Jackie asks Eric to be honest with her.
Jackie and Eric are in the bedroom at her penthouse, celebrating their engagement by making love. Eric looks at her engagement ring and says that he wants it to remind her how much he loves her. She says she doesn't need to be reminded. Still, she feels odd making love to a man who is about to marry another woman. The wedding is just for show, Eric assures her. Jackie frets that Felicia expects Stephanie and him to remarry and rediscover their love for each other. That won't happen, Eric says, since his attorney is preparing an pre-nup that will be an iron-clad annulment in place. Jackie admires that he would do this for Felicia. She just wants him to always be honest with Stephanie, and with her. They kiss. Eric then says how he wants to tell the whole world about their her. Jackie reminds him that they can't do that yet. Eric agrees that they'll have to wait. Jackie sees the pained look on his face and says she's sorry about Felicia. She can only imagine his pain, which is why she wants him to spend every minute with Felicia that he can. She also doesn't want him to worry about her because Felicia wants him to remarry Stephanie. She promises to be there whenever he needs, with whatever he need. They hug.

Massimo can't believe that Stephanie is remarrying Eric.
Massimo drops by the Forrester mansion, where Stephanie tells him of her wedding plans. Mass can't believe that she'd remarry Eric. Stephanie explains how the marriage will be a sham, for Felicia's sake. Still, Mass points out, she will be taking vows with a man she once loves, and he fears that "that bum" Eric will use that to find a way to worm his way back into her heart, or even her bed. Stephanie assures him that she doesn't love Eric anymore and she's done with him. Mass just wants her to be careful. He's known her a long time and has seen how vulnerable she is to Eric, especially now that they're facing the loss of a child. He knows her heart is in the right place, but he feels that this wedding is wrong, so he won't let her go through with it!

Stephanie is surprised at how Massimo feels.
An amused Stephanie laughs at Massimo's saying he "won't let her" marry Eric. She thinks it almost sounds like he still has feelings for her. She's not some romantic schoolgirl in a world of innuendo, she tells him. Mass sits her down and reminds her of the deep connection that they've always shared. They share a son and grandchildren, and they're both present unattached, so he admits that he hoped the two of them might find happiness together. But that can't happen if she marries "the bum," he reminds her. Stephanie says that she always loved him as a dear friend, so she never even thought that he would want something more. He asks if she thinks there's chance. She replies that at this point in her life, with everything going on, she doesn't know, so she can't promise anything. Mass asks her to call off the wedding, but she says that she needs to do this for Felicia. She assures him that this marriage to Eric will only last as long as her daughter lives.

Eric is amused by Felicia's invitation.
After Massimo leaves, Eric arrives and finds Stephanie calling a judge. As she hangs up, she tells Eric that she didn't think it was appropriate for a minister to marry them, so she called Judge Bolan instead. He agrees. She then tells him that Felicia made up invitations for the family, and Kristen will be flying in tomorrow. He takes one of the invitations, which are rolled as scrolls, and unrolls it. He then reads, "By Royal decree, you are hereby commanded to attend the ultimate Forrester Family Reunion, a ceremony reuniting grumpy groom Eric Forrester and his reluctant bride, Stephanie Douglas Forrester. Anyone not attending will be talked about after the ceremony." They both laugh at the wording. That's his daughter, Stephanie says. She says that she'll do anything for Felicia, even marrying him. The only thing is, she's not ready to lose her daughter. She tries to hold back her tears and says that she doesn't want Felicia to see her this way. Eric wonders if they are really helping, since Felicia might be expecting too much from them. Maybe they should call this off, he suggests. So now his conscience is kicking in? Stephanie asks.

