Eric and Stephanie, and Massimo and Jackie, wait for the wedding to begin.
At Brooke's house, Brooke is about to come down the stairs. Eric tells Stephanie that Bridget still isn't here. The wedding wasn't supposed to start for another hour, Stephanie reminds him. He tells her that Brooke doesn't think Bridget is even coming. Stephanie repeats her fear that Brooke and Ridge are rushing into this. Eric thinks Bridget should be here, which is fine with Stephanie, so he tells Ridge to wait a second and goes to call Bridget.

Bridget tells Nick to stop the wedding.
At the beach house, a tearful Bridget confirms for Nick that she wants him to stop her mother's wedding. She wants this, she assures him, and she thinks he wants it, too, because they both know her mother and he are in love with each other. Bridget then puts on a CD of "Soul Reason," the song Nick wrote for her and asks him to dance with her, so she can be in his arms one last time. As they dance, she says she feels so safe this way. As the song ends, they each say that they'll always love each other. Just then, the phone rings; the answering machine picks up Eric's call, urging Bridget to hurry if she wants to get to the wedding, since they're starting now. Bridget tells Nick that there's still time, so she tells him to go!

Dante learns that Bridget has let Nick go.
Soon after, Dante arrives. He sees that Bridget has been crying and asks what's wrong. She tells him that her mother is marrying Ridge right now, but Nick is on his way there to stop the wedding. Dante frets that Nick would leave Bridget this way, but she tells him that she let Nick go. She finally realized that Dante was right that no matter how much Nick loved her, the baby was the only thing holding their marriage together. She wanted Nick to be happy, rather than letting him get to the point where he'd stray, and she knew he couldn't raise Dominick, no matter how much she wanted. Nick couldn't raise another man's child? Dante asks. Not with her, Bridget explains, but she sees the way he is with Hope and RJ. Dante says he's really sorry: first she lost her baby and now her marriage. But if she thinks about this, he suggests, this good be the best thing that happened to her. It may not be the best thing, Bridget says, but it's the RIGHT thing. Dante agrees. By freeing Nick to be with her mother, he says, she's freed herself, like he's always wanted. Bridget tells him to slow down, because she still loves Nick. Dante tells her that he would never put any conditions on her relationship with Dominick. He just thought that maybe the three of them could spend time together. Bridget says she's like that. She just hopes Nick can get to her mother in time.
And on the road, Nick races from Malibu to Brooke's house. As he recalls Bridget's urging him to go, he presses down on the gas and hopes the lights go his way. As he impatiently mutters for traffic to move, he recalls Bridget saying that there's still time, so he should do. Nick talks to himself, hoping the traffic will keep moving, as he prays that Brooke can hang on till he gets there.

Thorne, Darla and Sally watch Brooke descend the stairs.
Back at Brooke's, Eric returns to his seat and tells Stephanie that Bridget's answering machine picked up, so she's probably on her way. Everyone rises as trumpets start blaring and the music starts playing. Brooke starts to descend the stairs, making her way to join Ridge and the minister for her sixth wedding ceremony to Ridge (counting the one where she left Ridge at the altar because she heard him express his love for Bridget).
Ridge recites his vows...
The minister begins the ceremony, explaining that Ridge asked him to start with the part where he asks if anyone objects to this wedding. As he asks, Ridge glares at his mother. Brooke says there is one person, but she'd better keep her mouth shut. In the absence of any objections, he acknowledges Brooke and Ridge's sense of humor and moves on to the ceremony. After talking a bit about how Brooke and Ridge are coming together, he asks them to take their vows. Ridge begins: "Logan -- and you are my sweet Logan again -- today I feel like the luckiest man in the world. And the stupidest. Lucky, because I have you back in my life. And stupid, because I could've lost you forever. I can never again look in those eyes and feel the way I feel right now. You and I had something absolutely incredible and I let it slip through my fingers. Well, I'm here now to tell you, and swear in front of god and all these people, that will never happen again. I will spend the rest of my life showing you, R.J. And hope just how precious you are to me."
...and then it's Brooke's turn.
Next, it's Brooke's turn, as she says, "Ridge, I too became aware of something when we were apart. I always believed that destiny was something magical. Something supernatural. Predestined. I always thought that I would end up with the person that I was supposed to be with. But then you left me. So I lost all faith. But here we are again. Now I don't believe that destiny is magic. I believe it's something like a force of nature. Like gravity. When two people separate, and they grow apart, it becomes weaker. But when they get closer, it's stronger and stronger, pulling them right back on track. Right where they belong. So yes, you do deserve my forgiveness and you have restored my faith. So there's nothing more that would bring me so much joy than to spend the rest of my life with you and our children." They smile and exchange a kiss.

The minister is about to make it official...
The minister asks for the rings. Ridge takes them out of his pocket and hands them to the minister, who gives a typical spiel about how these rings symbolize fidelity and love. As Ridge slides the ring on Brooke's finger, he says that when he put this ring on her finger before, he never intended for her to take it off. Now he gives it to her not only with hope, but with every bit of his heart, since it shows their enduring love and their commitment to their family. Brooke then gives Ridge his ring, saying that she gives it to him as a symbol of their enduring love and her commitment to him and their family. With that said, the minister moves on...
...but Nick arrives to stop the wedding.
...just as Nick bursts in and shouts that this wedding has to stop! As a confused Brooke and a furious Ridge ask what he thinks he's doing, Nick moves into the room, grabs Brooke and hoists her over his shoulder in a fireman's carry! He takes Brooke down the aisle and up the stairs, with Ridge right behind him. Stephanie tries to hold Ridge back, but Eric tries to pull his wife off of him. Upstairs, Nick takes Brooke into her bedroom, where she asks him again what he's doing here. Nick sees that talking won't do much good, so he instead acts, moving close to Brooke and kissing her! Brooke struggles at first, but then seems to give in to the kiss. Outside the door, Ridge pounds on the door, asking Brooke if she's OK and ordering Nick to open it up right now! Inside the room, Brooke pulls away from the kiss and asks Nick why he's doing this. He just gazes at her intently in response.
