Dante is called to Felicia's side.
Renee summons Dante to the Forrester guest house. He asks what's going on. She tells him that Felicia's organs are failing. He asks if the family knows. Not yet, Renee replies, explaining that Felicia wanted to see him. She takes Dante in the bedroom, where a pale, sickly Felicia lies in bed. Dante wants to call the doctor, but Renee says that the doctor was just here. Felicia tells Dante that they need to talk about her son. She's drawn up papers naming him and Bridget as Dominick's guardians, but she hopes that he'll let Nick and Bridget raise the baby. Dante tells her that Bridget realized that Nick would always love Brooke more than her, so she let Nick go. But Brooke is marrying Ridge, Felicia frets. He tells her that Bridget went to the wedding to tell Brooke that Nick was free. But no matter who Brooke chooses, Dante knows that Bridget is determined to be a mother to Dominick. He wants Felicia to know that he intends to be the best father a child could have, because their son deserves the best. He promises that Dominick will grow up with people who love him, living the same life that Felicia would have given him. Dominick starts crying, so Felicia sends Dante to go to his son.

Felicia weakly tells Dante what she wants.
Soon after, Dante returns and tells Felicia that Dominick's toy fell out of the crib. He guesses the toy was the baby's favorite. Felicia weekly nods. Dante tells her that he knows how important it is to her that Dominick is raised in a loving home with two parents. While it won't be Nick and Bridget, he hopes it someday could be him and Bridget. He loves Bridget and they both love Dante, so maybe they'll come together as a family and even give Dominick a brother or sister. The one thing be promises is that no one will ever replace her in Dominick's life, but he swears to give their son the best life possible, growing up with two people who care about him and love him, him and Bridget. Felicia thanks him and smiles. Her head then falls to the side. Dante frantically calls out her name.

Bridget tells her father that she's OK with her decision.
In the extra bedroom at Brooke's house, Stephanie tells Bridget how relieved she is that Bridget understood that she had to end things with Nick. Eric reminds Bridget that she loves Nick. Bridget says that Nick loves her, too, just not in the way she deserves to be loved. She knows that because Eric taught her that. And if Nick isn't the right man for her, then she'll always have her dad until the right man comes around, and that's all she needs. Eric hugs her and tells her that her daddy loves her.

Downstairs, Massimo wants to go up and set his younger son straight. Jackie says that Nick just needs time with Brooke, but Mass says that Dominick shouldn't even be there. Thorne and Sally quip about the odds of this wedding happening, just as Eric, Stephanie and Bridget come down. Bridget says that her mother isn't getting married today. Massimo is stunned! Bridget assures him that Nick acted honorably and didn't do anything wrong. She just believes that Nick belongs with her mother and is telling Brooke that right now. Jackie asks Bridget if her marriage is over. It is, Bridget replies. Mass angrily asks what she was thinking. Eric assures Mass that Bridget has thought this through. Mass has had enough, and despite Jackie's attempts to hold him back, he heads upstairs.

In Brooke's bedroom, Ridge begs Brooke to tell Nick that they're getting married today, but Nick says that she can't, and he can't believe that Ridge can't see that. Brooke frantically worries that she's dressed for her wedding, but then Nick showed up. She reminds Nick of his promise to love and care for Bridget. But she heard what Bridget says, Nick points out. Ridge accuses Nick of somehow getting Bridget to say those things, and he refuses to let Nick play those same games on Brooke. Nick insists that Brooke is not marrying Ridge today, but Ridge reminds him that the ceremony was nearly done. He asks Nick if he thinks Brooke would have come to the altar today if she didn't intend to marry him. Nick says that things have changed since Brooke came to that altar. He thinks Brooke deserves better than all the disappointments from Ridge and the fights with Stephanie. Ridge tells Nick that he promised that his mother would not be an issue, but Nick asks why Brooke would believe that. Brooke tells him that Ridge really IS sorry, and she believes him. But Ridge left her for Taylor, Nick reminds Brooke. Ridge says that Brooke is the woman he wants to spend his life with, and he turns to Brooke and asks her to focus on that. He wants to finish the ceremony so he and Brooke can be a family and raise their son.

