Aboard the Shady Marlin, a curious Brooke asks Nick where they are. She's thrilled when he kisses her and tells her they're dropping anchor at their island - although he suggests she not tell the kids and instead take them on honeymoon part two. "I like it, Mr. Marone," Brooke purrs. Nick is glad "Mrs. Marone" likes it, although she's not sure how "Brooke Marone" sounds. Kissing her again, Nick laughs that she's lucky he let her keep Brooke after what he went through; she may have thought he was a caveman before, but he intends to make her cook and clean until he says stop now that they're married. "On our wedding night?" she asks, kissing him again. Nick picks her up, kisses her and says she can stop. Brooke giggles in response. Nick then leads her to beautiful a canopy bed covered with netting, surrounded by tiki torches and candles, set up by his buddy's at Chuck's. He just wishes they would have gotten here during the daylight. Brooke reminds her that he was the one who stormed off. He kisses her again and welcomes her to "happily ever after."

Nick and Brooke look to the stars.

Nick then pours some drinks and proposes a toast. To always, Brooke suggests, taking a sip and laughing at how much tequila there is. Nick notes that he doesn't have to get her drunk now, since she's his wife. "And you're my husband," she replies. Nick says that's the sound of everything he always wanted telling him that the wait is over. He and Brooke kiss yet again. Brooke says she has to tell him something. As they undress, he asks her to make it quick. She admits she only married him for his body. "You too?" he asks, still kissing her. She says she loves that he doesn't close his eyes. That's because he loves to look at her, he responds. She says she loves to look at him and touch him. Nick wants to touch his wife, so Brooke tells him to go ahead. "Make love to me," she says. Nick responds with more passionate kisses, giving way to their making love for the first time as husband and wife. When they're done, they look at the stars. Nick points out how the stars are always moving, like they're being steered toward something. Brooke says her lucky star steered her to him. He says he didn't know she had a lucky star, so she points it out. Nick says he sees the flashing letters that say, "Brooke's lucky star." That's it, Brooke says, telling Nick that she finally feels like she's home. She is, he confirms as they kiss again.
Bridget and Dante return to the beach house and find an angry Felicia there. She tells them she's been waiting for them, since this is their night with Dominick. Bridget apologizes for forgetting Dino. Dante adds that things got crazy at the wedding. "So who ditched who?" Felicia sarcastically asks. Everything's fine, Dante says, even though it took a while. So Nick and Brooke are married? Felicia asks, sensing apprehension about that from Bridget. Bridget says she doesn't need to deal with this, so she's going to check on Dino. Seeing the bouquet in Bridget's hand, Felicia tells Dante to "be very afraid," calling out after Bridget that her son's name is Dominick. Dante tells Felicia to ease up on Bridget; Felicia asks why she should, since Bridget got what she wanted. She asks, "If you were gonna fall in love with a spoiled brat, why not me?" Dante says that he and Bridget will call in the morning to confirm their night from now on. Felicia hopes he's ready to be tossed aside when Brooke goes back to Ridge, freeing Nick up. Dante asks her to stop; she says she misses him, and for what? Dante says he's sorry they were late. "I hate this," Felicia retorts as she turns to leave.

Bridget and Dante discuss Felicia's attitude.
|
Later, Bridget apologizes to Dante; she's sorry that Felicia hates her so much now. Dante says that Felicia doesn't hate her; he thinks Felicia has just been through a lot and has a big mouth. That she does, Bridget agrees. Dante thinks they can settle things down by planning their wedding, especially now that Nick's future is settled. She asks what Nick has to do with this, since she's not pining for Nick. Then what's bothering her? Dante asks. Bridget explains that her mother loves her kids, even above any man, so she knows Brooke would do anything for her. She recalls how she stopped Brooke's last wedding to Ridge and asks, "What if she has it in her head that I needed to dispose of Nick before I could start a future with you?" Dante says that Brooke has been in love with Nick as long as he's known her. But they seem so mismatched, Bridget says, reminding Dante of what happened with the lingerie ad. Dante says that it seems to him like Nick decided today that he could take that and more. Speaking of Nick, Dante admits that he's accepted that part of Bridget still loves Nick, so it doesn't bother him. And even though he doesn't like Nick much, he thinks he owes Nick, since he thinks Bridget would be waiting for some unattainable guy to mistreat her had Nick not done it already.
Bridget thinks she and Nick learned a bit from each other, since Nick knew she was good for him. But some people don't always know what's best for them, Dante states. Bridget thinks she didn't until she met him. If she thinks that's the story with Nick and her mom, Dante says, she has to stop playing mother to her own mother. Nobody knows why Brooke does the things she does, he states, which is why Bridget can't fix that for her mother. Bridget admits he's right. She thinks about how she almost lost him. He asks her not to do it again. Bridget says that it's obvious Felicia cares about him, and not just because of Dino, so she knows Felicia must be hurting. She is, Dante says, hoping Felicia will be happy. He reminds Bridget of just how much Felicia has lost and suggests that they be more sensitive to her. Bridget admits he's right and thanks him for being such an amazing guy.

Stephanie offers insight on Bridget to Felicia.
|
Felicia returns to the guest house and is surprised to find that her mother let herself in unannounced. Stephanie points out that Felicia is living here rent free, so that gives her the right to barge in. She asks Felicia to go get Ridge, who won't leave the office. Felicia suggests that Ridge doesn't want to be bothered after Brooke's wedding. That wedding was a disaster, Stephanie quips; Felicia counters that Brooke's daughter, the "cyclone in sensible shoes" is the disaster, and she recalls how Brooke begged Bridget to marry Nick. She wonders if there is a term for someone desperately wanting one thing, only to want something else when you get it. Stephanie says it's called, "Brooke Syndrome." It must be hereditary, Felicia snipes, because Bridget is mooning over Nick wile using Dante as a security blanket. She thinks about how she lost the two men she loved to Bridget. Stephanie admits she feels like she doesn't even know Bridget anymore. Felicia asks if she's one to judge and wonders if she needs to grow up, because she's not competing with Bridget. She wonders if the expectation that she could die any day did something to her, since living every day like it's her last isn't working. She thinks she has to accept that she doesn't need everything now and consider that anything can happen before Bridget and Dante get married.

Felicia wants Dante back.
|
Felicia suggests that she has to keep on living to be as old and mean as her mother, who is touched to inspire Felicia. She asks Felicia if she's going to get Ridge, but she doesn't think her heartbroken brother wants to hear her call Brooke an airhead. She promises to call Ridge and have breakfast with him tomorrow, but she makes it clear that Stephanie's not invited. Stephanie isn't surprised. Felicia asks her, "Why does making you feel worse always makes me feel better?" What are mothers for? Stephanie asks as she leaves. Alone, Felicia looks in the mirror, looking at the scar on her stomach. She tells herself that she'll wake up tomorrow, and the day after that, and so on - but for what? She thanks God for her son and for the second chance, but she needs a life, not just a pulse. She flashes back to Dante proposing to her and thinks "I was beautiful to him." She tells God that she wants Dante back - and if that's a sin, God should stop her if he can, since she'll never believe that she and Dante don't belong together.
