Alexandria asks her daddy when Taylor will be home.
At his beach house, Thorne watches Alexandria draw a picture. Ally tells him that she misses Taylor and asks if Taylor will get this drawings soon. Thorne promises to get the drawing to Taylor. Ally asks when Taylor will be home. Thorne says he's not sure and tells her to get ready for bed, since Catherine will be there soon. Once Ally leaves the room, Thorne looks at a photo of Darla and confides in his late wife. He tells her that their daughter depends on Taylor, the very person who took Darla from them, even if it was an accident. He knows nothing can bring Darla back, but he doesn't want Taylor to go to prison, and it all depends on Shane's testimony.

Storm outlines his plans for the trial.
At the county jail, Taylor recalls Harry's promise not to let Shane pull anything with Phoebe. Storm comes by to talk about Taylor's defense. He still wants to call Shane to the stand last, but Taylor insists on putting Shane up first, so he can testify and get out of Phoebe's life. She's just glad that Harry is looking after Phoebe. Storm asks if she thinks Shane is a flight risk. Taylor says she does, which is another reason to put him on the stand first. Storm reminds her that Shane is the only one who can back up Phoebe's claim that it was an accident. Taylor tells Storm that he can't put Phoebe on the stand. Storm tells her that he'll try and avoid that, but they'll have to see how the trial goes. Taylor isn't happy about that. Storm tells her that he understands her desires to protect her family and to spare Thorne's family any grief, but she has to let him do his job. Just then, Thorne enters the room; he offers to leave when he sees Storm, but Storm says it's OK. Thorne asks how things look for tomorrow. Storm replies that they chose the jury today and he's happy with the choices. He thinks the jurors will keep an open mind when they hear the evidence. Taylor thanks Storm for everything he's done for her, no matter how it turns out. Storm tells her, "You're welcome," and leaves.

Thorne tells Taylor that he forgives her.
Thorne tells Taylor that he won't stay long. He just wanted to see how she's holding up. Taylor admits that she knows that everything is riding on Shane. She just hopes Shane holds up against the prosecutor's tough questions. She also hopes the jury believes that it was an accident, but what means the most to her is that Thorne believes it. Thorne tells her that he should have known it was an accident; he's sure Darla knew it. Taylor sees that he misses Darla. And he always will, Thorne admits, but he also knows that Darla wouldn't want to see Taylor in jail. He then gets to the other reason he came by and hands Taylor the drawing from Ally. He tells her that Ally really misses her, and she even talks about being a psychiatrist like Taylor. Taylor looks at the drawing and reads the note from Ally with it, in which Ally states how much she and Thorne miss Taylor, and how she hopes to see Taylor when she gets back from London. London? Taylor asks. Thorne explains that he couldn't tell Ally the truth, so he lied that Taylor was in London visiting Steffy. That inspired Ally to draw a picture of London Bridge, with help from her dad. Taylor is touched by the sentiment in Ally's note and drawing. Thorne asks if she can spend time with Ally once she's out of jail. Taylor promises that she will, providing she's acquitted. She knows that things between her and Thorne can never go back to how they were, but she's moved that Thorne would protect her in Ally's heart. Thorne admits that he still hasn't fully come to terms with it, but he knows she would never intentionally hurt Darla. He hopes the jury will see that too once Shane testifies. Taylor thanks him and hugs him.

Hector tracks down Shane's address.
At Taylor's house, Harry tries to call Phoebe, but her cell phone goes to voice mail. He looks over to Hector, who is on the phone with the landscaping company trying to get Shane's address. Harry fears that Phoebe is in danger and wants to get Shane's address, so they can send the police. Hector admits that he would normally do the same thing, but he worries that Shane might do something desperate if the police just show up. Harry knows that, but he's also worried about Phoebe. After being put on hold a few times, Hector finally gets someone at the landscaper's office to give him the address. He gives it to Harry, who bolts out the door.
At Shane's apartment, Phoebe tells Shane that he can't make someone love him, but Shane thinks he can impress her enough to try and make her fall for her. Phoebe asks where he got the photos of her on his wall; he says that he found them in a shoe box in her house and thought they were too pretty to be lying around in a shoebox. Still, he doesn't need pictures when he has the real thing. He asks why she was calling Harry. Phoebe tries to tell Shane that she changed her mind about dinner and called Harry to bring her home. Shane suspects that she got freaked out by the photos and assures her that she has nothing to fear from him. He wants her to understand that the photos are just a tribute to the sweet, beautiful girl who charmed him from the day she rushed him to the hospital, after he almost had his hand cut off. Phoebe says she remembers that. Shane recalls how gentle she was, like his own sweet angel. He didn't feel that he was worthy enough to be with her, but now he thinks he can be the kind of man she deserves - and what she deserves is the best. Phoebe goes over to the table and blows out the candle. Shane asks what's wrong; Phoebe tells him that it's hard to feel romantic with her mom's trial tomorrow. Shane reminds her that he promised to come through for her mom and asks her to believe that. Phoebe says that she wants to believe it. Shane tells her to come closer and leans in to kiss her, but Phoebe tells him that she can't. "Yes, you can," Shane tells her and he tries to kiss her again.

Harry begs Phoebe to see how dangerous Shane is.
Just then, Shane and Phoebe hear Harry pounding on the door, ordering Shane to let him in. Shane tells the sailor boy to get lost, but Harry won't leave until he talks to Phoebe. Shane puts the chain on the door and opens it enough for Harry to hear Phoebe, who calls out that she's OK. Shane tells Harry that Phoebe's fine and tells Harry to leave, but Harry wants to see for himself. When Shane refuses, Harry breaks in the door and rushes to Phoebe's side, asking if she's OK. Shane tells Harry to keep his hands off Phoebe, but Harry thinks Shane is the one who Phoebe wants to get away from. Shane says that's a lie. Harry tells Phoebe to tell Shane the truth. Shane asks Phoebe if what Harry said is true, since he'll get out of her life if it is. Harry accuses Shane of using his testimony to get to Phoebe, who tells Harry to stop. Harry reminds her that Shane was subpoenaed, so he has to testify. He tells Phoebe that they're getting out of there, but Shane insists that Phoebe doesn't need some wiry kid like Harry looking after her. Harry begs Phoebe to see how dangerous it is to be around Shane, but Phoebe says she knows what she's doing. Then why did she call him to pick her up? Harry asks.

Shane presses Phoebe to celebrate with him.
Shane asks Phoebe to tell him if he's just a means to an end to her; if she's going to just toss him out of her life after he testifies, he thinks he has a right to know. Harry wants to get Phoebe out of there, but Shane wants the chance to talk to Phoebe first. She gets Harry to reluctantly leave, although he warns Shane as he leaves, "If you lay one finger on her, I'm coming after you myself with the hedge clippers." Shane says he gets it as Harry leaves. Alone with Shane, Phoebe admits that she's attracted to him, but she also thinks she's too young for all this. She admits that what worries her the most is her mom's trial. Shane promises to come through for Taylor and asks Phoebe to forget everything that happened here tonight, including Harry's interruption. He thinks he and Phoebe can still have a really special evening here. Phoebe doesn't know if she can be calm with her mom going to court tomorrow, but Shane tells her to just relax. At first, Phoebe says she can't, but she then changes her mind. She promises Shane that they will celebrate tomorrow night, after he's testified. "Now we're talking," a pleased Shane says as he kisses her. Phoebe nervously responds by hugging him.