Nick asks Ridge where his concerns for his son were when he walked out on Brooke to be with Taylor. He thinks it's tough for Ridge to face that he would be a better father to Brooke's kids than Ridge ever would be. Ridge says he would never let Nick raise his son. Brooke reminds Ridge that Nick never let the kids down and was there when Ridge left them. Which is something he never should have done, Ridge admits. He reminds her that RJ is THEIR son. And Brooke was at the altar to give those kids some stability, Nick says. And yes, he admits that RJ is Ridge's son, so Ridge should raise him. But what about Hope? Nick says that he's been a father to that girl in every way but biology, and Hope deserves a family where the rug won't be pulled out from her. He asks Brooke to walk away from the candles and romance and empty promises about commitment. Like Nick's commitment to Bridget? asks Ridge. Nick thinks Ridge doesn't get it and tells Brooke that Ridge only wants what he can't have. He knows that may be alluring to her, but it's not safe and it's not what she wants.

Massimo orders Nick not to interfere.
Just then, Massimo barges in and tells Nick to get out. Nick tells his pop that he doesn't get it, but Mass thinks he does "get it." He takes Nick by the arm and asks how he can come in this way and ruin his brother's wedding. Nick asks Mass if he's supposed to just respect this marriage because Ridge is the oldest son in the Marone dynasty, even if Brooke doesn't love Ridge. Mass thinks Ridge and Brooke are two adults who have come to an adult decision to commit to their family, which is the most important thing in the world. Mass reminds Nick that he and Ridge are his blood. Nick acknowledges Mass's feelings and says that he loves Mass, but he begs his pop not to interfere in his relationship with Brooke. Mass reminds him that Brooke and Ridge have a child. Nick points out that he married Bridget because of a child and it was wrong, so he won't let Brooke made the same mistake. However, Mass's mind is made up. He thinks fathers and brothers fighting over the same woman is incest, and he won't have the Marone family name disgraced the way the Forrester family name has been. He insists that Ridge and Brooke WILL get married and Nick will stay the hell out of it! Mass then storms out, followed by Ridge.

Stephanie urges Brooke to make the right choice.
While Nick and Mass talked, Stephanie slipped Brooke away to that other bedroom that Stephanie was in earlier with Eric and Bridget. She asks Brooke to hear her out, because she's really on Brooke's side. Brooke has a hard time buying that, but Stephanie says that Brooke needs allies on her side with Massimo dead set against her being with Nick. Brooke says Mass has nothing to do with this, but Stephanie reminds her how much influence Mass has over Nick. She begs Brooke to see that a marriage to Ridge would be half-hearted at best, because Brooke's heart belongs to Nick. Brooke starts to leave rather than listen to this, but Stephanie stops her and says that she saw something today that she hasn't seen in some time. She saw a safe, strong, secure Bridget, healthy again and looking forward to the future. Brooke says that she isn't sure what Bridget is thinking. Stephanie admits knowing that Brooke wants the best for Bridget, which is why she and Nick made a sacrifice for Bridget's sake. But fate, destiny or whatever has played it's hand and has shown Ridge to be Brooke's second choice. Bridget sees that, Stephanie notes, and now it's time for Brooke to do the same and be happy with Nick. And the happiest one of all if that happens, Brooke points out, is Stephanie herself!

Ridge asks Brooke to tell Nick and Stephanie that she wants to marry him.
Stephanie agrees that she wants this, but she thinks that for once, she and Brooke want the same thing. Any happiness Brooke ever had with Ridge was short lived, Stephanie points out, but Nick has never disappointed her. Believe it or not, she really wants Brooke to find happiness, and she's sure that happiness is with Nick and not with Ridge. She thinks Brooke would welcome the end to the antagonism between them, and all Brooke has to do to make that happen is find the same clarity Bridget did and embrace the chance she has at a life with Nick. Just then, Ridge comes in, followed by Nick. Ridge tells his mother to stop this. He can't believe he invited her today to support him when she's done anything but. That's why he's about to do something he should have done long ago. He wants her to leave, so he and Brooke can get married without her, and then they'll live their lives without her, too! Stephanie tries to protest, but Ridge won't hear it. He reminds her how he gave her a chance to share this day with him, but she couldn't respect that. That's why he wants her and Nick to hear what he has to say now. He turns to Brooke and says that he's loved her more than life itself, and they've endured so much. That's brought them here, to their wedding day, and if his mother and brother can't support them, so be it. He just wants Brooke to know that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, if that's what she wants. He asks her to tell him that's what he wants. For God's sake, Stephanie calls out to Brooke, make a choice and tell the two men who she wants.