Felicia talks to her parents about their upcoming wedding.
Felicia walks in and greets the happy couple. Eric and Stephanie worry that she should be resting, but she says that she wanted to check on the wedding plans. Stephanie says that the flowers and menu are set. And so are the lawyers and the pre-nups, Felicia quips, admitting that she knows they probably plan to divorce once she's in the ground. Stephanie gives her a look, but Felicia says she's just being a realist, looking at things as they are like her mom would. Eric asks if she wants to call this off. Felicia says she's a realist, not a pessimist. She sees the two of them bickering all the time. But deep down, she bets that they're still in love with each other, but they're just too stubborn to admit it. Eric suggests that she's seeing what she wants to see. She asks him to take one day at a time until she's gone. She thinks that maybe, by the time she's gone, he and Stephanie will still be able to stand each other. And even if that doesn't happen, they'll have done something that means a lot to her. She starts to feel some pain and suggests that she'll get to bed now after all, leading to her sharing a hug with her parents.

Ridge wants answers from Nick.
Over at Brooke's, Ridge demands that Nick and Brooke admit the truth: he thought they claimed that everything was over between them! It is over, Nick says, but that's not the issue; rather, the issue is his making sure that Ridge doesn't slither back into Brooke's life! Brooke tries to defuse the situation, but Ridge accuses Nick of being too involved with his [Nick's] mother in law. Nick says that his life is none of Ridge's business. Ridge says it is, since he has a dying sister who's depending on Nick and Bridget to raise her son. On top of that, Nick has another child on the way, so Ridge doesn't think Nick should be hanging around here. Brooke says that Nick is committed to his wife and children; then why is he marking his territory here while his pregnant wife sits at home? Ridge asks. He orders Nick to end this, or he'll go to Bridget and tell her what's going on! Nick says that he has seen Ridge pull this act with Brooke time and again, disappointing her at every turn, and he's not going to watch Brooke forgive Ridge so he can do it again! Ridge supposes that Nick thinks he changed Brooke. Nick says that actually, Brooke learned to trust and respect herself. Ridge says that he expects Brooke to make him jump through hoops right now. But when it's all over, he knows Brooke will take him back, because that's how it's supposed to be. He tells his little brother that he gets what he wants - and what he wants is Brooke!

Ridge says he understands that Nick let Brooke get under his skin, because that's who Brooke is. He thinks Nick is like all the other guys who "served" Brooke over the years, those guys aren't around now because they couldn't measure up to what Brooke had with him, and neither will Nick! He points out that Nick has a life waiting at home, even though Nick doesn't deserve someone as pure as Bridget. But since Nick somehow manages to make Bridget happy, Ridge thinks Nick should get home to her and stay away from Brooke! Brooke tells Ridge he is wrong; Nick isn't like anyone else, she states, including Ridge. She then turns to Nick and says that Ridge is right that they can't keep doing this. Is she saying they can't look out for each other as a family? Nick asks. Brooke reminds him that he has a life with Bridget, so she can't let him protect her [Brooke] at Bridget's expense. That's why she wants him to go home and let her handle this. Nick reluctantly leaves.

Brooke tells Ridge that she's changed.
Once Nick is gone, Brooke asks Ridge again to please leave. He will if she tells him how she feels, Ridge says, since he has to admit that he was scared by the way she looked at Nick. He felt like he lost her forever. Nick is married to Bridget, Brooke says, so nothing will happen between her and Nick. Ridge says he's worried about something else. He fears that there's no hope for him and Brooke, so he begs her to tell him that there is. Brooke asks if he really expected her to just take him back like nothing happened. He may think he knows her, but she's NOT his Logan anymore. He tore that apart, so she had to find his own way. And what she found was a man who put her first in his life, the way Ridge never could. Whether it was Taylor, Caroline or even Stephanie, Brooke was always competing for his love, but she never came first, and she thinks she deserves that. Ridge says that she's right. He admits he was selfish, stupid, childish and cruel to walk away from the life she'd waited years for. He wanted to please everyone but pleased no one. Without her, he feels dead inside, and that's why he's here, begging for another chance, even though he knows he has no right to ask for one. He needs her to please forgive him one more time. A tearful Brooke turns away from him and goes to the stairs, heading upstairs without saying a word.
