Sally arrives at Forrester, wondering why Thorne has called her down. If this is about her earning her room and board, she comments... Darla tells her that they love having her at home, and they called her here because they need her help. Thorne explains that Megan has been promoted, so he needs help interviewing candidates for the executive assistant position. Sally reminds him that her decision making skills aren't what they used to be, but Thorne thinks an old pro like her is just what he needs to pick the person who will watch his back. Sally agrees that things have gotten messy with Queen Stephanie making all these changes, so she agrees to brighten her day and sit in with Thorne and Darla for the interviews.

Executive Assistant candidate #1, Chrissy, shows off her assets...
Darla brings in the first applicant, a busty, perky blonde named Chrissy. Shaking her ample assets, Chrissy tells Thorne that she thought they'd be alone. Thorne introduces her to Sally and tells her what a privilege it is to be in the room with the Spectra grand dame. He suggests they get started; Chrissy is OK with that, so she takes off her jacket, showing off a revealing blouse that makes Thorne blush and Sally roll her eyes. During the interview, Chrissy smiles and runs her fingers through her hair as she breathlessly tells Thorne about how far she's willing to go for Forrester. Thorne says that he thinks they've found something. Darla rolls her eyes as Sally quips that they've found the Himalayas! She thanks Chrissy for her time, and Darla shows the young woman to the door. Once the girl is gone, Sally says that Chrissy was a bomb who spelled double trouble with a capital double-D!

...while the next candidate, Robert, is too soft-spoken...
After six more applicants (and six more bombs), a frustrated Thorne wonders how he'll find someone who can handle this job. He needs someone who can do more than make coffe. Sally looks at the next candidate's resume and thinks he might be what Thorne needs. Darla shows the candidate, a man named Robert, in. Thorne looks over his resume and admires his international experience. He explains that they need someone assertive and asks Robert to tell them about himself. When Robert's answer is barely audible, Thorne and Sally think they've struck out again!

...and candidate #3, tattooed Raymond, fails to impress.
The next candidate, Raymond, is a guy with piercing and tattoos who has ideas about bringing class and dignity to Forrester. Unimpressed, Thorne thanks him for his time and shows him out.

Thorne tells Sally that he wants her to work for him.
Once Raymond is gone, Thorne laments his lack of success. He wonders why it's so hard to find someone who knows this business and who is willing to work hard when needed. Sally has to wonder if such a person exists: Thorne says she does, because he's looking right at her! He tells Sally that none of these applicants can come close to her abilities, which is why he needs her help! Stunned, Sally says that she's flattered, but she reminds him that her days in the rag trade are over. Thorne says he needs her brains, instincts and grit with the way things are going around here, which is why he's urging her to take the job.

Taylor makes a confession to Stephanie.
Stephanie stops by the Bel Air mansion to see Taylor, and the matriarch as usual gushes with praise about her saintly daughter in law. She thinks Ridge is lucky to have someone as understanding as Taylor for a wife, especially after his missing the holidays. Taylor tells Stephanie to stop, because she's doesn't deserve this praise - at least, not anymore. She's not perfect, and she's tired of being called that. She's made mistakes, and her marriage isn't as perfect as Stephanie makes it out to be. Stephanie says that no marriage is perfect, but what's important is the integrity that Taylor brings to hers. Taylor tells her mother in law that she has a confession to make; she tells Stephanie that she was lonely and frustrated when Ridge didn't come home for New Year's Eve, and now her marriage may suffer for it. Stephanie asks what she means, so Taylor tells her about the kiss with Hector. She points out that Stephanie would have slapped Brooke by now for such an indiscretion, so she tells her mother in law to let her have it. Stephanie, however, says she has no intention of doing so. The kiss didn't mean anything, she says, so it's best forgotten. Taylor then counters that Brooke saw them kissing, so she thinks she has to tell Ridge before Brooke can. Stephanie agrees that they have to tell Ridge first.
Taylor tells Stephanie that she's been thinking about where she and Ridge went astray, and she finally figured out that a marriage cannot survive without total honesty. That's why she has to come clean with Ridge about everything, including a secret she's been keeping. She tells Stephanie that she has an indiscretion in her past. She never told Ridge about it, so she wrote him a letter explaining it. But Ridge never got the letter, so it's time she told him about this. Stephanie realizes what Taylor is talking about. She knows that Taylor slept with James Warwick years ago, and she doesn't want Taylor to tell Ridge about that. It's been years, she argues, and telling Ridge about it now will mean the end of their marriage! Stephanie doesn't want to see that happen!

Brooke seeks Nick's advice.
Brooke stops by Marone Industries to see Nick; he's not in his office, so she picks up a shell from his desk. Looking at it, she flashes back to a time when she was kissing Nick. Nick comes in and tells her that he got that in Cameroon. She puts it down and greets him, Nick asks what brings her by; she says she needs his advice about something. She explains to him that she learned something about Taylor, and she's not sure if she should go to Ridge with it. Nick asks what she saw: she tells him that she saw Taylor kissing Hector in Taylor's bedroom on New Year's Eve. She thinks of the look on Taylor's face as she said it was completely innocent. Nick points out that Taylor let Hector into the house. Brooke asks how "St. Taylor" could turn down a man in need. Nick tells her that Taylor's no saint; if she was, she would have respected Brooke's marriage to Ridge. Brooke says that she can't help but wonder what other things Taylor has done that they don't know about. She thinks this is her chance to get vindication after all the put downs she's endured from Stephanie and Taylor over the years. She wonders if she's wrong to feel that way after all the mistakes she's made. Nick tells her to stop, as she's the finest person he knows. She says that she's waited for years for the chance to turn the tables on Taylor. And now that she has it, Nick asks, what's she going to do?

Nick asks Brooke if she wants a life with Ridge.
Brooke thinks about all the times Stephanie called Taylor refined while calling her the slut of the valley, And then, Taylor and Stephanie worked together to destroy Brooke's marriage, robbing RJ of a father just so Taylor could have her life back. Brooke recalls all the times "Little Miss Perfect" Taylor has skated by in life, so she thinks it's time that Taylor was held accountable. Nick understands her feelings, but he has to wonder why she would care. Brooke explains to Nick that she never would have found her feelings for him had Ridge not chosen Taylor. However, she knows he is committed to Bridget, so there can't be anything between them. At the same time, though, she thinks about raising RJ without a father. Nick asks what she's saying: does she want a life with Ridge again?
