Taylor tells Stephanie that she got drunk with Nick.
At the Bel Air mansion, Taylor thinks back to how calm she felt with Nick on the Marlin, even after all her recent pain. Then they fell on the bed and Brooke found them. Stephanie brings Taylor some coffee and asks how she ended up like this. Taylor is silent at first, but she then admits that something terrible happened. She tells Stephanie how she met Hector for drinks. Did he get her drunk and take advantage? Stephanie asks. Actually, Taylor explains, he looked out for her. They met at a place called Chuck's by the marina. Stephanie says she knows the place, since she was there once with Nick. She guesses Taylor drank heavily. Taylor says she did, because she was upset about Felicia. She bets Stephanie is devastated. Stephanie says it's OK, since Felicia is in a better place now. Any place would be better than here, Taylor says. Stephanie tells her to drink more coffee and recounts how Bridget set Nick free and sent him to stop the wedding. She'd have thought Taylor would be happy that Ridge didn't marry Brooke. Taylor says it doesn't matter. Stephanie disagrees; she thinks it's only a matter of time before Brooke goes off with Nick, and then Taylor can reclaim her life as Ridge's wife and moral compass. Taylor says that she's lost. Stephanie says she'll help, because she knows Taylor and Ridge belong together. No, Taylor insists.

Stephanie asks what Taylor has done, since she's sure that it can't be any worse than what Brooke has done. Taylor doesn't think so after what she did tonight. She laments that she's been drinking so much since Ridge left her, and tonight was the worst. Hector had to leave, so he gave Chuck her keys and money for a cab. That's when she spotted "him," sitting there, just as lost as she was. It was the alcohol, but he knew how she was feeling. Who is he? Stephanie asks. Taylor feels Stephanie might hate her if she says who the man was, but Stephanie says that she could never hate her angel, Taylor. Taylor says that she was drunk, and she couldn't find Chuck, so she made her way across the marina to his place. Next thing she knew, she was in his arms, and they fell on his bed. But nothing happened. So it was just some guy, Stephanie guesses. No, Taylor replies, it was Nick! Stephanie is stunned! She wonders how this could have happened and supposed that Taylor wanted to hurt Ridge because he went back to Brooke. Taylor isn't sure; she tells Stephanie that Nick told her he'd found Ridge and Brooke in Brooke's bad, so he thought Brooke had chosen Ridge. But then Brooke came and said he misinterpreted everything. And that's why Nick was at Chuck's tying one on, Stephanie guesses. Taylor says that she didn't expect Nick to be there, but she wanted some one to talk to who understood how she felt. Stephanie replies that this was a huge lapse in judgment, but she still thinks they can fix this. She promises Taylor that she'll take care of everything.

Bridget asks Ridge to let her mother be with Nick.
Ridge is still at Brooke's, trying to find Catherine to watch the kids. As he leaves her a message, Bridget comes in. He asks if she was looking for Nick. She says that she saw Jackie's car leave and asks why he's here. He asks her to watch the kids so he can look for her mother on Popeye's boat. Bridget takes that to mean that her mom chose Nick, but ridge tells her no. But he's here, Bridget points out, and her mom is with Nick. She asks if this is some misguided attempt by Ridge to woo her mom back. Hardly, Ridge replies. Bridget thinks he should give her mom and Nick some privacy, but he doesn't think so. He doesn't have time to get into this now, but he was with Brooke in bed and Nick barged in. Bridget asks him if her mom chose him. She didn't come out and say it, he replies, but... So he doesn't know for sure, Bridget guesses. She thinks it should tell him something that her mom is with Nick right now. It tells him that Brooke wants to let Nick down easy, he answers. But right now, he needs to get dressed, so he hopes she can watch the kids. Bridget asks him to wait. She knows he's been though a lot today, including losing Felicia. He says he needs his wife. She's not his wife, Bridget reminds him. She thinks the feelings her mom and Nick have for each other are too strong to fight, so she asks Ridge to accept that he had his chance and let her mother be with Nick. Ridge thinks her concern for him is sweet, but she's wrong. He asks her to watch the kids until he comes back with Brooke. Bridget rolls her eyes as she watches him leave.

Dante arrives to lend an ear to Bridget.
Soon after, Dante arrives with Dominick. Bridget says he didn't have to come, especially not when it meant taking the baby out this late, but he says her call sounded like an SOS. Besides, she did him a favor since Dante wouldn't go to sleep. It's his first night without Felicia, Bridget notes. Dante says he put the baby in his sports car and drove around, and Dominick was out like a light. He then asks what's going on, guessing it's another crisis with Brooke. Who else? Bridget replies, noting that her mother hasn't yet chosen between Ridge and Nick. She thinks the craziness has to stop. Dante asks how she feels; kind of numb, she replies. He says it will take time. She says she can accept that for herself, but she can't figure out why her mom hasn't chosen if Brooke wants to be with Nick. She explains that Brooke and Nick are on the Shady Marlin, but Ridge is there, too. She tells him what she's pieced together about her mom being with Ridge in the bedroom and Nick walking in on them. So her mom went to explain, but Ridge had to follow. She feels terrible about the pain Ridge is in, but she thinks Ridge has to understand that her mom and Nick belong together. She then goes to put the baby down; when she returns, she tells Dante that after watching Dominick, she can understand Ridge fighting for his family. Even if Ridge loves the child, Dante says, he hasn't always been good to Brooke. Bridget agrees. That's why she wants Brooke with Nick, Dante says. What she wants, Bridget says, is for her mom to be happy. She's also thinking about Hope, and about how her mom and Hope can count on Nick. She thinks they deserve that. Dante praises her for the sacrifice she's made for her mother.

Ridge thinks he's got the goods on Nick.
On the Marlin, Nick tells Brooke to make a choice. He asks if she needs him to repeat her choices, but she says no and then starts to kiss him. When they finally come up for air, Brooke says that she loves him, but she also wants to be be sensitive. Nick tells her that Ridge has his whole family to lean on. Brooke knows that, and she knows that Nick wants her to move forward. Nick wants her to be honest with him and herself. She insists that she is, or at least she's trying to, but it's been a confusing day, especially for Bridget. He tells her that Bridget has never been more clear and they don't have to be in denial anymore. Just then, Ridge comes in and sees the bed in a mess. He guesses at first that Nick has been "comforting" his wife. Ex-wife, Nick says. Brooke tries to hush Nick, who says he's sorry, but he couldn't resists. But then Ridge spots Taylor's shoes and jacket. He knows these aren't Brooke's, but he recognizes the Forrester design. Even though the lady has good taste in clothes, Ridge says, she must be a loser to be with Nick. Nick retorts that he'd say the lady has hung with worse. Ridge guesses that Nick has shown his true colors. Nick protests, but Ridge thinks the lady left pretty fast if she left her shoes behind.

As Nick looks on, Brooke tells Ridge to stop.
Brooke asks Ridge to stop, but he keeps pushing, asking if she saw the woman. Was she someone else's wife and mother? he wonders. Brooke says that Nick was hurt after seeing her with Ridge in bed. Hurt people go to a doctor, Ridge says, or a psychiatrist, and they don't turn to a strange woman and some cheap booze. He offers to refer Nick to Taylor. Nick holds back and says it might be too late for that. Ridge agrees; he thinks this latest turn of events should make it easy for Brooke to choose, since tonight has proved what kind of man Nick is. "Let's go," he tells her as he turns to leave, but Brooke doesn't follow. He tells her to quit with the games and get going, but she just looks first at him, then at Nick, and then back at him.
