Brooke is out on her patio when she gets a call from Nick, who quips that he's decided to forgive her, so he's washed all that stuff out of his mind. Not with alcohol, Brooke hopes. Nick says he won't touch the stuff ever again. Brooke tells him that this isn't funny. He agrees, especially the part about Taylor. He thinks she knows him, including the fact that he likes blondes. Yes, she agrees, smiling, she knows that. Nick says that he's not trying to pressure her. He tells her to take all the time she needs to do her "thinking," but he wants to remind her that there are a lot of blondes in L.A. OK, Brooke replies, she'll remember that. They end the call.

Taylor pleads her case to Brooke.
Brooke then gets a visit from Taylor. She lets Taylor in and comments on how this is becoming typical behavior where Taylor messes up, gets caught and comes running over for damage control. Taylor says there isn't any damage this time, at least not yet, because nothing happened between her and Nick. But if Brooke tells Ridge... Brooke points out that Taylor is not married to Ridge anymore. But he is still Nick's brother, Taylor says, so telling Ridge will put strain on the family that her kids can do without after watching their parents break up. Brooke says that Taylor should have thought of that before she fell into bed with Ridge's brother. She has to wonder what's up with Taylor being caught first with Hector and now Nick. Taylor says she's been like this since Ridge left her. She's not blaming Brooke, just like Brooke shouldn't blame Nick. She thinks it would be wrong for Brooke to let a silly misunderstanding ruin her relationship with Nick, who obviously loves her.

Brooke thinks she knows what Taylor is up to.
Brooke thinks she knows what this is about: if she forgives Nick, she supposes, then Ridge is free to be with Taylor. Taylor says that's not it at all. She just wants Brooke to know after last night that Nick loves her. She could tell that Brooke came to the boat last night to choose Nick, and she doesn't want Brooke to let what she saw last night keep her and Nick apart. Brooke isn't buying Taylor's sudden concern, but she agrees not to say anything about last night for Bridget's sake. She would hate for Bridget to find out that sacrificing her marriage pushed Nick into bed with Taylor! Taylor thinks that's a good decision for everyone involved. Brooke doesn't care what Taylor thinks; she tells Taylor to let last night be a wake-up call to get herself together, before she gets into something she can't talk her way out of. Taylor's had enough of this and leaves; Brooke sighs as Taylor makes her exit.

Nick is speechless after Taylor's confession.
Taylor drops by the Shady Marlin and finds Nick cleaning up. She knows she's probably the last person he wants to see, but she wants him to know that she's sorry for causing trouble last night. It's not her fault, Nick says. Taylor says it is, since she should have waited for Chuck to come back to put her in a cab. Instead, she came here, and she just wishes she could fix that. She sees now that she shouldn't have followed him back here, because he told her in the bar that he wanted to be alone. She had nowhere to go, he reminds her. She could have gone home, she says. He says he should have gone home, too, but he decided to drink instead. Because he thought he saw someone he loved being unfaithful, she says, and he was hurt. They were drunk, he says. Taylor agrees, but she thinks it was more than just the alcohol. It was the fact that she saw someone who understood what she was going through. She asks if she can explain this to him; he pulls up a chair and tells her to go ahead. Taylor explains that she's been in a downward spiral since Ridge left her. Last night wasn't the first time she had too much to drink, even though she knows what alcohol can do from her father's problems with it after losing her mother. She admits that she's scared that she's becoming dependent on the alcohol. Nick holds her to comfort her as she starts to cry. She kept trying to drink the pain away, she cries, except for that moment last night when she was with him, where everything was all right. She doesn't know what happened, but for those few moments, the pain was gone. Nick is speechless.

At the Forrester mansion, Eric tells Stephanie that they have to make arrangements for Felicia's funeral, but she refuses to have a service, or even to publish an obituary. But Felicia's accomplishments need to be recognized, Eric insists. Felicia said her goodbyes in private, Stephanie reminds him. And now they need their chance to say goodbye, he says, so they can have some closure. Didn't he do that with the champagne> she asks. He says that he did that because he loved Felicia and wanted to honor her last wishes. Stop talking about her in the past tense! Stephanie harshly insists. She says she still loves Felicia know and always will. They all love her, Eric says, and a funeral won't change that. He asks what mortuary the body is at so he can make arrangements, but Stephanie refuses to even talk about this. He worries about her doing this alone, but she insists that she can do this without his help. Eric tells her to stop, because he knows what this is about. He recalls that she wanted more time with Felicia, but she can't avoid what's happening. He loved his little girl, he says, as they all did. But Felicia is gone now, and Stephanie has to accept that. "The hell I do!" she retorts before storming out.

Eric confides in Jackie that he's worried about Stephanie.
Soon after, Eric is looking at a photo of Felicia and Dominick when Jackie stops by. She tells him that she's sorry for the loss of his daughter, places her hand on his shoulder and asks how he's doing. He says that's OK, but he's worried about Stephanie, who has been keeping to herself and avoiding the family. He confesses to Jackie that Stephanie won't let anyone help with the funeral arrangements and doesn't even want a funeral. He knows Stephanie justifies it as being what Felicia would want, but it's like she thinks not acknowledging what happened will make it like it never was. As they go out on the patio, Jackie tells Eric that it's understandable that Stephanie would have a hard time accepting Felicia's death. But to deny their child a memorials service? She won't even tell him where the mortuary is, Eric laments. He guesses that it's just Stephanie's way of exerting control as usual. He feels like she's blaming them all for letting Felicia die and just doesn't want to let go. Jackie tells him that Felicia was ready to go; Stephanie just wasn't ready to let her.

Stephanie meets with someone about Felicia.
Meanwhile, Stephanie meets with a professional man in an office, She tells him that her husband wants a service for their daughter, to provide closure. He asks if she agrees. She says she can't just sit back and accept the loss of her child. Everyone confronts these issues in their own way, the man says. She tells him that her daughter has a baby boy and asks how she can look that boy in the eye years from now and tell him that they stood by and let his mother die. The man assures Stephanie that her daughter is in very good hands. She and her family can take comfort in knowing that Felicia is resting peacefully now. Stephanie thanks him and asks if she can see her daughter.

Felicia's alive!
The man takes Stephanie into a quiet room. As she solemnly stands in the door, the man tells her she can move closer, as there is no fear of contamination. She hesitantly moves toward the bed and asks the man when they can begin the procedure. As soon as the paperwork is done, he replies. She tells him that her daughter's baby boy has so much to live for, because her daughter doesn't want to die. We then see that Felicia is there, lying in bed unmoving, hooked up to tubes and a respirator! If they can get the cancer under control, the man tells her, they can buy Felicia some time with the liver transplant. She asks for some time alone, so the man excuses himself. Stephanie then sits in a chair by the bed and tells the comatose Felicia that Mommy's here. She explains that a miracle happened when they put Felicia in the ambulance and found a faint pulse. That's when Stephanie brought her here. She knows Felicia wanted to go peacefully, but what's going to happen will be anything but. All she asks is that Felicia trust her, since this will buy her at least a little time, time that Felicia can spend with her son.
