Stephanie pleads with Stephen to help her son.

At Brooke's house, Stephanie pleads with Stephen to help keep her son alive. She can't lose Ridge any more than he could lose one of his kids, she says. Stephen reminds her that she took that option from him. She admits she did, and now they've come full circle. This isn't about either of them or Beth, she says, but about loving their children. Stephen gives in and tells her that Brooke is in Cabo. She asks for the phone number. He tells her it's by the table. She asks him to please call, as she fears Brooke will hang up on her again. Stephen agrees, so he calls and asks for Nick's room, but he's told that Nick asked to have all calls held. He leaves an urgent message for Ms. Logan to call her father immediately and hangs up. Stephanie thanks him and says that she's going to fly down to Mexico to bring Brooke back. Stephen asks what to do if Brooke calls; Stephanie tells him to have Brooke catch the first available commercial flight to L.A. and go to University Hospital. She thanks him again and leaves.

Jackie can't believe that Stephanie expects all to be forgiven with Brooke.

When Jackie comes down from putting the kids down, she sees Stephen nervously pacing and asks what's going on. He tells her that Stephanie was there looking for Brooke. Jackie asks why Stephanie would come looking for Brooke now; Stephen explains about Ridge being in the hospital. He doesn't have all the details, but it's serious. Ridge had to have emergency surgery, and he's calling for Brooke. Jackie can't believe that Stephanie expects all to be forgiven now that she needs Brooke. She asks Stephen what he told the Forrester matriarch. He says he didn't have any choice; Stephanie's son, RJ's father, may be dying, so he told Stephanie where Brooke is.

Felicia and Bridget learn about Ridge's condition.

At the hospital, Ridge again calls Brooke's name. Outside, Felicia and Bridget are with Eric and Christian, who tells them that they were hoping to see Ridge's condition improve by now. He thinks a visit from Felicia and Bridget is just what the doctor ordered, so the sisters go inside. Eric asks Christian if there's anything about Ridge's condition that he hasn't told them about. Meanwhile, Felicia and Bridget wait by Ridge's bedside. Felicia assures her big brother that he'll be his old arrogant, cocky self in no time. That's just Felicia's way of saying they all love him, Bridget adds, telling him to come back to them. Or he'll have to answer to mom, Felicia says, reminding him of what their mom did for her - and she's not even Stephanie's favorite. Bridget wonders if anyone has told her mom, as she's sure Brooke would want to know. She takes Ridge's hand and tells him that her mom will always love him, even though they're not together now.

Stephanie calls Eric from the Forrester jet and tells him that she's going to Mexico to find Brooke. Eric asks why she doesn't just call; she replies that she did, but Brooke wouldn't talk to her. Eric tells her to leave a message, but she thinks the time for that has passed. Ridge needs Brooke, so she's going there to bring Brooke back. It's the only decent thing she can do for Brooke and Ridge. As the jet makes its way to Cabo, Stephanie leaves another message for Brooke, this time telling Brooke about Ridge's condition. She knows Brooke has heard this before, but she's really done some soul-searching and sees now that Ridge loves Brooke. She admits she should have respected that earlier, but she didn't, which is why she's on her way there to bring Brooke back home. She thinks the only way Ridge will pull through is if Brooke is there, and she promises Brooke that things will be different once Ridge pulls through. She then hangs up and thinks back to right before Ridge collapsed, when he told her that she took his life away. She just wouldn't let herself hear what Ridge wanted, she laments.

Massimo urges Ridge to hang on.

Massimo arrives at the hospital and tells Eric that he was out of the country and just got in. He asks how Ridge is. Eric is silent, so Mass demands that he answer. Eric asks if Mass will have him thrown in jail for refusing, like Mass did to Jackie. Mass doesn't care what Eric thinks of him. He thinks Ridge's heart condition proves that he was right about Brooke belonging to Ridge. He just wishes Dominick had the good sense to realize that instead of doing this to his brother. Mass goes in and sits by Ridge's bedside. He tells Ridge that R.J. needs his father, so Ridge needs to hang on for R.J. -- and for him. He's lost one son already and won't lose another.

Outside, Eric tells Felicia and Bridget that Brooke is in Mexico with Nick, and Stephanie went down there... To bring her mom back, Bridget guesses. Eric explains that Stephanie blames herself for what happened to Ridge and is determined to make it all up to him.

Rico's not the "old man" Nick expected.

In Cabo, Nick confirms that his calls are being held and goes out on the terrace, where Brooke, wearing a blue two piece swimsuit, is lounging. They playfully say how much they love each other, laughing and kissing. As Nick feeds Brooke some fruit, he tells her that he's the big boss at Marone now, so he has to make some calls. However, to keep her occupied, he's arranged for this old guy, Rico, to use his "magic fingers" to give her a massage. She asks who this Rico is; right on cue, there's a knock at the door. Nick calls for the "hombre" to come out, and a hunky masseur appears at the terrace door. That's Rico, Nick says, surprised to see this stud. Rico asks where he should set up his table. Brooke motions for him to come over by her, while Mr. Marone does his push ups inside. Nick quips that he might do his push ups outside now. He sits in the hot tub to make his calls while Brooke enjoys the work of Rico's magic fingers. She's disappointed when Rico has to stop to go to another appointment, but she thanks him for the wonderful massage. It was his pleasure, he says as he leaves.

When Nick finishes his call, Brooke sees that he looks stressed and suggests that he schedule some time with Rico. He says that this sailor feeds on stress, but she reminds him that he's not a sailor anymore, since he's the new big boss. He predicts that the old boss might still come after him. She says that sounds like Stephanie was with her, always lurking in the shadows to yank the rug out from under her. Those days are over for her, he says as he lowers her into the tub; they have the new him, the new her and her new boyfriend Rico, so they can forget about the old Stephanie. They kiss. Brooke tells him how excited she is to not have to deal with Stephanie anymore. He's glad to hear that. Still, she misses her fashion career. She doesn't have to give that up, he says, reminding her that they talked about her working at Jackie M with his mother. Brooke says that her heart is still at Forrester, although there would be one good thing about working with Jackie. "She's not a bitch?" Nick asks. Brooke agrees with that, but says that she was thinking about how Stephanie never appreciated her and just wanted to get rid of her. Nick agrees that his mom would never do that, since she's Brooke's #1 fan. He then kisses her and corrects himself, saying that his mom's Brooke's #2 fan. They kiss again as he tells her how good she looks, and he knocks his phone in the water. So much for work today, he quips, as he picks the phone up, looks at it and tosses it back in the water. Oh, well, Brooke says as she wraps her arms around him. They kiss passionately.
