" to mean that her sister intends to abort Nick's child. She urges Bridget not to make such a huge mistake. Bridget assures Felicia that she would never do that Nick's child. Felicia thinks that proves that Bridget and Nick are meant to be together, but Bridget refuses to go after her mother's husband. Felicia asks Bridget if she'll say the father is Santa Claus once she starts showing; Bridget tells Felicia to stop joking, but Felicia says she's being serious. She thinks Bridget needs a realistic plan. Bridget says that she has one: despite her earlier request to Nick not to tell her mother the truth, she feels now that Brooke has to know. Felicia asks, "Don't you think that'll destroy your mom's marriage?" Bridget doesn't know the answer to that, but she does know that she refuses to hide the truth, like her mom did while pregnant with Deacon's baby.

Nick is cagey about his plans for the day.
At Brooke's house, Nick comes downstairs to find that Brooke has coffee waiting. Brooke offers to make him breakfast, but Nick says he has to go. When Brooke asks Nick where he's going, Nick ducks the question. Brooke playfully tries to drag it out of him just as Donna comes in the door. Donna hopes the newlyweds aren't fighting already. Nick jokes that he wouldn't have it any other way. Speaking of fighting, he starts to ask Donna how she and "what's his name" are doing, but he then withdraws the question and excuses himself, leaving the sisters to chat. Once he's outside, Nick calls someone on his cell and thanks someone for helping on such short notice. He tells the person that "she" doesn't know, and he'd like to keep to that way. He then thanks the person again and says he'll be there in a bit. Inside, Brooke asks Donna what's going on with Ridge. She's surprised to learn that Ridge is still in Europe, spending some extra time with Steffy. Donna asks Brooke if everything is OK; when Brooke says that everything's wonderful, Donna is glad, since that brings her to the reason she's here. "I want you to tell me that you're done with Ridge, forever," Donna explains.

Donna wants to know if Brooke is over Ridge.
Brooke wonders why Donna is asking; she guesses that Donna threw herself at Ridge while they were in Europe, and Ridge probably responded. Donna reveals that she won't sleep with Ridge until she knows where Brooke stands with him. Brooke says that she loves Ridge and always will. Donna adds that Ridge will always love Brooke, and she knows that. That's why it was hard to be with Ridge in Europe, standing arm in arm in some beautiful city, only to see his smile fade and feel him slip away. She wants to make her own memories with Ridge, because she feels like the reason she never got married was that her life was meant to lead her to Ridge. Brooke responds, "Wait a minute, I'm the one that has the cosmic love story with Ridge, not you." But Brooke is married to Nick now, so Donna needs Brooke to please say that she let Ridge go. Brooke admits that she and Nick have worked out their issues and have a stronger marriage than ever, since Nick would never let her down like Ridge did. Donna asks if that means Brooke won't stand in the way of her being with Ridge. Brooke responds with just a look; Donna thanks her sister so much and gives Brooke a hug.

Brooke wants to know what's bothering Bridget.
Bridget comes in as Brooke and Donna pull away from the embrace. From the doorway, Bridget hears Donna say that she knows it's hard for Brooke to think of Ridge being with her, but she really feels that Nick will never let Brooke down. Donna tells Brooke she should be going, since she wants to call Ridge to let him know she arrived safely. On her way out, she passes Bridget, who notes how happy her Aunt Donna looks. Donna admits she is happy and leaves. Brooke then tells Bridget that Donna is ready to start a life with Ridge, if she can. Bridget guesses that hurts Brooke, but Brooke replies that she and Nick are committed to their marriage, which is stronger than ever. Brooke senses something wrong and asks Bridget what's wrong. She knows Bridget doesn't like to hear when she and Nick are doing well, but she was talking with Nick about Bridget's plans to go to Africa. Brooke thinks that Bridget's plans make sense now, since it will mean being in a new country and meeting new people, maybe even a wonderful young doctor... Bridget tells Brooke that she's not going to Africa, because she's done something. Brooke asks what she means. Bridget responds that she loves Brooke and has shared her whole life with Brooke, because she feels like Brooke is her best friend. And even when they had problems, they always made it through. It's just that there was a time when she secretly judged Brooke and criticized Brooke's choices, because she thought she could be a better person than Brooke. Now she sees that those judgements were unfair and naive, because things don't always turn out like you expect.

Brooke asks Bridget what she's trying to say. Bridget replies that people always talk about overcoming life's challenger, and she just hopes she and Brooke can overcome the one ahead of her. She's terrified of losing Brooke, but she thinks Brooke needs to know something, and she just hopes Brooke can forgive. Brooke then asks Bridget just what she's done.
