Felicia tells Dante that she wants him in their son's life.
Outside the Forrester guest house, Dante peeks in the window and sees Felicia (who looks remarkably fit for someone who just went through chemo and a liver transplant), clad in black leggings and a midriff bearing top, doing yoga. She spots him and ushers him in before he gets arrested for being a peeping tom. He apologizes for disturbing her and asks if she's up for yoga after her transplant; she asks if he has something else in mind. He smiles. She admits Christian wouldn't approve, but she's never been one to play by the rules. And where is Christian? he asks. As much as she'd like her own personal physician, she replies, she has to share the doc with other sick people. Dante spots the scar on her midriff and comments that it looks big. It was a big organ, she reminds him, asking if he thinks she should have a plastic surgeon remove it with a magic wand. He looks at the scar but doesn't answer. He doesn't have to decide today, she quips. She then asks why he's here so late. He says he needs to know where he stands. He thought she wanted him to be part of his son's life. She says she does. Then why does he feel like she's cutting him out? he asks. She asks if this is about Italy, but he tells her it's about her mother's threat to fire him and have him deported back to Italy!

Dante is relieved by Felicia's assurances.
Felicia is stunned that her mother threatened to deport Dante, who tells her how much he loves his job. He doesn't to leave his job or any of the people at Forrester. And Bridget? Felicia asks. Dante admits that he loves Felicia, but the most important thing is that he loves his son. That's why he needs to know where he stands. Felicia takes his hand and says that Dominick is lucky to have him for a father, and she wants him to be a big part of their son's life. He's thrilled to hear her say that. Felicia apologizes for things getting complicated. Dante tells her how important family is to him. Then why not take her up on her offer to bring his family to L.A.? she asks. Dante thanks her. He's glad to see that they both want what's best for Dino. Felicia agrees that it's all about what's best for Dominick, her mother be damned. Smiling, she tells him that she never thought they'd have a child together, but she's very glad he's Dino's daddy. He notes that she called him Dino. She laughs, guessing that the name is growing on her. She leans in to give him a kiss on the cheek and they hug.

Nick tells Brooke that this is where their life together begins.
Brooke and Nick arrive at their vacation getaway in Cabo San Lucas; Nick follows her out to the terrace where they take in the sea air. He puts his arms around her and kisses her. Brooke says that she really needed this. Nick asks if this is the part where they talk about starting their life together; Brooke smiles and says that would be accurate. Soon after, Brooke takes a margarita from a table on the terrace and sips it as she checks in with Jackie. As she ends the call, she goes inside and finds Nick unpacking some Hawaiian print shirts. She tells him that his mother assured her that the kids were OK. Nick notes that he told her there was nothing to worry about. Brooke feels lucky to have someone like Jackie as her future mother-in-law, since Jackie is loving and caring, unlike Stephanie. She laments how much she wanted Stephanie's acceptance, but she never got it. Trying to change her mood, Nick reminds her that the two of them are here on vacation; he scoops her up and carries her over to the bed, where she sits on his lap and giggles as he kisses her.

Brooke has a gift for Nick.
Nick lights some candles and throws a blanket around like a matador as he summons Brooke from the other room. She comes out in a little poncho, which meets his approval; as she walks toward him seductively, he tells her that she's forever changed the way he'll look at a poncho. She says he's forever changed the way she'll look at a matador. Maybe less is more in her case, he says as he pulls the poncho off, revealing a sexy pink negligee. Wow, he says as he pulls her into him and kisses him. As they sit on the bed, Brooke gives him a box. He opens it and finds necklace with a gold medal on it. It's a St. Jude's medal, she says; she had it blessed, as her way of saying that she'll always be there for him. Nick is touched and says that he'll never take it off. They lean in and kiss, falling back on the bed. As they lie in bed, Brooke tells Nick that she can't believe how much her life has changed. She feels so free. As Nick holds her, she says that she loves him, but she also has to be honest with him: she can't stop thinking about Ridge and how she broke his heart.

Eric asks Stephanie what happened to Ridge.
Stephanie sits attentively at Ridge's bedside as he mutters Brooke's name. Eric enters, having just gotten Thorne's message. He sits by the bedside and assures Ridge that he's here for him, along with the the whole family. He then asks Stephanie how this happened; she tells him about the tear in Ridge's heart, which the doctors say could have gone undetected. They repaired the damage through surgery, she says, but the next 48 hours are critical. Eric tells Ridge to fight. Stephanie wishes that she had only given Ridge what he needed, before it was too late. Eric recalls that the last time he saw Ridge, he was looking for Brooke, to patch things up with her. Stephanie explains that Ridge found Brooke packing her things so she could quit Forrester. So that's what brought this on, Eric surmises.

Thorne and Darla wait by Ridge's bedside.
Out in the hall, Christian gives Thorne, Darla and Hector the lowdown on Ridge's condition. Hector is sure his brother will keep close tabs on Ridge. Stephanie and Eric come out; listening to the conversation, Stephanie recalls Ridge saying that she took his life away. Darla and Thorne go into the room and stand by Ridge's bedside. Thorne looks at his fragile brother in bed and thinks about all the tension between them over the years. Darla assures him that Ridge will be fine. She promises that they'll make an effort to get along once Ridge recovers. It'll be a chance at a new beginning, Thorne adds.

Stephanie laments her tendency to control her kids' lives.
Out in the hall, Christian tells Eric and Stephanie that there's been no change. As Eric steps away to call Massimo, Stephanie stands outside the room. As she looks inside, she recalls ab argument with Ridge about Brooke. She then recalls several confrontations with Brooke, Based on Brooke's short hair, the first was when she was involved with Thorne. The next has Brooke holding RJ, as Stephanie calls her a bitch. In another, Stephanie calls Brooke "the whore of Beverly Hills," staring at Brooke in the mirror while saying that Brooke is no angel or heroine. The next memory has them at Big Bear, when Brooke first got involved with Thorne, with Stephanie declaring that after tonight, there will be "no more Brooke!" Eric returns and asks if she's all right. She tells him she isn't, since this is all her fault. Eric thinks she's overreacting, after all, Ridge found her arguing with Brooke, who has a tendency to blame her for any problems with Ridge. Stephanie says that Brooke was right this time; she has been the problem, and once Brooke left, she felt so frustrated with herself. She saw how hard she fought Ridge's relationship with Brooke, and now he's in there fighting for his life!

Ridge lies unconscious as his mother apologizes.
Eric tells Stephanie again that this isn't his fault. She says that it is, reminding him of all the time he and everyone else begged her to end her animosity toward Brooke. And all is forgiven now? he asks. He doesn't see it happening given her history with Brooke. While she admits that there are some things she can never forgive Brooke for, she sees now that it's not all about her. It's about Ridge's right, and all their kids' rights to run their own lives. She hasn't done that, and now this has happened. Stephanie then steps into Ridge's room. Thorne and Darla give her a hug and give her some time alone with her first born. She sits down by the bed, kisses Ridge on the forehead and apologizes again. She thinks of all the times he told her that he loved Brooke, but she couldn't accept it. "I took her from you," she says, "but I can get her back." She takes out her cell phone (even though you're not allowed to use them in hospitals) and dials Brooke's number. When the call goes to voice mail, she leaves a simple message: "Brooke, it's Stephanie. I need you."
